If they could get anyone... Jack Frost makes the most sense. He's the mascot, an enemy in a number of games, more of an icon than Yu and could have an alternate color way as Black Frost with Pyro Jack as a DLC costume.

Your guess is as good as anyone elses...

They could cost money.
They could cost less money.
They could cost more money.
They could be free for a period of time.
They could promotional to plus (free that is, not unique to plus).
There is even a chance this is the only DLC pack.

In the end, we're all guessing and as far as we know... this is the only confirmed DLC pack. Most likely won't be the last one, but for n...

DLC was always going to get out of hand at some point, since it was an easy way for companies to make money on a hit or resale a greatest hits version, with us bank rolling the content. Also many people protested it (plus it rarely sells that well in relation to the main game), so yeah...

Also locked saves have existed for a while (Demon Souls / Street Fighter 4 / being the earliest I recall), but were mostly abandoned over time and even Playstation Plus offered a way aroun...

While this is certainly true, a lot of elements are definitely untrue too. Plenty of people went into Biohazard 6 hating the game... several people noticed it yet again wasn't survival horror (go figure...), many were turned off by some of the design choices and others weren't a fan of the story. The only people who thought it was going to be good, were the people that liked the new direction of Biohazard 6 or went in expecting Operation Raccoon City.

The simple fac...

This is really a problem with circular logic and entitlement.

On one hand, a lot of people have grown cynical of what reviewers have to say. This basically means a lot of reviews will be ignored for this claim, since thats how people typically view sports games. Same game, different year. Also reviews shouldn't be fighting to change the industry by making large stands against practices they don't agree with, since thats not actually reviewing... thats editorializing....

A lot of people have been saying things on both sides of the matter.

Some people act like the PS4 will INSTANTLY fail because Sony is 100% going to use it and others suspect this is just 1 of many patented things they probably won't ever implement. I wouldn't exactly say it's refreshing (hence the disagrees), but I would say I agree with their message.

As far as the topic...

I am quite mixed. I think Sony knows this would be suic...

@ harrisk954

Rarity, out of print, older, things of this nature...? A lot of games have really small production runs and become extremely hard to find / rare with no signs of a reprint. Prior to Neptunia getting a reprint (I think it got one...), a used copy sold for 60+ dollars on ebay. If games have a low production run / sell out in a retail store and don't go digital... resale is the only way to ever play them. (past piracy, though even thats not 100%)

Wow... I really have no idea how to reply to this, because you clearly have no concept of how marketing works or even branding, so you run your mouth like you know whats going on, but I got news... you don't.

Since you want to look at things "another way", you're not using ANY logic in your approach. First off you assume the PS4 will be cheap enough to make and bundle with a Vita for $400, when a PS3 and Vita would likely cost you over $400 alone. Also no ma...

$400 IS far too low and the Wii U is "proof" of that.

While we obviously don't know the actual to make a Vita or Wii U, I can go off how much MSRP is. In the case of the WIi U gamepad, thats roughly $160 dollars in Japan, where as the Vita currently costs $250 in the US (far more in Japan). When you consider most people think the Wii U is "on par" with current generation consoles, it is impossible to fathom how anyone thinks both of them combined woul...

You're jumping leaps and bounds with the online pass, since the two issues are fairly separate.

On one hand online passes were hated more for the questionable nature of them, than actually restricting online content. Many were more concern about multiple users in the house, what would happen if you switch accounts and things of this nature. The real turning point was Batman Arkham City (which was when a really popular game got one), since it used an online pass to lock o...

Wow... someone sure missed the point.

Why were achievements introduced in the first place? Instant company loyalty (If I switch to the next xbox, I lose 7,000 trophies... so I am more likely to be with Sony till they die / I find another reason to switch.), motivates you to play more, something most people have always wanted (People use to be able to claim whatever and we had to accept it as true. WIth achievements / trophies i can flat out see it and thus instantly discredit...

Doubt it.

A lot of people forget that many consider the ability to resell a game (didn't like it, lack of time, got it for free with PS Plus, platinumed / won't ever play) as part of the games value. Even if I save $20 dollars on the current MSRP (not that hard with all the deals going around now...), I will be less incline to try a weird game as I will be accepting more risk. I think this will be true for many people and will cause more problems than the actual act o...

There is absolutely no rational way to explain how this is or will be a "good thing".

You see, the quality of games will not rise from this choice, so I fail to see why they deserve more money for the same (or lower) quality games in the long run. Companies should be FIGHTING to make sure people justify buying the game new on day 1. If your game is good enough, then people will pick it up without even questioning it. Like when Borderlands 2 was announced, I preorde...

I don't know many people that write long winded posts in defense of something, without actually believing what they're saying. If they wanted to merely suggest the possibility, then they would do so in a single paragraph, since these aren't impossible to believe concepts. Here watch how simple it can be...

While there are some good examples out there, they're vastly outweighed by all the bad ones. Also most people seem to agree that Uncharted 3 is a weaker game than Uncharted 2 in terms of story and gameplay, which many attribute to an increased focus on Multiplayer.

I don't know where you're looking, but the general reaction seems to be mixed. Most opinions seem to be 1 of the following...

1) Not exactly a fan of the combat and felt the game was rather lacking in content or could have done many things better.
2) Loved the combat (or thought it was great for a first attempt) and writes off most of the other problems as them "focusing on what matters".
3) A very small and very vocal (esp Smash on N4G) gro...

I sincerely doubt the next Xbox will start with the same installment program the current Xbox has, since they most likely wouldn't sell.

This is completely due to the slow start up and uncertain nature of a new console. By simply taking a look at the 3DS, Vita or Wii U, you can see that there weren't a ton of amazing titles and new releases were far and few between. Since most people know / expect this (not to mention we will see the doom / gloom articles if the next ...

Neo Geo X is the new and over priced console that just released. Since the system only contains a few classics and no news on what future games will cost or even if there will be future games for that matter, it's only logical that fans would try to hack it for a fuller experience.
