Quote from article regarding if LA Noire will make it to PC: "Rockstar tends to release PC ports of nearly all of its console games at some point although sometimes it takes as much as two years for that to happen. So put a LA Noire PC version in the "possibly one day" category."
If this is the case, I'd really like to see Red Dead Redemption make it to PC. Loved it on the console and think it would be great on the PC. Just imagine the mods that could ...
Some good choices among all the platforms. Actually, quite a good list and I can't really argue with any of the picks. Thank you WorthPlaying.
Glad I own a gaming PC and a PS3. I'm mostly a PC gamer, but I bought a PS3 to have a console "sidekick" and I believe it has the best and most varied exclusives. In my opinion, the PC and PS3 make an incredible gaming combo.
I can't really argue with this list. Battlefield Bad Company 2 was shooter of the year and Red Dead Redemption was overall game of the year. Also, good choices for the 360 (Mass Effect 2) and PS3 (God of War 3). Pretty good list for once; must be because its "The People's Choice".
Yet another list where BF3 isn't in there. C'mon, it's a list of 30 games and you couldn't squeeze it in there? BF3 is going to be epic and sell like gangbusters. I've really noticed a trend of gaming sites selling the BF series short. I mean, Black Ops and Halo Reach are getting most of the Shooter of the Year awards, yet they pass up the superior BFBC2. Then, on all these lists of most anticipated games for 2011, BF3 is almost never mentioned (even though it's been 5...
Ya, except with a list of 20 games, you'd think they could have squeezed BF3 in there. It's going to be epic and sell like gangbusters. I've really noticed a trend of gaming sites selling the BF series short. I mean, Black Ops and Halo Reach are getting most of the Shooter of the Year awards, yet they pass up the superior BFBC2. Then, on all these lists of most anticipated games for 2011, BF3 is almost never mentioned (even though it's been 5 years since BF2 released; I mean, ...
Well, technically, Metro 2033 wasn't a PC exclusive plus I believe BFBC2 was a better shooter for the PC. Also, MAG was a PS3 exclusive so you are wrong on two counts. Must be one of those anti-Sony trolls.
Actually, Steam had BFBC2 for less than $7 for a Xmas sale. And, knowing the milkers that Activision are, there will be more than one $15 mappack. While BFBC2 had free mappacks and an expansion that blows the doors off any COD's mappacks (with only 3 new maps and 2 reworked old maps).
Agree 100%. BFBC2 should have gotten extra points for making a great game across all platforms plus what is probably the best expansion of the year in Vietnam. Really tired of seeing these Shooter of Year awards going to Black Ops and Halo Reach. BFBC2 rocked!
Should have been a "no-brainer". COD games have gotten very predictable and boring. BFBC2 was the best shooter!
The only reason Kinect Adventures is on the list is that its included with the Kinect bundle. If you look at the list, there is only one other Kinect game and that's Kinect Sports at #20 with 700k total sales. Kind of a stretch to say that Kinect is a huge success in Europe. Probably due to them having smaller houses, on average, compared to the US (same goes for Japan).
What I find more interesting with this list is that the PS3 version of Black Ops has sold 500k more th...
I'm really surprised that BF3 didn't make the list, as well. BF3 is going to be epic!
MS has occasionally been known to innovate, but they usually copy or buy the tech. With the Kinect, it was actually both: copied (EyeToy) and bought (PrimeSense) tech.
Well, what do you expect from a Seattle based website. Of course, they are going to go with their homestate company over a Silicon Valley company.
Sure glad to see BFBC2 get the credit it deserves. So tired of seeing COD Blackops and Halo Reach getting the shooter of the year awards. Maybe its because this is a PC-centric site and they have more mature tastes such as myself. For me, BFBC2 is hands down the best shooter of the year and the excellent Vietnam expansion seals the deal.
Very glad to see Road Rash make the list and its one that I'd really love to see return from the grave. However, I believe that they missed an important one in Star Wars Battlefront 3 (or SW BF Online, whatever the title would have been). SWBF 1&2 were great games and we really need to see a new version for this generation. Hopefully, someone will revive it.
A little disappointed that Battlefield 3 didn't make the list as that is my most anticipated PC game of 2011 (DICE promised us that the PC version wouldn't be a "watered-down" console port). Surely, it could have found a spot in a top 10 list.
How could this list forget what was probably the shooter of the year in BF: Bad Company 2? Yet they include some really forgettable games like Army of Two, Lost Planet 2, Crackdown 2 and Kane & Lynch 2? Plus they count the open world game, Just Cause 2 as a shooter, but exclude Red Dead Redemption? Wow, G4TV, I've lost a little respect for you.
Thank you Shackdaddy836. You make some excellent points, especially your first one. I prefer PC gaming, but also own a PS3 and not elitist about it. What I hate are these lists that are deliberately designed and titled to get hits and start flamewars.
@Kevin Butler, I do own a PS3....that's how I was able to play Red Dead Redemption. I was just pointing out that it would be great if it was also out on PC, like most of Rockstar's other games. But, that's why I like owning a gaming PC plus a PS3, so I get the best of both worlds.
