To be fair, they're not. A lot of money goes into these games and a lot of them sell quite poorly rewarding the developers (if they deserve it or not is subjective, but lets assume they're good) very little profit. Sure more people will buy at a lower price point, but the important thing here is if they will break even going lower.

In the end, if you don't like the price, look for deals. These aren't especially hard to find, Kmart / Bestbuy / Amazon offer cas...

Such an awful article. While I do agree with your point, you miss the point of trophies / achievements by a wide margin.

The point of trophies isn't to have the pokemon dynamic of "gotta catch them all", then quit, but to have proof you did such a task. Plenty of games no matter the age are filled with losers claiming to do this and that. You can't tell me you haven't met a gamer that claimed the ending of ____ sucked, such and such was "too easy&q...

While having a story is usually a plus, not every game needs a story, thus it's only an issue when it needs to be one.

Take Spelunker, it's a simple game about a spelunker in a cave. Sure odd stuff happens to him, but do you really need a story about how aliens came to Earth to create creatures, which resulted in these series of odd caves and the creation of the human race? (thats pretty much what the mural you could form / true ending implies) If you ask me, a story...

There was also Killzone Trilogy, Littlebigplanet Vita (no matter what they say, it was still early) and most likely more. However, this happens every year, but the important thing is that they're extremely rare, isolated cases.

Wow, could you be more mistaken?

Demo is short for demonstration, which is meant to show off what the game can do. Obviously things change between demo creation and the final product, but this is our first REAL impression of the game. If the demo is demonstrating a glitchy mess, how does that NOT reflect on the main product? It turns people off, writing on the wall, plenty of other examples.

With this being said, I have faith Platinum Games will come through...

The tablet is always going to be worse choice, since they constantly upgrade the hardware for better software. It's gotten better over time, but the Nexus will most likely drop before the Vita drops, will be out of date before the Vita is and isn't a gaming device (if thats what your son is looking for).

With this being said, Ragnarok was a LAUNCH title in Japan, so we already know it didn't make a difference. Considering it's an XSeed title in the US, it most...

I never understood this mentality. On one hand I can certainly understand having more numbers would affect lead to an increasingly more accurate score, but I never understood how doubling the numbers vastly changes the meaning.

4/5 = good score
8/10 = good score
80 / 100 = good score

In the end, a good reviewer should be able to consider the metacritic system and give scores accordingly. On a scale of 5, every .5 is worth a single point and I ...

When a company give a "play time" or anyone really, they generally list how long it will take to do everything. It's not like the campaign / missions are 40, then you spend another 10 hours wondering around, it's more like you spend 30 on missions and 10 on exploration.

Shit happens.

I imported it in March for the hefty price of 100 dollars, simply because I had no faith in it coming stateside (like Saint Seiya Senki). Not only did I miss out on saving 50%, I missed out on saving 70% + the progress to 100 this month. However, you don't see me complaining. These are all risks in the end, if anything, this shows that the game is tanking and is absolutely desperate for sales.

I am a big fan of Musou games and One Piece, but found it lacking.

A good percent of the story is missing, which include longer arcs like Skypiea and Thriller Bark. The story is pretty short, roughly 6 hours. Many side characters (like Shanks / Smoker) have no real role in the game. The post game is pretty poor, with very little to do next to other Musou games. Has one of the smallest rosters I've seen in a musou game (13) and the alternate logs are a joke (basically just...

What a stupid article. Sure 40 hours is enough, but how many times do these play times actually happen? Capcom said Biohazard 6 was 50 hours... did anyone spend even 20 on it? There are plenty of other examples, but in the end, I doubt this game will be 40. (probably 20)

I have one and it's not required. You can buy a month to get Super Stardust Delta for free a month later (they cost the same, so it's not a bad deal), but thats about it. The only real difference is a sim card slot, so its a great deal.

I like that people agree with you. Not only because your only "proof" is a post where you defend the site and yet you call it "pages" with only 1 piece of proof. So before you call me out, come up with these so called pages, cause if you ask me... it just looks like you've been waiting months to one up me.

As far as my remark, that was the only redeeming quality I saw in the game. I didn't start listing reasons why other sites were wrong or anythi...

You got to transfer install data to the PSP / Vita to install them on your system. For that reason alone, the choice makes sense.

Either or, you can select turn off button in the xmb and set your ps3 to install this stuff while you sleep or do something else. Really stupid complaint in the end.

I am glad someone else didn't love it just because it's different... seriously, new things should be welcomed, but they should also be good like Patapon.

You can't review something and leave your opinion out. No matter what game you play, there will always be things that affect your review even when listing "facts".

For something to be a fact, it would need to be universally true. Most things are opinions based off facts, so I thought Orgarhythm was too complex to be fun. Others might actually like it. In either case, how you simply explain something shows a lean.

Everything you listed (except fr...

Decent point, but I disagree with a lot of it. I think a LOT of people forget that reviewers go into every game with an objective. By this I don't mean personality, but how they want to go about the review. Lets look at Biohazard 6.

If you look at it from a "how it works" mindset, it should score pretty high.
If you look at it from a "fans point of view" mindset, it will score low because it's not the game you use to love.
If you lo...
