The problem with your logic with Rockman, is that neither game really follows a strict "These characters make sense, so we put them in" logic. Like Snake was in Smash, though he has long since been seen as a PlayStation icon (with several exclusives appearing on Sony platforms and many Solid games not appearing on Nintendo platforms), plus Sonic is probably the absolute least Nintendo thing out there (he was LITERALLY made to counter the popularity of Mario...) and he still made it ...

Pretty much if you say something that goes against what people want, then they will just click disagree. While Capcom has had some questionable DLC practices in the past, they've not all been awful.
Monster Hunter had free missions, E.X. Troopers had free missions and costumes, Lost Planet 2 had free costumes, Street Fighter updates (that add characters and things) are only $15 versus $40 like BlazBlue or extremely over priced like a lot of DLC characters, etc.

I believe you're actually preordering a physical item (the card) that will ship / work like all XBL cards now, but is unique. In either case, any time you "prepay" for a monthly service (like XBLG or Plus), you're pretty much "preordering" (though again, it's tech prepay) the service anyway.
Not like M$ doesn't have cards now that give you a free game or anything. You're pretty much preordering it for a character and special card, which I guess is a plus, but nothing I would be excited over.
Puzzle Fighter II - Fun game, but an "HD" port of a fun game does not deserve must play status. Especially one that could have been a PS1 classic.
Zen Pinball - Digital pinball machines will never be a must play, since they can never match the experience of the real deal.

While you might not care for the "pointless" applications, they're a huge selling point for the system. To buy a simply wifi Bluray player will cost you roughly $100 dollars (assuming you don't find a killer deal and buy someone with well known brand name) and even then I've seen those prove to be quite slow / clunky in actual practice. The Vita just needs cheaper memory cards. As it currently stands, a lot of people here (and really the PSN) have Plus and in turn have a small library of games to play. While the Vita would be fully playable with a 4 GB memory card, the recently offered BlazBlue CSE alone would fill it up (though I am not even 100% you could install it on a 4gb memory card...). 8 GB would be better, but it really gives you no future space and you'll still have to constantly remove games to make room. 16 g...

Regardless of how much profit Sony is making off the PS4 and Vita at their current prices (mind you, this sum could be or quite close to 0 at the start...), I just can't imagine they would bundle $710 dollars worth of stuff for $600, much less $550... though that wouldn't affect the Xbox's price.
The 3G was limited to 20 mb downloads and can't even run Vita games online, so it's most likely worthless. Even then, the plans are pretty pricy...

1) You have to beat the game 6 times on normal, so that is AMPLE time to figure out a way to kill this guy in 2 minutes (or at the least get more powerful help).
2) You can reobtain the talismans and simply refight the boss. If you want to platinum, you'll end up refighting them at least 20+ times, so it's not a big deal.
