Certainly not surprising news, but great to hear it confirmed. I posted a while back that I was worried they might block (like they did with the free Vita games a while back.) it to try to push launch sales.
@ GreenRanger
Not really. Outside of getting the full size dubstep, it's a bunch of things you can buy / arrange if you had the type of money to blow on this CE in the first place.
Grid 2 is the stupidly over the top CE to buy. The items are at least unique to the game in question.
It's suppose to be a completely ridiculous edition that no one is really meant to buy. The joke being that it's as over the top / absurd as the game in question, though I doubt they would turn someone down for actually throwing down 1,000,000 for it.
The Vita did not drop to $200 per se, just 19,980 yen. Back when it happened the yen was stronger against the dollar, so the price was about $220. Now a days it's still $207 dollars, but slowly getting closer and closer.

What genre isn't represented? Seriously, which one?
There are like 10 sports games.
3+ puzzle games.
5+ fighters.
3+ racers.
2+ light novels.
5+ monster hunter games.
5+ JRPGs.
2+ stealth.
1+ side scroller beat em up.
3+ hack and slash.
5+ platformers.
2+ dynasty warriors games.
1 Katamari.
2+ FPS (weakest genre).
1+ open world.

Most games won't appeal to most people and even then, how many titles do you think it takes to finally have the "appeal". There is already Assassins Creed, a poor attempt at CoD, Resistance (again, poor), Killzone, LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted, PlayStation Plus and countless niche / semipopular games.
So seriously. How much is enough? There is a certain point where you need to accept that Sony is trying things and it isn't working. They just need to lower mem...
People have been complaining about these things for ages and they do it for the views and nothing more.
Not like anyone cares what some guy thinks about a free to play game. Would take the average person less time to merely download and try the game, than read some critics musings on the game.
Is being better than Declassified and Burning Skies an actual feat? It might be the first "great" MP shooter, but in a lot of ways it's also the first Vita shooter than has a chance at being good.
@ JackStraw
But a large part of my post was about how the article doesn't really discuss that or anything. The article is actually calling attention to why they think Plus is a great value by mentioning some features that people might not know about.
It has nothing to do with why Plus is better or worse than Live. In fact, my post mentioned 3 things that are also available on Live and how they're irrelevant.
So why is your comment abo...
No one is blaming the West, nor is Japanizing a thing (at least yet). The problem is that a lot of Japanese companies are retooling what works (Devil May Cry) and making it something they think will do better in the West (DmC). They pretty much turn their back on the original fan base, make a game for those who weren't interested in your game originally and hope that this combo will somehow and for some reason result in both groups buying your game.
What tends to happen i...
I don't see why people are disagreeing with Darren_Poolies. It's a service and you're paying a premium.
Are we going to claim PS Plus isn't one when the PS4 releases because a lot of people will purchase it over online?
Anyway, the article is basically comparing two items and listing three things the other supports as reasons as to why the other is better. I still consider the IGC part valid because M$ is only offering a few games for a very...
@ Bathyj
How many premium gaming services are there anyway? I can think of Xbox Live Gold, PlayStation Plus, but I can't think of another past a Season Pass or CoD Elite.
So do we really need an article discussing why PlayStation Plus is better than Xbox Live Gold and CoD Elite? Not really. Do we need an opinion that probably says the most obvious 5 things? IGC, all consoles (not untrue of XBLG or even unique to the premium gaming service), Cloud saves (...
Because they're completely different?
The Wii U has lower specs, so people expect it to be cheaper, but the gamepad makes that impossible. The gamepad is also not this super high tech gizmo that rivals even the lowest of name brand android tablets on the market (like how the touchscreen is resistive.)
The combo is different because first and foremost you're getting two completely different consoles. Yes the Vita mirrors some of the Wii U gamepads feat...
A lot of people forget that sales numbers don't paint a full picture. Like the game QUICKLY dropped to $40 and hit $20 shortly after that. More than likely most copies sold for around that price, which is something of a flop. If it did better we wouldn't have seen Superbot lose control or DLC randomly canceled.
@ Phil32
Everything isn't as cut and dry as you might think.
A lot of sites bring on the death talk because it sparks conversation and conversation sparks heat and heat means views. What these people think and post are not always 1:1.
A lot of people here just dislike Nintendo's hardware and rather they go multiplatform so they can make more money and we can save more money. I give them some respect for trying new things, but a lot ...
"developer who has yet to release something that actually met its sales target."
How is that their fault? The blame really falls on others, though they could have done better with Bayonetta.
MadWorld was never really marketed and was more of a cool concept than a really awesome game.
Infinite Space lacks any of their usual charms / style.
Bayonetta had a terrible PS3 port (that wasn't even really planned) and never really got mar...
I'm sorry, but you're wrong.
There is nothing that says that Bayonetta 2 will never go multiplatform. It might be an absurdly low odd, but someone could buy the rights from Nintendo and Nintendo could sell them the rights. Might not happen today or tomorrow, but 2 - 4 years from now? Who knows.
Lets not forget that there were days when people said Sonic would never appear on a Nintendo console, yet all the classics / most of the new ones have.
This is true, but no matter how alluring XBLG actually is, they still need to magically sell the Xbox One. I can tell you now, making Xbox Live Gold this must have program is not the way to go about it.
@ Rhinoceros
It's not the cost, but the principal that matters.
@ GribbleGrunger
They never did, nor did I say they did. My comment was directed at the first year bonus they did, which WAS blocked on the PS3 / webstore and required a loop hole for non Vita / PSP users to score the free games. Since Sony seems to be capable of blocking people from getting games, it's impossible to say if they will implement this tech again.
Even then I figured they would implement something, though you really never know till it happens...
