This. Nintendo isn't known to have the most creative titles at times.
"how can you want more bang for your buck though? for people who have ps+ this game is free."\
But it is not. The game is only yours for as long as you pay for plus and it is part of the price you pay. Would you pay $50 dollars to have online storage, additional discounts and auto downloads? No. For most people the value is in the IGC, which is what you're paying for and even then you don't own it, just a rental till you stop paying.
"...
"then why are you even subcribed for the instant game collection if you already played every fuc*ing game on the planet? "
Are you really suggesting that people who play the games a lot (and in turn can use some of the other features like cloud storage) should be okay if they own all the offerings for a long expanse of time? I can usually get $50 dollars of worth out of plus, but the vast majority of games I've gotten have been things I didn't want to play a...
But nothing is free... you're paying for a subscription and part of the subscription is a rental to a finite number of games. I agree with your point, but don't trivialize those who want more bang for their buck.
@ Adorie
Hard to say. We could have more companies like Double Fine ( http://www.engadget.com/201... ) abusing it or worthless projects (like the female trope nonsense) getting funded instead of quality games.
Not really. This feature seems to be limited to the "compare" function and seems to have no impact on trophy tracking websites. So for anyone with a large set of trophies (I got 388 lists myself) this is pretty much useless. Maybe it won't work going forward, but I just tried and it did not hide a game I played in the past on a trophy site I use.
With this being said, this is a step in the right direction, though I don't like this could mean for reviewers. I...
Ignoring your obvious Nintendo bias, I think you're misunderstanding some things.
On one hand we have Nintendo consoles, which have historically sold due to Nintendo's fantastic games. Some titles aren't the most ground breaking thing ever (New Super Mario Bros. 2), but most of their games are solid attempts that work in their favor.
On the other hand, you have multiplatform releases where people buy them regardless of quality. CoD isn't goin...
"I agree compared to the 1st year line up for the Xbone and PS4 it is much better."
It's not really fair to compare a system that has been out for several months (a year by the time those come out) to a brand new system. The Wii U launched with maybe two noteworthy titles (Zombi U / Mario U / Nintendoland) and outside of Monster hunter / Pikmin 3, that hasn't really changed in the WHOLE first year. I have a feeling the PS4 / XB1 will have a better first year...
"Frankly I'm surprised by the 9 disagrees. I was just trying to be honest about the situation."
Whys that? The second you said "if people don't have an interest in Mario, Zelda, Sonic, Donkey Kong...", you pretty much said that people that aren't in the demographic won't care. This is pretty much an irrelevant point, since Nintendo can't win these people over anyway, so nothing the Wii U does will ever get them. Just like if you don'...
@ Avidgamerrrr
So? You clearly have had it since before release and if you're going to write a guide that says "everything you need to know", then you should expect people to point out if your guide is lacking.
Like there are two events in the story that can get your throw in jail. The one that automatically happens, and answering B when you have over the scepter (I believe that was the point anyway), which I can also tell you won't unlock ...
I also got it a week early and managed the platinum. I am not saying it is completely without help, but most review sites have had this game for over a week, which is AMPLE time to write a guide like this. Especially if you're going to call it "everything you need to know".
Terrible guide, since very few things are actually explained and what is explained is very useless.
Like I was able to do the end boss at level 52 and get the trophy for hard, so that 71 requirement is silly. Also most people aren't going to play the Amazon class, so you should mention how to get the 100,000 as other classes, which is one of the hardest trophies. No explanations on how to level quickly, just trivial words and pointless videos.
What happ...
Boobs and arcade side scroller awesomeness?
Yes, but it will probably run better / do more (since both systems are far more powerful) and you can unhook your current gen system without a hassle.
"Just because it hasnt happened yet doesnt mean that it won't."
So you state an absolute "Whatever EU gets, the US gets.", but write off the absolute nature with the concept that it can always happen in the future. I am sorry, but at most we usually get what EU gets, though even that is unture. The only thing that actually happens, is that a game given in Europe becomes slightly (maybe 1%) more likely than any other game on the PSN. Simply because it h...
Depends on how you look at it.
If you go from a literal "they said so" stand point, then you're right. However, if you look at it from the early days of plus, then you would see that US and EU were LARGELY the same. The only differences were usually avatars / themes, which the US sometimes got. About the time of the IGC we saw them go vastly different directions.
"Makes more sense than complaining every month no?"
Not at all.
If people complain, then Sony knows that people are less than thrilled with how things currently are. Is Sony listening to use? Well we got a poll (which might just be for show), but they did go back to revealing everything at the start of the month, so I like to believe they're at least listening a little bit.
As far as your solution goes, that sadly makes no sen...
Different games are good for different reasons. Simple as that.
@ richierich
Replace Pokemon with Final Fantasy and you'll have a point. =P
@ Logicwins
"it'll 110% happen now after seeing all the positive reception for it on the Interwebz."
I assume your post is sarcastic, but in the event that it isn't, that stuff is irrelevant. Most of the positive reception is over the $500 dollar price tag. If Sony made a day 1 bundle with a free Vita, then I am sure you would see those being in demand like NO OTHER THING with people canceling their Xbox One's and focusing 100% on the bu...
