While RDRs graphics are damn good, GTAVs are superior. Thats just fact. And no story is original, what matters now is how it is presented and I dont think you have anything that proves Rockstar wont manage to one up RDR, regardless of the fact that it is among the best of the best we have seen this past generation. Until the game is out, you can hardly claim you know whether it will be bland or boring, let alone completely inferior to RDR.
GTA5's graphics are clearly superior to RDR's, that's just fact. As for the story, could I borrow your time machine? Considering I doubt you've played it and, thus, couldn't know how the story plays out. Even the most dull premises can turn out to be incredible stories.

Nevermind, my memory was wrong there >_< Been a while since I picked up any of the old games or looked at their cases. Then again, the large difference in overall quality from X and X-2 should have been enough to tip me off that was wrong lol.
Square Enix's first game wasn't X-2; their first Final Fantasy game after the merger between Square and Enix was VIII.
Not to sound like I'm dismissing your experience, but was yours out of warranty? The logic is that, since it YLoD-ed out of warranty, it is considered "lasted longer than it should have". Corporations are dicks like that, Sony included. I've always felt they only waved it in the sense of "great, a chance to steal a competitor's customer from them" lol.

Doubtful. None of the GTAs had regenerating health. RDR was the only R* game that had it, but Max Payne 3 didn't and R* said the gameplay would be somewhat similar to MP3.
Capcom going out would not be a bad thing, just look at THQ. All that needs to be done is the right developers purchasing the rights to individual IPs. With Capcom's current direction with their business practices and game quality, this seems to be among the more favorable scenarios for gamers.

Isn't it pathetic how our society praises the overpaid CEOs while criticizing those laid off or fired for "not working hard enough"? Especially when it comes to minimum wage jobs, despite the current minimum wage, especially in comparison to the CEOs' pay, being disincentivizing more than anything else.

Think of it more like sleep mode or hibernation on your pc or laptop. Its still on, it just isnt running anything. It, like laptops, will likely only overheat when it is actively running.
