Would be nice, but it might be better to keep it as is.
People with the current bundles will probably cancel / it will become a headache if you want it for less, but also want it on day 1. It will also bring into question if it will have a day 1 bundle (not saying people care, but who wouldn't want a special edition for buying it on day 1?) and so forth. Plus having it come with all systems will ensure it has more chances to be useful.
This is part of reviews and quantified opinions in general.
No matter how good a game actually is, there are always points where those opinions change and where you literally stop can have a HUGE impact on your overall impression of the game.
Muramasa 1 cycle with both characters - It's completely possible to beat Muramasa (even get all the endings) without realizing the game is actually fairly deep. You can use cheap items, hide in invincibility frames...
Would have helped, but this is 99.99% due to history. Not only is Yakuza a game that has been exclusive to Sony platforms, but they already released the PS3 version of 1 & 2 months ago. Sure some people will want it, but the core fanbase already has the game and there wasn't any reason to bother with the Wii U port. This money SHOULD have went to localizing the games for the US, since that probably would have done better.
the e3 2012 (maybe 2013) demo didn't have a "song". The store / download demo did though.
"easy work around."
Unless you have a Vita...
@ DiRtY
"Suddenly these indie "designers" (not even developers! I am looking at you Jonathan Blow) come up and want to have influence on the hardware design of the console. Who do they think they are? Their best selling games sell somewhere in the 200k - 500k region for $10 and those are celebrated like oh so successful titles. On the other hand retail releases selling 800k for $60 are called out for lackluster sales. "
According to VGchar...
"every1 will get the bundle ofc no brain"
I'm sorry, but no. If you don't see the value in the extra content, then you aren't going to buy it. Remember, the price tag is STILL a 25% increase from the tier below and you also get taxed that additional amount. Even then, a lot of people would probably buy it thinking "oh I am saving $150 on the Vita and can totally flip it". Due to these people the price will plummet, not to mention people who see...
@ Misaka_x_Touma
Why not? Toukiden is also a multiplatform title, but I much rather play the Vita version than the PSP version. Same with Rayman, since there is unique content.
I would say a lack of marketing, poor PR (like how we were told SR IV was basically a DLC pack turned full game. That's super and all, but it really makes the game sound half ***ed.), people preferring more serious things and most of all, NOT ENOUGH CHEAPY D.
Not really...
There is still Y's, Neptunia (Japan), Valhalla Knights 3, Toukiden (assuming this comes out in December), Rayman Legends (unique content!), Ragnarok Odyssey Ace (Japan), and Batman Blackgate, which many would consider strong releases in this calendar year.
@ No_Limit
Your understanding of the industry is poor at best.
"$30-$40 in today's economy for "on-the-go" gaming don't quite cut it anymore."
And yet Nintendo not only does the same thing, but they also get an impressive amount of sales from it. Such as Animal Crossing New Leaf selling over 5 million copies around the world.
The problem with the Vita is simply awareness and all the negative pres...
@ Kingtrash360
I never said we should trust Patcher, just that he is an analyst and by default giving their opinion is their job. If you read past the first sentence I said he has no understanding of the industry and is little more than a joke...
People on this site need to seriously read more than the first sentence / headline and assume they know exactly where everyone is going with everything.
The bundle won't save it, because it doesn't make sense and is too much of a loss for Sony. You might as well claim a $150 dollar price cut can save the Vita, since that will without a doubt get sales, but that would probably be a bigger hit than the Vita not selling.
The Vita has plenty of exclusives and I would say for the amount of "it's death" bitching we see on this site / others, it's incredible this system that people are counting out is stil...
Well tech Patcher is an analyst, so his opinion should carry more weight than others. However, Patcher has proven countless times that he has no real understanding of this industry and is seen as little more than a joke.
I agree remote play won't save the Vita (I want a Vita to play Vita games and a PS4 to play PS4 games), but the no system has ever started off running. They always have a slump, slow release period and plenty of death articles.
@ Miasmadodo
Way to misunderstand my point completely. My first post was how I felt this was stupid (as seen above yours), where as this post was about how no one is simply killing themselves over being insulted online.
"but the quality of the games really hasn't dropped. "
Now THAT is highly debatable. Take a look at Dead Space 1 and Dead Space 3. The first game was a creepy survival horror (far from the best, but acceptable) genre game, where as the third one was less story / survival and infinitely more action. Not only did the popularity / quality of the game drop significantly over the three (or 4/5 depending on how you view it) titles, the final one had way too many point...
There are people that enjoy every game (yes even people were defending Declassified back in the day) and in no reality is 78/100 or practically an 8/10 or 80 / 100 or B- a terrible score.
I think a LOT of it has to do with people who "live" in these conditions in the first place.
LIke I was a weird / awkward kid, so I got made fun of in elementary school. I was still weird / awkward in middle school, so people continued to make fun of me. In high school I was less awkward and more weird, so people continued to make fun of me. Around the end of HS the PS3 was coming out and as the online world really grew (it wasn't that bad back on the Xbox days,...
Sigh~ Another stupid call to action post.
First things first, Phil Fish seemed to give NO ONE any respect and decided to put himself out in the public. Ironically, a lot of people were sticking up AGAINST his bullying and yet you use him as an example like he was a victim. As far as your women / minorities remark goes, you can honestly find that anywhere else you look. Does that make it right? Of course not. Though this "culture" as you put it probably has a lot to ...
Well MM is a British company, so Gamescom would be the logical place to show off their game. Personally I would welcome a second LBP on the Vita, especially if it was made by MM directly. Either or, I have a feeling it will be good.
