Exactly. The whole point of Joker's look is that he is the opposite to Batman. Joker is colourful, extravagant, chaotic, and unrepressed. Batman is darkness, utilitarian, order, and repression.
So why are they so scared to make Joker a zany crazy clown? Are they worried people won't take a man in a clown suit seriously? Because he's not supposed to be taken seriously.

Alien 3 makes me angry to this day for the beginning alone. I hate it when a sequel kills off a character or changes a major plot point (e.g breaking up a couple we spent the last movie rooting for), and I ESPECIALLY hate it when it makes the previous movie less enjoyable to watch. I don't enjoy Aliens as much now because I know that Newt and Hicks are going to be killed shortly after the film ends :(

If Clouds identity crisis didn't exist, Sephiroth wouldn't have been able to toy with him so easily throughout the game. It's A pretty big aspect of their entire rivalry in the story.
As for who the Ancients are...I don't know why you're so confused by that. It's pretty clearly explained in the game that they are the original ancestors of the planet.

Loved the combat and didn't even mind the story of Shuyin and Lenne. But hated the goofy tone, the pointless side quests, and how Yuna basically felt like a totally different character from FFX
