Well, the saying is "there's a sucker born every minute" and MS surely knows how to market to suckers.
If publishers want to go with the subscription model with online multiplayer, they really need to slash the price of the core game. For instance, I could see a great FPS shooter selling for $39 with only a single player campaign with a $5/month subscription for the multiplayer running on dedicated servers. If its a game you truly love, then its like paying to maintain the servers. I could see that as a fair compromise.

It seems to me that the console world and politics are a lot alike. Here in the US, we're all Americans, but once you join a party, its like people of the other party are all of a sudden less American than you. They become the scum of the earth and the cause of all the problems in the world. I see the same kind of thing when people make their choose of a console. All of sudden, the other console owners are all now scumbags. Shouldn't we all be gamers first?
@Zuhk, isn't Hulu Plus streamed at 720p? They really should advertise that part more. I watch the regular Hulu on my PC (hooked up to LCD HDTV) and its never more than 480p. Some shows are even lower.
@Rush, I agree with you about all of the COD's sucking after COD 2. I think the best one was United Offensive and it hasn't been surpassed since.
I think KZ2 and Gears 2 are not a good comparison since they have multiplayer which gives more replay value. A more appropriate comparison would be a single player only game like Alan Wake or Heavy Rain.

I have to agree. The article writer came up with 10 of the lamest reasons to buy a Kinect. It actually made me laugh.
@darkride66, its amazing how you've gotten so many disagrees just for stating the obvious and to just read the article. Its actually a very well thought out and researched article. Fanboys here are truly amazing. Say anything truthful about either console and a flame war breaks out.
@blue7xx7, it has nothing to do with a "cut". These are not revenue figures, they are unit sales figures. I agree with trounbyfire, that it's kind of unusual that 360 has had higher sales since the new "Slim", yet the PS3 is outselling it software wise.
Well, COD 2 wasn't so good on the PC and was a straight console port and the beginning of COD's downward path. I think the best COD game was the expansion to the first game, United Offensive.
@PrimordialSoupBase, I agree. MW2 was very overrated and horrible on the PC: glitches, hacks, no dedicated servers, overpowered perks and killstreaks. So many better games on the PC, like BFBC2, got lower ratings than it, but are so much more fun.
Sony should have just put N/A in those spots about secondary controller, rechargeable battery, and wireless. Then, I would think that the comparisons are fair and hopefully shut up the haters. However, this guy calling them liars is going too far.
The older guy is wiped out after two minutes. How are you supposed to be able to stand and play all of these shovelware games for prolonged periods of time? Kinect is a joke.
@Bigpappy, I didn't mention a thing about the Move. Don't plan on buying that either since I'm a PC gamer first and not much into the motion controller thing. Its just that, from my perspective, the Kinect looks like a total fail. Also, as far as "most are disputable", I have links to several articles that prove otherwise.

@Lou-Cipher, I would also love to see both those strategy games on the PS3 with Move support. Graphically, I don't think either would be too intense for the PS3 to handle. From what I've read, SC2 is only running at dx9c which is just about where the PS3/360 are running. Civ 5 is turn-based, so it shouldn't be too much either and they've already done Civ Rev for the consoles.
Me, too. I don't have a single Activision game right now, but have a ton of EA ones.
