I think that the graphics were some of the best adapted to 720p or less released last gen! you can see improvements, but the biggest benefits will come from the higher frame rate (obviously a more crisp image is always welcome!... thankfully they run the shaders at higher precision as well too).
The other director team took over, I feel that restarting almost from scratch is better then trying to rewrite a few paragraphs and add a couple of commas here and there to tweak an existing story (mind you, I really loved UC3, but Ir really loved UC 2 and TLOU as well, so this is not a judgment on anyone's quality as a writer/producer)...
People are making too much out of these news story, she has moved on (I hope) and ND went their way, which seems pretty amazing so far...
I think the games presented by MS were mostly un-inspiring in therms of making me want to play them... I meam, most of them, I loved cuphead and I liked the whatever core pre-rendered sequence (I have no clue what the game will be)...
On the other side Sony unveiled Horizon, more UC3, Shenmue 3... FF 7 remake, etc. I mean, people were jumping up and down laughing, crying, etc.
I would say that I'd be surprised if Halo 5 had such a big impact, Gears is to...
It would be great if it was real backward compatibility, what they offer is certainly better than nothing, but it will still be limited in scope and apparently performance as well...
I don't expect Sony to follow suit for the PS3 library, obviously it's technically possible to emulate the Cell, but doing it in a fast enough way would probably be a lot of trouble and get them very little sales... and I personally prefer to have the option to get a few ports of my favor...
Nah, it has to have been revealed in an MS E3 conference to count as a good exclusive, we all know Halo is the biggest gaming franchise EVER, Gears is close second, Forza is the biggest racing franchise EVER... (cough cough forget all other franchises that manage to sell more, even if they are also exclusives) ... also, only sales in the US count toward worldwide domination!!!! (or catching up a couple of months a year)... I mean, if you set the rules just right xbox team is bound to win! <...
totally agree, I can't play it on the PS4 as it is (thankfully a friend lent it to me so I could try it) I find the camera movement too stiff...
It really does not bother everyone, the one who lent it to me never noticed any performance issues with it! maybe I gamed on PC for too long...
I see no new argument here, this is yet another USA centered article...
While it's true that the PS4 does not completely outsell the XB1 in the US like it did last year, it's still selling almost twice as many units in total worldwide on a weekly basis... I mean, if this is what "taking a beating means" I wonder what it means for every other consoles on the market?
As for the rest, we still have not seen what will and will be actually ship l...
Nope... can we wait until the game is out for that kind of analysis?
It would sell much more if it was on PS4, but I think there is a PC version that will be released as well... ? or did they can it?
What does he man "reclaim" MS never had the gaming "crown"... at best they were also ran for 3 generations now... no crown for you!
My heart is beating again!
Is thius a joke article?
it's surprising that the game is larger at all, why would it be bigger? did they retouch some textures or models?
just upping the resolution of the frame ufeer does nothing for the final size of the game files... same goes for the frame rate... it may just be the different OS and architecture that resulted in a bigger compiled package...
So they're still apologizing about the performance issues of their system...
What about just not playing much with the new games anymore?
Personally I play more older stuff and the real single player games (I don't want to play games collectively much more than I want to read collectively).... the next games I'll get will be a few indies and Uncharted 4 whenever it comes out, that's all there is for me now a days.
Just don't buy any game that was presented that way... if it upsets you that much and other follow suit this won't happen again, but don't be selective about your argument (with cops out like, well, I don't care about say target resolution, target frame rate, or well, the game is fun anyway, despite having a little details here and there)... because in the end they're all linked together, especially if you were thinking that the game was running on consoles from the beginn...
Yes obviously, the backlash has finally started, people are returning their PS4s to the store in great numbers and they are getting XB1 because of all the great games it has!
They're consoles, 8GB will be "plenty" as long as they ship them, this is what people have when they work on these machines... like 512 was enough until late 2013 for the PS360... even tho it was outdated a year in by decent PCs... that memory issue has always been a big drawback for the consoles, even back in the NES days, it had only 4KB when it shipped, which was extremely small even by 1984 standards (the Macintosh shipped with an "anemic" 128KB in the same year an...
Wipeout HD
God of War III
Uncharted 2
Uncharted 3
The Last of Us
Honorable mention: Pixel Junk Monsters 2 player mode on PS3!
Minus a couple of indie titles, everything else was junk on the consoles! (thankfully I had my old consoles and a decent PC)
Driveclub is one of the best racer released in the last couple of years, it feels like a descendant of the old Sega arcade racers (still some of the best gmes released, over 20 years after they first appeared in the arcades!!)
Anyway, FH2 is not what I would call a racing game, there are no trackes per say, you spend more time painting your cars and choosing how much air you put in the tires than learning the tracks, which is what racing is all about... not leveling up some B...
It's always cute to see FH2 in these comparison videos!
Keep trying!
Exclusives matter to people only if they aren't on the console/platform they already own... otherwise they're just one more game in the library of a given system...
That being said, just the hype for Uncahrted 4 could keep me happy about my PS4 purchase until 2018 (hopefully they do release it in 2016).
