Seeing a lot more disagrees than a thought could be possible. Does that mean people are actually surprised by this news? Wasn't that what Activision wanted, yearly releases of COD?
Valve is not releasing a console. They are working on ways to bring the PC to the living room.
Consoles are closed systems and mostly proprietary hardware. (nothing off-the-shelf in a console.) Pretty much the EXACT opposite of what Gabe was talking about.
"Steam-box" is a PC with a console form factor, that's all. And this is just one way they want do it. The other being in home streaming.
Steam-box = PC. PC has exclusives. St...
Title should be "Why I don't like Skyrim: The tale of a writer who couldn't think of anything relevant to write about so chose to offer an opinion on a game that was a year and a half old."
I love Skyrim and don't think its overrated, see I can do it too.
Can anyone explain why this hasn't been released already?
Starting to think Blizzard is just lazy.
If I got it wrong let me know.
*cough* AIG *cough*
So let me get this straight, if I like a game that you don't like, you should buy it because I say its good, and if you don't I get to call you an entitled whiner for not shelling out 60$ whenever Capcom or whoever demands. That about right?
Ultimately poor sales are on the devs and pubs not the gamers. Need I remind you that gamers are the most gullible consumers on the planet.
"It’s almost—almost!—as if some people think game publishers are entitled to sales regardless of whether or not customers particularly care for the product."
This ^
This is exactly what bugs me. No matter what controversy people dream up or whining that takes place sales are the determining factor.
This just happened with Warfighter. Gamers are to blame for everything it seems. "The game was great, gamers are just too stingy a...
As long as they focus on making this the end of the trilogy, its totally fine to keep future options open. No deciding a few months prior to launch to leaves things open for a fourth.
Make it definitive.
Yep, and then they will be shocked when its completely destroyed by GTA5 and the franchise in canned for poor sales.
I remember Vampire: TM bloodlines.
I want it yesterday, but I don't want to go up against GTA5.
For the record, I don't really believe there will be a fall release.
1. They are using the dx9 renderer for the screens because they are still working on the new renderer.
2. Go get a high end PC and run Witcher 2 at max settings (w/ uber sampling). Then you will see how wrong you are.
Clearly some people have issues with reading. If you are disappointed with the screens, I suggest you actually read articles before commenting on how their PS1 could max out this game.
Words cannot even express the wrongness of your comment. The greatest linguist in the world would be brought to their knees, weeping, just attempting to do so.
It adds value. Yes, in terms of practicality it may not be as useful as some other features, but, its far more than just convenient. Simply knowing its there adds value, not only to the system but older titles as well.
The Witcher 2 on PC might as well be next-gen to the current gen consoles.
Your standards are messed up if you think Witcher 2 is unimpressive. Prepare for next gen disappointment I guess.
I'll say this, I could see Deep Silver bringing back STALKER but I couldn't see Ubisoft.
That's not a prediction, just saying there's a microscopic chance with Deep Silver, IMO.
Certainly hope BioWare is watching.
I must be like, the only one who loved the combat of 2.
All I really want is for CDPR to do whatever they want to do. Because whatever is wrong in 3 will end up getting fixed(for free), so I'm not worried.
That's true unfortunately. And if this is true, its an extremely bad move. They should wait a few months, even just 1 year.
If The Witcher 2 is anything to go by, then you can rest assured Witcher 3 will be extremely impressive.
The Witcher 2 is easily one of the top 5 best looking games of all time, period.
Whatever the new consoles can do a PC can do, this is just a fact.
Its fake.
Pot meet Kettle.
