makes perfect sense. you can use it with anything:
good movie - tickets sold out
therefore tickets to a bad movie is a better deal
wow, with such an idiotic title, it's admirable the stupidity in the 'article' didn't disappoint
[/sarcasm]
This is stupid. Iwata seems like a nice enough guy, but that letter was cringeworthy. If I were an investor that wasn't planning to pull my stock, this would have convinced me. The letter is basically, we've changed from playing cards to toys before, so don't worry about our failure, we have a vague plan in store to divide our focus even further than we already have, even though we haven't been able to properly support our main thing
even crappy evil MS took a long time to finally push Ballmer out the door. Probably a loyalty thing, and maybe his own stubbornness to step down.
Biggest surprise ever would be making xbox live free, or any other move that isn't greedy anti-gamer bullshit
damn it, when I saw neurogaming, was hoping to see something about a gaming initiative for the Emotiv headset
yeah, I think people who are mean about it can go f themselves. Seems like a good man, but it really does seem unhealthy. Whether he gives 2 poops or not won't stop the cardiac arrest
But they're a corporation, they're in it to make money, of course they have to have shit policies, of course they're gonna fuck over teh consumer any chance they get.
gabe, you're doing it wrong
Some companies have earned my trust by spoiling their customers with awesome. I'm not devoted to them, but I like those companies, and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt if I'm on the fence about something.
Some companies have earned my hatred through their evil stupidity. I am devoted to tearing them down one comment at a time in unison with an army of like-minded individuals who refuse to let even one more line of bullshit slide.
Japan's gaming culture is even more free from the corporate apologist nonsense that could've helped xbox thrive here. They'll sniff out their fake gamer pander talk before they've even released an ad.
Phil Spencer is the new Peter Molyneux
You caught that cold bug that's been going around, too?
But you're right, the only way this will work, is if it's like PS now.
This sounds more like 'the power of the cloud', and more like 'the weakness of the xbox one'
I thought they learned their lesson about lying. I mean real-time raytracing in the cloud? Doesn't even make sense, so then the XBox One isn't even a console at that point, it's just going to be like OnLive, offloading the games to a real machine, in which case, the ouya, or a $200 laptop could do the same thing. If they mean cloud computing could 'help' the xbox with raytracing, while some of the visuals are still processed locally, then maybe this could work over a go...
Microsoft is concerned because GCHQ didn't go through the official spying channels MS had custom built for them.
"We are very concerned GCHQ has found a way to spy on our customers without having to pay us."
yeah, I played through Secret of Mana the whole way through with one of my friends in high school. One of my favorite gaming experiences ever.
The author is too optimistic. Square has been ruining this franchise for years even without using the mobile microtransaction thing. That being said, what a shame. This could have been an awesome game for psn(3 or 4)/vita/wii-u/3ds. Trailer looks awesome and still has that action fighting. Looks more like a real mana game than anything else they've done since SNES.
I agree. Even it did obliterate the sales potential profitwise, as stuna1 says, they need to increase the install base of the XB1 much more than they need TitanFall buyers, and I imagine EA got a ridiculously good deal out of it.
One spin I've already seen, that has that unique flavor of xbot denial(so will probably catch on" is:
"That was if he was CEO of MS, but he's just in charge of the hardware division, not CEO",
which I guess the unspoken conclusion to that logic is:
"therefore now he'll fall in love with games and completely change his mind on that strategic direction."
He's in charge of hardware, not XBox. That means if he b...
more like 'better deal with it', amirite?
