Critics are looking at the whole package, where as most fans just say "it's the CoD experience on the go and has fantastic multiplayer". I really think this is just a hard game to review, since you can EASILY make a case for it being good or bad.

Unless you're counting Master Gee as part of Scarletts length, then I don't see how it's shorter. I was able to do Scarlett in maybe 4 hours (not including Master Gee) and Torgue took me about 6. To each their own, but I still think Scarlett is shorter if you ignore Master Gee.

I wouldn't be shocked if they picked that version for a different reason. Like perhaps it cost less to use the newer version, since they were getting free marketing from All-Stars or simply because the new version is what people are talking about.
Heres the thing, there is a lot of conflicting information. While I agree that Superbot doesn't deserve all the blame they're getting, we also don't know what they tried to do or how much effort was applied. While you're right about it not charging from the WIi U, it comes with a power cord so you can charge it via the wall socket (pretty long cord, though I also have a small room). If this is such a problem for you, you can always purchase the DX or cradle, which is just drop and charge. Sure it's not insanely long, but the average gamer doesn't have 3 - 5 hours to drop on gaming rotunely enough to really make it bad. The problem with the Author and this article is that they interjected their opinion. Is this news? Well I think plenty of people would love to know there is a deal, but they don't do that. I disagree and agree at the same time.
Yes some characters are a "waste", but it really boils down to how and what you're trying to do. I've seen a few teams use big daddy to stun people in place and then finish them with someone like Parappa. Sure it's cheap / less than desirable, but it definitely shows there IS a use for him.
