The problem with bundling the Vita is the fact that it implies it's nothing more than a tacky add on for the PS4. They're two different sets of hardware that were designed to do two different jobs and just so happen to have a few unique features (same with several other Sony products).

Anyway, logically speaking it becomes a question of how many "pieces" would Sony actually need to bundle to make the bundle actually feasible. Like even if you got a PlayStat...

No doubt, but they could come up with a better reason (be this the real reason or not). Like if they simply said they choose to focus more on balance and make this the best SSB ever, people would probably be okay with it. Saying people uploading stuff ruins aspects... well that's just stupid.

Tournaments are important for fighting games, but catering to that demographic would greatly damage SSB. The game is designed to be a party fighter, which means it doesn't have as much balance and is designed to be a little more "unpredictable" in the sense that skill won't always beat luck. This is the same sort of logic you see in Mario Kart, as you could be in first with a huge lead, but still ultimately lose because of a well timed blue shell.

The Vita version is said to have unique content (much like the Wii U), though that was never and will never be an excuse to gouge the consumer. I also think it's an error or Ubisoft is literally hellbent on making this game fail...

Delayed, Delayed, Multiplatform and delayed, Preorders announced with the WIi U getting the least logical costume (based off the Vita version of AC), Vita announced to have other unique content (so now it seems to be fairly segmented) and now a...

@ Family Guy

Review copies include a digital copy of the PS3 version, so there seems to be a digital bundle of some kind and the data is already on the store regardless.

Yes, but worldwidegaming's point was that they're charging $80+ dollars for the PS3 and PSV (not combined mind you, each separately) version in Japan. To put it another way, you're practically paying so much more that I can buy both versions in the US for as much as you're buying 1 version in Japan. When you look at it this way it's absurd, but when you consider Japanese MSRP is higher anyway, it isn't as absurd.

4732d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

While that is high for a Japanese game in general, they do happen to have higher MSRP than the US / EU for whatever reason. Games like Persona 4 the Golden / Hatsune Miku are $70+, where as Sumioni (the game people complained isn't worth $15) had a MSRP originally at roughly $53 dollars (more than any US Vita game period). I don't have time to go through a list to see if it's still the highest price Vita game, but most of them seem to be in the 6,000 - 8,000 yen range, though Drag...

"Its funny how people compare it to Smash Brothers and then dont, saying its own complete game. "

The only funny thing is how quickly people lump together two contrasting opinions.

Some people think the game is a carbon copy of Super Smash Bros, because the HUD is somewhat similar, the concept is exactly the same (though cross over fighter is FAR from original, nor did it even start with SSB) and a lot of the concepts mirror what was seen there. An...

I wouldn't call it a benefit, but it has to do with Publisher agreements. Like if Atlus owns the license to publish Demon Souls in the US, then buying an Asian or Japanese copy would result in them losing a sale in their market and give Sony a sale in theirs. This also works for "hot ticket" import items like anime games, which result in a lot of hardcore fans importing the thing before we find out when or if a company is going to bother publishing it and the ability to do so ma...

Region Coding is actually fairly simple when compared to other fixes. All they need to do is set the firmware so it will accept NTSC/J and PAL codes. That's literally it (though regional OS's might cause problems) and coincidentally enough how modchips / piracy hacks typically work (They simply trick the system into thinking it has an accepted code and the drive in turn reads it).

Think that is silly? I always laugh at how Japanese games (or every PlayStation one I have) says "For Japan Only" in English. It's like someone decided they should go out of their way to make sure I, the American, knows that I should not have this product.

I would love to see Nintendo remove this, but I just can't see it happening. Not because Nintendo doesn't care or anything, but because of their dated practices. You see Nintendo using regionalized OS's (unlike Sony, which is universal) and they start to run into problems if you update a NTSC/U Wii with a NTSC/J update. Maybe they can fix this down the road, but I am still waiting for them to finally make the account system less of a joke.

"Video sharing"

People aren't talking about it, since a lot of it isn't known. How many developers will block something out and if they do, how long will it last? Picture quality and how that will affect you as a person. If they give you the power to "max out", then a 15 min video of the PS3 usually runs me well over a gig (11 mins of Fuse off my PS3 was 1.07 gb). This could result in a LOT of people being unable to use it or ignoring the feature o...

"If in fact it does allow for me to play my PS4 games on the go, then I dont see a point in purchasing many Vita titles over PS4 titles."

I think you're forgetting that it requires some sort of internet connection to work and I doubt 3G (which doesn't even allow you to play online...) will be enough. I believe this is the main reason the idea was never really supported, since there are only a finite number of situations where you can even use this. Even then...

"That said, why isn't remote play a system level feature on the PS4 that is automatically applied to all games?"

Maybe it is, but it requires some effort to work. I doubt there would be a way to just flip a switch and now every game streams perfectly.

Part of the problem with ALL of the sexist / racist /discrimination topics today, is the fact that they're usually founded by someone going into an experience looking for it.

One game I love to reference is The Saboteur, where you play as a drunk Irishman who does various missions for the French in exchange for liquor (even your main base was a strip club if I recall correctly). Now this could easily be an attack against Irish people if you WANT to look at it like that o...

Nothing dishonest about it, just someone doing their job. That's like going to Mcdonalds and telling the person off for asking if you want fries with that. You're welcome to reject their offer and you're MORE THAN WELCOME to go somewhere else. ...

It's Europe. I don't see why people keep this stuff a secret, since some people might not be aware Spec Ops was offered (didn't stop Sony from giving JSR for the Vita and then PS3 months later) and really there is no excuse for including that simple bit of information.

The ORIGINAL leak was EU was getting it, but it was confirmed false. Going off how accurate the original document was, it was probably in place to be a plus title, but something changed that (someth...

Well if you live in the US, then you're in the clear because this is the European update.

Also while it sucks getting a duplicate game via Plus (some people claim a requirement for US Vita Plus games was me reviewing them, since I reviewed all except like 1 and the cross buy games), you can still make your money back completely with two or three games saved. Also a lot of these games release WELL after their prime and you were probably able to get your moneys worth back ...
