Red Alert 4...for consoles? And whats with making it an FPSTPSRTSMMOFPRPG, thing? As bad ideas go this one is a winner.
I would rather never see RA ever again then have "Tiberium Twilight" happen again.
Actually that isn't true there was motion it just wasn't a lot.
If you want to see the game in motion all you have to do is search Google. There are plenty of videos.
2 or 3 what? Mods? Either your PC is ancient or you did something wrong.
I have a mid range (GTX 660 - i5 - 8 gb ram) and ran Skyrim with over 70 mods (enb included), it ran like butter.
Made my GTX 460 have a tough time though.
Guess that's the beauty of being able to choose which mods you want to install from the many available.
I should shocked by all the outrage, but I'm just not anymore.
Are people actually surprised an MMO has bugs?
MMOs like ESO NEVER have a smooth launch. There are ALWAYS bugs and it take months you iron them all out. They also ban you for exploiting.
Nothing stops the N4G Hate Train Express.
Skyrim was patched a week after release and had community fixes 'before' the actual release.
PC games are patched the instant the patch is ready for release. However long it takes to make the fixes is how long it takes. There is no screening process for "PC games", multiplats are different.
Consoles will be doing many new things, I have no doubt about that. But it still doesn't come close to my 'qualifications'. I'm just not ...
@randomass171
That 'was' the case, but for a while now Valve has been "greenlighting" hundreds of games.
Valve is ditching Greenlight and making a more direct way to get games on Steam.
You can load and play something that is free.
It was tough for me to stay awake long enough to finish it.
Great game. Conveyors were just added (originals were activated) today along with collector blocks.
Finally, I can build a workable ore vacuum!
I only have a handful that are "un-played" and its due to bundles.
For example, a few years back THQ had their library on sale for like $49.99. It was several games, but I didn't care about playing World of Zoo.
That is about the only game I haven't at least tried. If I buy a game on Steam its because I want to play that particular game.
I agree if its a choice between Guerrilla and Armageddon, its Guerrilla all day long. I have spent hours destroying buildings and (with a mod) rebuilding them.
But I will defend Armageddon just bit. When you consider its lineage, its brought down quite a lot and rightly so. The transition from RF:G was just terrible. And as a concept it was just a bad idea to go from open world (where GeoMod, which is responsible for the amazing building physics) was really useful, to, litera...
"It's just a way to show gratitude to those taking time out of their busy lives to attend. Nothing more."
That's a bit of an oversimplification don't you think? Its clearly designed to show the one giving the big ticket items in a positive light. Those who do that are trying to gain favor.
To say that this is nothing more than gratitude to journalists for doing their job is pretty naive.
This is not a "Ubisoft"...
I don't think so. I think it will peak (if it hasn't already) and remain until it evolves into something else. There are still gamers that would prefer paying one price for access to everything.
It won't take over, but it has its place.
From what I understand, the DK2 is the last before the consumer version. I forget where I read that but I am 90% sure it came from OVR.
I expect it to be cheaper, but not by much. Just have to wait and see. I will plan on it being around the $400 mark just to avoid any disappointment.
Pretty much what Neonridr said, though it also predated "textures" and "640x480". You had to get the remastered version on high tech "compact disc" for that. Ohh 90's:)
I also played Rogue Squadron and the comparison I made was that it was more "arcadey" than X-Wing and TIE Fighter. They weren't full blown sims but they had that feel. RS was fun though.
A game of its time. A time when LucasArts knew what they were doing and George Lucas wasn't systematically destroying Star Wars.
The only "modern" equivalent was Jump to Lightspeed, the space expansion for SW Galaxies, but unfortunately it was killed. Galactic Starfighter for SWTOR is just an insult to JTL.
How LucasArts gave up practically owning the space combat sim genre, I'll never understand.
TIE Fighter is by far my ...
About 2 years is what I've heard. Pieces are going to be released over time until its complete.
Having heard both accounts on the Battlefront 3 thing, I'm convinced that both the developers and LucasArts were at fault.
You had Free Radical throwing all the blame on LucasArts and then LucasArts throwing it all back on Free Radical. My opinion, the truth is right in the middle.
In the end though LucasArts needed something they could milk for cash and to stay relevant as a developer/publisher (<-identity crisis is another problem they had IMO) and ...
I doubt it. They will likely milk SWTOR for a couple years before doing another KOTOR.
Just my opinion, but, If there was a KOTOR 3 I would not have played SWTOR.
