Keep in mind that during the 360 days MS sold more consoles than Sony every single months in the US, not just in the "holiday" season...
Even last year MS had to basically give away the XB1 in some bundles + rebate cards to outsell the PS4 locally, and they did pretty well in therms of sales, but as soon as the deals were over people stopped buying the console...
Also, the month of October had a very small difference in sales between the two machin...
They care about the US sales, they care about all regions... and the US is a pretty big market...
However, they're probably not willing to give away consoles just to impress MS, they'll just offer a bit more than last year, so the sales will probably be closer than last year (I don<t think Sony will be behind MS in November and December this time (they may lose one) or if they are the months will be pretty close between the two... unlike last year when MS practical...
Now that is a strange domination... I wonder where this guy got his dictionary?
Domination from behind?
Oh these are the same people who think the XB1 is competing with the PS4... oh well.. never mind...
Not, really read the quote, I think the guy who wrote the article did not understand what he transcribed...
The SNES was a pixel pushing monster when it was released back in 1991, mode 7 did tricks that were unthinkable on home consoles at the time, all at very good frame rates... I can still recall how f-zero impressed me! The semi transparent objects were a big deal too...
However, the snes had a very weak CPU, games had horrible slowdowns, especially the early titles that did not benefit from extra chips, games like final fight do not show many enemies on the screen compared to ...
You know there is something wrong when you see people being shocked that a reporter says things that some company's PR team disapproves of....
Not that you should see the stuff they send in the preview material or the early copies provided for review should be shown before the intended time (it would just not be fair) but if some artist or programmer tell you about game x or y before it's time... I think it's fair game to "leak" the information... Howeve...
How come CrackDown 3 and Scalebound are not in there? and neither is Quantum Break btw !!! Nobody cares for any of these games on your list!
The ps4 version will be like a remaster too, with better aa and frame rate ;-)
Premium all in one entertainment system owner to the rescue!
We know that the game was first teased by square for all major platforms including the ps4.... Ms paid for them to delay it on the non Xbox systems, pure and simple... Then when they re-announced rise of the thomb raider they tried to make everybody believe it was a true exclusive!... Sneaky bastards!
You can think what you will of the game, dealings around it are shady at best.
I would like to be able to play my PS1 games again (I have a couple of disks waiting to be used once more)!
But I'd accept some PSX classics for PS1 & 2 like Nintendo does with the VC (hopefully a better implementation).. assuming the prices make sense.
The stuff I would not mind being normal for single player games are extra "levels" or chapters like what ND did for the Last of Us or the Infamous:Firt Light add on for Second Son, amazing add on content and I was happy to be able to play it, The same could probably be said of BloodBorne Old Hunters.. etc.
I find what seems to go in the Multi-Player games shameful nickel and dimming and it breaks the level playing ground, it's almost like some hockey goalies wou...
Amazing bundle, I wish it was available at launch!
I think that releasing Star Sarty Battlefront with only 6 maps is nickel and diming ... micro transaction or not... it should be f2p at this level of content and they could make money off of map packs and cosmetic add ons... oh well...
Without a campaign (a real one, not like a modern cod or battlefield campaign) it was just not even truly considered by me to begin with... The lukewarm reviews only make it easier to ignore :-)
Oh oh the PR disaster is beginning... people will try games that are not on the list...
Here is the low down according to Wikipedia:
There are currently 1,162 games (multiplatform: 959; exclusive: 112; console exclusive: 73) on this list as of October 15, 2015.
1 162 games, less than 10% are supported!.. calling the machine backward compatible is misleading at best...
Another US = the world "analysis"?
Don't these people know they are on Internet?
Well yeah, or you can stand up... Imthink "walking" vr is more for people who intend to have a quite big room dedicated to it? You need to either send the images to the vr goggles wirelessly or carry the whole thing on you (computer, phone, console, etc.) for now it seems like it would be more sacrifices than benefits.... We shall see how it turns out!
@Septic you just demonstrated why it is a useless device, they could replace it with a built in microphone and you could switch on the tv with your voice to fell like you are in the future! Amazing!
Cutting to 30 fps from 60 cuts the work by half for all components since the system as a whole has 33ms to render each images...
Cutting only the resolution to 900p only reduces the workload of the gpu (and memory bandwidth for it) by around 40% I cant be bothered to look up the exact number... But anyway, sometimes this is not enough for the db1 to keep a frame rate as steady as the ps4 ..
