From the little I know of him and have seen of Nadella, I like the guy a thousand times more than Ballmer, and he has a successful track record, but honestly those tweets mean nothing. What is Phil Spencer gonna do, go on twitter and say, "yeah guys, I think XBox One has two, maybe three years tops left before we sell it off. Sorry guys, now go buy an Xbox!".
"I think he was put in charge as a way of fighting back against the claims made by Bloomberg of wanting to sell x box. "... by putting the guy who said he would get rid of xbox if he were CEO in charge of their hardware division...
That outta show 'em!
Square shitting all over Mana, as usual. I've never understood why they don't take this franchise seriously. Original Secret of Mana was to me was Legend of Zelda for SNES seemed to be to almost everyone else.
I think people are bitching because we're enjoying watching MS nosedive, and we don't want to see any more good devs on board upon impact, or god forbid, helping them pull the nose up before the fireworks.
Nothing to worry about on that front. MS doesn't like/listen to gamedevs.
If they do end up at MS, I'm sure they'll use their talents used to the fullest like they did with Rare.
yeah, trying to sue the indie whose game you ripped off to make zillions. Doesn't get any lower than that.
There's nothing crazy or fanatical about my stance. I'm in the industry by trade, and I've loved games from my earliest memories. I know alot of people think this is a ps4 fanboy thing, but I don't own either next gen console yet.
It's purely my observance of the way gaming has shifted for the worse due to policies from companies like MS and EA. It's a constant attack on our hobby. MS and EA fans love to defend them, "but they're a business...
@Dlacy13g,
even better. that means he doesn't have to take his job security into account if he wants to shut down XBox division.
Yeah, the guy who has so little interest in games, he wanted to cut out XBox division is a perfect fit to run XBox division. Fits right in with all the other XBox execs who hate games and gamers.
They love putting people who know/care nothing about games in charge of XBox division. I know all the XBots are shareholders, and so any potential success he might have financially trumps his indifference to gamers.
I'm actually nervously excited about the news myself. http://www.geek.com/games/s...
Hopefully he'll ...

Trust has to be earned, or at least not abused. Look up EA DRM on google, and see how many countless times EA has screwed over their customers with this type of BS.
Anyone who thinks EA should get the benefit of the doubt, either isn't aware of their history, or is an absolute moron.
The reason why people get pissed about this stuff is here, and notice this is also EA:
Just read the section about the release of SimCity, famous for screwing over paying customers, all of whom had working internet connections, and had agreed to accept their DRM BS:

One of many such examples like this from EA. They proven time ...
@AusRogo, having more exclusives with crappy policies that screw the customer isn't a good thing. The fact that this has been done before makes it even worse.
Dunno. I wouldn't say 'doing fine'. Nintendo's out there issuing public apologies for their poor wii-u sales, and they were barely behind XBox One last week.
One of my all-time favorite games and game soundtracks. Played through the whole game 2 player. Unforgettable adventure.
You're right. Kinect shovelware saturated 1st party library. Its their exclusive library that's fps saturated.
I feel bad for cynical MS fans who don't realize that anything better is out there. The industry is just dark clouds as far as they can see. It's very typical of people who've been exclusively in long term abusive relationships to not believe they can find or that they deserve anything better. You just have to break free, and look around. You might be surprised at how much happiness you can find. You can do it. We believe in you. You're stronger than you think.
Now contrast this, and MS's pisspoor fps saturated 1st party library, with this:

MS investors don't care for XBox division, much like their board members. It makes them little to no money compared to everything else MS does, except Bing. Bing is an amazing failure.
