What is so strange about that? There are something like 39 characters in Arcade Edition, so another 5 would push that total to 44. Since fighting games are all about balance, there is a lot more to do than "simply" designing and adding 5 characters to the game. They need to make sure things are fair, implement or change how some things work and update the whole roster so these new characters don't ruin things.

While I can sort of understand the confusion, AAA only refers to the games actual cost. The only reason why AAA titles seem that way is the fact that they generally have a lot of money for marketing and due to that a lot more people know / talk about them.

I'm not really sure it's a problem per se. On one hand it could be a problem developing for the system its self (the company seems to have zero experience with Nintendo) and on the other hand, it could be one of those "we choose to make it a problem" problem. By that I mean they're trying to do something with the second screen (like an item select, which would be amazing!) or they're trying to come up with something to do in general (we had some articles a while back...

What kind of question is that? It can obviously go on forever, but it's impossible to say if designs will continue to fall or improve in the future.

Not like "pro" gamers being considered athletes is that different than bowlers having the same title.

While it might be more complex than we might think, that doesn't mean it is super complex either.

For instance take the sex line phone numbers. They could have avoided that WHOLE SITUATION by simply calling the numbers before including them in the game. Would have took, what? 2 minutes to verify they weren't real numbers, yet they didn't.

The person did not pay $9,000 dollars per se, they just so happened to have an item worth $9,000 dollars. This is because the in game currency has a real world equivalency value. With that being said, it's entirely possible that their loss might have been far greater, since they lost a LOT of time invested.

Either or, losing a ship worth $9,000 dollars sounds better than "Player loses one of the rarest ships in the game"

The satisfaction of ruining someones day, week, month, year, whole experience on the game? You lose something like that and you're bound to be sad.

I believe xxPillsxx is right, though it's not like it makes a difference. Two awful games, from one lackluster developer. Maybe if someone good screwed it up, but that is not the case here.

I agree that the game isn't a perfect score or even a 9, but scores aren't the deciding factor in whither or not you buy / play something. They're just an indicator of how well rounded the game actually is. In any case, I still think all Vita users should play this game.

As far as gameplay goes, I think you're a bit mistaken. When it comes to games like this we tend to see people seeing the simple mechanics and assuming that is ...

Every argument has two sides and ultimately I like the Plus free side more. Sure you need to pay to keep your collection ($50 a year isn't much and as you continue with plus, the overall cost is outweighed by what you have and can expect), but Plus basically offers people a chance to play something unique with no risk involved.

Like a while back Vanquish released and no one cared. Over time it dropped in price and ultimately went OoP. This resulted in a lot of people mis...

The Japanese plus stuff is a little misleading, since Japan only recently added all those older games. Prior to the IGC, Japan was getting terrible offers / freebies and the IGC only picked up recently. Finally, I believe the push was to finally establish Plus in Japan, so they gave a bunch of older games (that work on portable systems, which do well there) and had hopes it would work out.

If this had been 3 months ago, then none of those PS1 games would have been listed.

To be fair, no matter how many people agree that TLoU is perfect, it will never be a fact. RIP_Cell could literally list any game as better than TLoU and be right, since it would be his or her opinion.

With that being said, TLoU is way over-rated at the moment. The more high review scores, "once in a generation" comments and praise for whatever else it does right, will only force the game to live up to ever higher expectations.

I know I am going to get a LOT of disagrees for this, but GOTY tends to have more to do with things beyond the scope of good or unique gameplay.

Take The Walking Dead, which won a bunch of GOTY awards last year. The game its self was a point and click, but the story was "so amazing" that it kept winning awards / praise. This really isn't that surprising, since I've seen a number of people act like these elements outweigh gameplay. One of my favorites was a ...

Forced Co Op Play:

One could argue the exact opposite and have an equally valid point. It's entirely possible the game was always intended to be Single Player, but at some point EA demanded Co Op (for the $$$!!), so they just tossed in some co op elements.

Weak Marketing Campaign

Many would argue that the "your mom will hate this" campaign was awful and in some cases actually made the game look worse. There were a few articles a...

"Before Injustice: Gods Among Us released, comic nerds always argued about which super hero could defeat another super hero one-on-one and they finally had some answers. "

Injustice wasn't the first game like that, there was obviously Mortal Kombat vs DC universe, Marvel vs Capcom series, Marvel Super Heroes and even before that there was Justice League Task Force (for the Sega Genesis) ...

While it would be cool to see a game save (though this is being a bit extreme, since the more games it gets, the more likely someone is going to hit their breaking point. Especially with PlayStation Plus offering so many for "free") a system, it simply won't happen. This article, like plenty more before it, will name games that have potential, but might not live up to said potential in the end.

Ragnarok Odyssey was touted as the "Monster Hunter clone"...

To be fair, the Vita got a price cut in Japan on Feb 28th and Soul Sacrifice released on March 7th, so I think it's safe to assume the price drop played a big role in the sales back then. Can't say anything for Toukiden, but it probably just won over some of the Monster Hunter fans waiting to upgrade, but hadn't at that point.
