@plbelanger, as do I. I became a convert in 2002 when a friend introduced me to BF1942 and 64 player matches. I've been primarily a PC gamer ever since. However, I do own a PS3 as a "sidekick" so I don't miss out on console exclusives. Just wish some of them would come over to the PC with better graphics and possibly mods (like Red Dead Redemption would be great on PC).

Great article and, as a fellow PC gamer, I agree with all the points the author has made. BF series have always been my preferred FPS. I liked the original COD and especially it's expansion, United Offensive. UO had large maps, some even with vehicles and had a total different feel than today's COD games (maybe because it was a PC exclusive). WHY? Shooters on the Kinect are pointless and a waste of time. Why even try? And, of course, it's another "on-rails" shooter at that. Please. Shooters are best with a KB/M or controller and don't work well for a camera based gaming system. Gesture gaming is just too laggy and not a good fit for shooters. Kinect should stick with what its good at and not be forced in to areas where it will fail.
That's one of the problems with COD....it looks the same on all platforms. I'm a PC gamer and I want my games to look better than on consoles. The same with higher player counts. COD has been getting lower and lower player counts....down to only 18 now, even on PC. DICE is putting the effort to make sure the PC version of BF3 really shines. I know which one I'll be buying.
@awiseman, then why did he need to call people who don't like COD, trolls? Most of the trolls I see happen to have one bubble. Not all, most. Maybe you are not, nor him. However, the wording of his post suggest to me that he is one. I just find it ironic when "one bubblers" accuse others of being trolls.
@Persistantthug, I said a decent RTS, let alone a good one. Even an older title, like Company of Heroes (2007), just wouldn't be possible for either of the HD consoles. It took a great PC to run in its day and still takes a decent one today. How about a 16 player matches of World in Conflict (another older RTS title)? I don't think they'd handle it. On MMO's, again, I was referring to decent ones. Or how about some good free to play ones? How about 64 player BF3 on the console...

@ProA007 and Sillyace92, you don't see the difference? Where was any playable sections where the player was actually in control? You know gameplay footage. There wasn't any. Compare that to the BF3 trailers where almost the entire thing is made of actual gameplay footage. These MW3 trailers look like all in-game cutscenes.
BF3's actual gameplay trailers look better than these cutscenes, oops, I mean "in-game" footage from MW3. Even the MW3 logo looks cheesy.

I'll put you this way. BF3 is must buy, day one purchase for me. MW3 just has too many question marks. I may get it, but I need to have my doubts erased before I do. The author points out a lot of the same misgivings that I have about MW3.
In my view, Battlefield has already beaten COD. I thought BFBC2 was a better game than either MW2 or Black Ops. No doubt in my mind that BF3 will be better than MW3.
