They toned that type of humor way down in SR4. It was still silly, but not SR3 silly.
I thought SR4 was surprising well written. I expected more of SR3 which was so-so.

Red Faction is the perfect example of how it can't. Going from RF:G, literally into linear tunnels was a poor idea.
RF:Armageddon wasn't terrible, just felt like a huge downgrade and really made GeoMod pointless.
If you take a series back, you really better have a good reason.

They added physics where none existed before. I can't think of another game that's done that. Vanilla Skyrim had no character physics, that includes the hair and capes.
Is it perfect? No, but its actual simulated physics being modded into a game. Whether its hair, capes, breasts, or a giant dong, its still impressive work.

I'm not a fan of EA, but there are FAR worse companies out there. Companies that nearly destroyed our economy, bankrupted thousands, weren't punished at all, and think its really funny.

Its only a trick if you fail as a consumer. Do your homework. In fact just glancing at the forums on Steam will give you a pretty good idea about the quality of the game. A little more research and then you decide if you want to spend your money.
There are a number of very good/promising Early Access games out there. Its really not that difficult to sort the good from the bad. But if you think you can't you can always wait until the game is completed.
That's why I said (mostly). Disney is going with 7, 8, and 9 so that's most likely the big reason why they are holding off on game development. Though it could just be more of the same.

Let's be honest, with KOTOR 3 there is very little reason to play SWTOR.
SWTOR is literally KOTOR 3 with an MMO slapped on to it. The MMO part of it is pretty lame to. But it satisfies that SW RPG fix.

Servers are still pretty full and WvW is pretty active on most servers. So you're wrong that GW2 is dead, far from it.
I grant you that its certainly not for the epeen crowd. The ones that spend years playing and think that entitles them to all the spoils.
I love how GW2 handles grouping. Having started playing early-ish MMO's, you come to learn that jumping in and helping someone with a group mobs isn't really a good thing unless you group up first. So generally you steer clear (at least that's what I do) of other players in PVE.
But in GW2 all that is gone. You feel free to jump in and help with out worrying about kill stealing. As long as you contribute, you are rewarded. No matter what level you are you will alw...
