Let's ask God; if they says nothing, we'll know he or she is totally cool with the idea.
Thing is, many AAA games cost between $20M and $100M to make. So if, say, Tomb Raider were to have sold less than $1M then it would certainly would have been a colossal failure due to the cost. Analysts say that the game's cost requires 5M sales to break even, meaning it would have cost roughly $100M to make ($40 of a $60 game's price is retailer profit and advertising costs).
So Square Enix wasn't out of this world in their minds for considering making around 10M...
Not necessarily; you should never try to fix what isn't broken, especially if it is well-received. More of the same, but improved in every way is usually better than innovation for the sake of it. What games need to survive is developers/producers who know where the line that calls for innovation is and what doesn't need fixing.
Problem is, many developers and publishers don't know where that line is. Look at CoD, very little innovation and is the epitome of "...
Actually, he can pick her up; her power doesn't make her heavier.
Or a troll, just go onto his profile and look at his comments.
Anything Day-1 should be free.
Gun and costume packs: $1-$2.50
Map Packs: $2.50-$5
Small Mission Packs: $5
Large Mission Packs: $10
Full on Expansions: $20
That's how it should be.
Anybody trying to sell anything that actually knows business will say that the best figures are roughly triple what the product cost to make and distribute it. Double is good, but obviously anything over triple should be phenomenal in the seller's eyes since they paid off the cost, can put at least that much into the next game, and then still have enough to do whatever with.
Because the EU and US having different statues available to them is indicative of the game's quality lol. Also, Injustice isn't censored; it is a fighting game between DC superheros and is marketed towards superhero fans, no Mortal Kombat fans. Meaning it needs to be marketable to superhero fans of all ages.
If you think this game is being censored, then you don't know what censorship is.
@Shadowsteal.
For the same reason people made a big deal out of Mass Effect 1's sex scene; they're idiots that don't even know what the hell they're talking about.
And for those who don't know, watch the "sex" scene for ME1 on YouTube real quick; several people apparently thought it was a hardcore porn video by how they behaved towards it. To the point Fox News even admitted "yeah, they blew this out of proportion and we didn't ...
What's with the title? As if a violent video game cannot be art.
From what I hear, it doesn't happen during the game's events. The game is set several months after that; read the Injustice comics, because it tells the story and HOW it happened is a bit stunning even when you already know WHAT happened. Especially what Superman does shortly after.
I wonder how long it will be before someone says "Mass Effect 3".
I'll be waiting until two years after XBox's release before I buy either PS4 or XBox, but Sony right now has dibs on me buying their console first again. I bought the PS3 first and the 360 second, but wound up with the majority of my games (two-thirds of them) for my XBox. With Microsoft seeming to focus more on a console doing everything and less on gaming and Sony seeming to focus more on gaming than anything else, I can't help but feel Sony will get my money first.
I don't find it all that strange. Injecting yourself into the character's shoes is one of the more common playstyles, yes; but many who do not do that feel the "bad-ass male space-marine" get's a bit boring. After all, the market is completely saturated with bad-ass male soldiers ripping everyone to shreds. So many male gamers tend to play only or primarily as women when they get the chance in an attempt to make the story feel a bit fresher. I personally played maleshep ...
Let's hope it's actually a good one this time, if the rumor winds up true.
Nope, that's my point. You play solely as maleshep, I play only femshep, while others play a little of both. If someone cares that someone else is playing in any way that is different from their own personal style, that doesn't make them a hipster. What it makes them is immature and egocentric.
How is only playing as Femshep a hipster thing?
How is this a snuff game? By that logic, every game where you kill enemies in a faction is a snuff game. GTA is one on criminals and cops. Farcry 3 is one on slavers. CoD is one of everyone but 'merica. Left 4 Dead is one on zombies because, seriously, all they want is a hug.
You're either a troll or you clearly have no idea what a snuff is.
What the hell did he expect to do in the game if not kill enemies? Invite them over for tea and crumpets for ten hours and tell them "you're wrong and mean" with them magically turning good?
4 is a bit low; a 6 sounds about right as it is merely an above-average game at the moment that, due to it being able to have massive updates because of it being an MMO, can eventually be raised to a 7 or 8 if the right moves are done.
