I think it would be preferable, especially when things more really fast... but it's not a necessity like it is at 30fps...
Outside the forums I don't know anyone who owns an XB1! ... only PS4s here!
Well, frostbite games do run better on the ps4 than on the XB1... obviously if you have a good gaming PC it will run even better on it too...
The platform the use to show off their tech is the one they feel is most relevant to it,last get it was often the 360 as it ran most games better, this time around it's the PS4 because, well games run better on it... PC versions are too un-predictible.
These people are ignorant, didn't we get rocket league on ps4 (among the weekly releases??) This is a sleeper hit if there was ever such a thing... Plus god of war remake, etc. I don't know about the xb1/Wii u release schedule for the summer, but the ps4 had plenty of attention, these people have to stop acting as if only the few first party exclusives ms release in the holidays every year count as games...
Thé funny thing is that this game is doa for me, I don't play mp... I even had battlefield 4 for the sp campaign... Mind you, I find this really sad as I love how it seems to be in the few segments I saw in preview videos, replaying the great battles of the Star wars trilogy on today's consoles would have been AMAZING!!!
I'll get my action fix elsewhere...
I don't know, I mean except the building destruction in the demo of crackdown 3 (this really is the ONLY impressive thing in this game) I have seen nothing but run of the mill titles (halo 5, TR:2015, another forza and Gears...Scalebound, the douche bag version of Panzer Dragoon?) they have shown nothing that made me say, hey this is really nice/impressive/imaginative/th e story seems interesting... nothing at all... yet somehow MS has the upper hand as far as PR goes :-/

Oh great! As someone part of the studio I can report we never though of this!!! might as well advised them to use the infinite power of thwe cloud while you are at it....
My guess is they will make a scaled back version fo their game that runs on all their target platforms and offer the usual frame rate/resolution, etc. variations... we will never know which compromises were done during the development phase.
I don't think you understand parity...
let's say you have some piece of software that you want to have on two different platforms, one with almost twice as many users and close to 50% more processing power than the other... it's normal that those on the more powerful hardware expect higher reslution/framerate (or a combination of both).
Cloud processing requires: 1 to be willing to pay monthly processing and storage bills once the game is released...
can't argue with their logic on pricing, Nintendo should up their game, if at least they had their virtual consoles purchases spread across Wii, Wii U and N3DS (DS as well maybe, at least for 8 and 16-bit games)... their prices would make sense, the games run inside an emulator for each platform anyway... and having to re-buy my virtual consoles from the Wii days is the reason why 1 - I stopped buying them early on ... 2 I never got a Wii U (one of the reasons).
I would a...
Nah, it seems to work as they show it does.. plenty of destruction... the catch is in the sacrifices they made to reach this...
1 it only works in multi player, the speed campaign does not rely on the servers...
2 it's impressive only when destruction happens (I mean look at those graphics.. ouch my eyes)
3 mp has a maximum of 4 players right now, the maps are probably not that big 9(makes sense, you don't want people looking for each other too long) .. t...
this is a bad examplem some of the best games that were released, since forever, were narative driven!
Even back in the 16-bit days we used to love games with cut scenes between levels... Back in the 32-bit area the JRPGs took an important role and had extensive text, amazing soud tracks to convey ambiance... more recently we had Half-Life 2, God of War (series) Gears of War, even Halo to some extent putting a lot of emphasis on their story/lore... obviously the kings of that...
The Atari 2600 is an incredibly powerful box too!!!
I think bundling the 3 games from the mainline series is not "overpriced" (unless they decided to sell the bundle 120$... I mean, you could make an argument for TLoU:DE or Thomb Raider:DE being overly expensive, but this one with 3 games is worth every penny... This is the most interesting release this autumn on any platform! by a country mile!
Nah I want Mario on my PS4! Not on a hand-held device, I only play on TV... maybe both?
We shall see what the NX is...
The ski u does not deserve any sales, it has to earn them... to most people it seems Nintendo screwed up the machine specs wise and this causes all kind of trouble, including limited 3rd party support (this and the forced game pad bundle) I mea, who in their right mind would upgrade from a ps3/x360 to this? As soon as people noticed that the wii u was almost on part with the old consoles the sales dropped, same for third party support... all these great Nintendo games on the wii u look like H...
changing api version mid-project is very risky, I would not try this for any kind ofsoftware... this is what he means, and it makes perfect sense, especially if the gains are expectd to be marginal for your specific project.
as of now it's more like around 60fps (343 calls it percieved 60fps) there is no reason to think it will be fixed, like most games a few months from release, it's not going to release very different than the e3 showing!
as for the ps4, don't worry, the list is long, depending on what you want to exclude... there is no bs AROUND THE FEEL OF 1080P OR THE FEEL OF 60FPS the ps4 has nothing to prove...
i think resolution and frame rate are the least of the problems this game has, it just seemed boring :-{
@jholden3249 a lot of people seem to repeat the same line of argumentsyou do:
1 - There is no point in Nintendo making a powerful console (the first Wii did great!!) they just need the right gimmick...
2 - Third parties just hate Nintendo and will never do business with them because reasons...
Responses:
1 - Strong(ish) hardware would bring in third parties , this is a Nintendo console, many will at the very least test the waters if...
Honestly, I don't really care for them, now that it plays media I got what I wanted most... the rest is quick and does the job (it's snappy, which is a great feature in and of itself).
I would gladly take an icon grid for my games/apps like the grid view in Steam, that would let me see almost all my games at one time.. I could press X to see the current "details" screen or square to launch a game directly!.. plain and simple!
But honestly, t...
