It'll be close, but I wouldn't be surprised of COD came out ahead.
I can scream all day about how much I dislike COD, but the "yearly" sales don't lie. COD is a staple at this point.
All the same though GTA's dev time combined with the slightly waning popularity of COD might mean GTA will out sell. It will be close because, as I understand, MW is considered the better COD.

Crysis didn't feel like CoD but every installment after kept trying to be more like it. Warhead was Crytek's answer to CoD, more linear and cinematic.
EA's been trying to get a CoD of its own for years.
There was nothing unique about Crysis 2, at least on the PC. It was completely forgettable. It just never let go of your hand long enough to let you create you own memorable experience.

IMO that DEMO crosses a line in misrepresenting the final game. Pitchford makes it sound as though he is actually playing the game and thus leads one to believe that this will be in the final version.

There will not be an 8 gig patch. At most the entire game is 10 gig, but I'm pretty sure its well below that. High res textures for the entire game might push 1 or 2 gig depending on resolution.
They could do a major patch, but it certainly won't hit 8 gigs.

Constant upgrades on PC is a myth. This GPU is for gamers with more money than sense.
I have to admit, the DEMO was far superior. There is really no way to deny that. Its not so much the visual quality but the "atmosphere". In that regard the differences are night and day.
Gabe has said that Valve would do everything it can to make the games you purchased available in some way. There is no binding contract that forces them to do anything, to my knowledge.
You can take that however want, but personally Valve hasn't given me any reason not to trust they will do just that.
I doubt Valve is hurting for money. Still, I'm interested to know whats going on.
One of the most frustrating things about Valve is how secretive they are.
