"I don't understand why people want a year and a half old game you can get off craigslist for $10 or GameStop versus a brand new game. "
1) If I had my choice of a $60 game I wouldn't ever play or a $10 game I would play, I'll take the $10 game every time, since it is the only thing that adds actual value.
2) Because of how PS+ use to be, a lot of people plan their purchases around what they expect to be free. I expected Second Son to be free an...
"It will come. When Sony introduced PS+ it was late in PS3s life so there was a lot of AAA to chose from. "
Fact: When PS+ launched it didn't have many amazing games. It actually had a lot of PS One classics and Mini's. The first month was Ages of Zombies, Rally Cross and Wipeout HD.
Fact: After a while PS+ did a massive revision and started offering a ton of retail games.
Fact: While it was almost certainly due to its low sales, the Vita h...
I get your point and I agree with it, but there are most certainly more than one game.
Rogue Legacy
Don't Starve
Velocity 1(I don't like it, but it seems to be very well liked)
Velocity X2
Binding of Isaac
Super Meat Boy (if you want to count it)
Spelunky
Guacamelee
Plus there are things you also have to exclude, such as...

Did you ever consider that maybe they don't own all three platforms or already own a number of the solid games offered?
Like going back to March 2014, if I only look at PS3/Vita games, there are only two games I actually downloaded and played and they both released before July 2014. Everything else I either had or didn't want. Now if we include PS4 cross-buys the total jumps to like four, but thats still a terrible ratio.
One of the core issues with this argument is that there are bad "AAA" games (though people typically say they when AAA when they really just want retail games), just like there are good indie games. Rocket League and Rogue Legacy being an example of good indies, with Reality Fighters and Sherlock Holmes being examples of bad retail.
What this argument really comes down to is wanting better games, period.

"That can not be possible for such a high quality product!"
The Divisions biggest problem is that, once you get to the grinding part, you're basically just doing it to do it. The biggest change is the type/level of enemies (be it DZ 5/6 or challenging mode), neither of which are that engaging in the grand scheme of things. Add to this the fact that most missions don't have a challenging mode, there are countless cosmetic reskins (seriously, it shouldn't ...
Oh come on now. Its not like The Division is universally viewed as an amazing (MC average is like 80) game that is without faults (repetitive missions, lack of post game [seriously, only four challenge missions], for a while DZ was woefully imbalanced [losing 12,000+ experience for a death was absurdly high], bad drop rates, etc). Plus a 6.5 is not really a "click bait" amount. In fact, if the site views five as average, it would put it slightly above average, instead of slightly be...
"This is nonsense to go by trophy percentages."
The theory is logical. Instead of asking random people, going off sample sizes or any of that, they simply look at the trophy list (which has a percent based off the number that
With that being said, I do feel like the author is grasping at straws. As you said, its been 16 days and in that time and the author seems to be acting like everyone who bought Hitman would drop everything for it, when many are...
"there's nothing wrong with the crafting system. You just don't want to farm. Name an mmorpg that you don't have to farm in."
Generally speaking, the crafting system is fine. The idea that no piece of gear, besides grey/green, is worthless is a novel idea and it's great to know that even if RNG doesn't work in your favor, you can always craft some of the best items in the game. However, there are some flaws too.
The amount of ele...
"calibration prices is so high,it is like nothing i ever seen before in any MMO or what ever game that has the same mechanics. "
The issue isn't just that the price is high, but that so many mechanics seem poorly thought out.
Regular credits can be helpful for obtaining something RNG didn't give you, but odds are you'll save your credits for level 30 and by that time you can quickly get decked out in full purple doing the last couple of ...
" I'm not saying it's perfect as the games could be better but they could also be worse. "
A case of jumping on a bandwagon thats existed of around three years (perhaps even more)?
"I'm not saying it's perfect as the games could be better but they could also be worse."
I don't think I'll ever understand this logic. I mean, this month we got a game that was a 50~ on Metacritic that was basically a V...

"time shouldn't be the main attribute when it comes to games like these. I'd like to see skill be the determining factor for good and bad players."
And, believe it or not, it actually is. Games like The Division and Destiny actually have a lot of elements that help casual players that are often overlooked/forgotten.
You can get 30 phoenix coins a day by doing two missions, one to three from killing named bos...
"What I liked about warhawk was that anyone could use any weapon or vehicle and you couldn't earn anything that would give you an advantage in the game. It was all about skill. I know MMOs are capable of this."
So, let me get this straight. You basically want a RPG (assuming your end goal is not something like MAG) that removes a core aspect of the genre, resulting in a The Division being little more than a shooter.
"What quickly came to m...
Editorials like this are one of the issues I have with certain "journalists." The concept is, at the very least, quite interesting. However, instead of really looking at the issue, discussing the ethical and morale aspects, talking about how the industry works and really looking at the issue, it's little more than "if the games not complete, lets give it the benefit of doubt," which is a terrible notion.
Going back to what I said, this is an important...
"Why hand out review copies early if the servers aren't on."
From what I understand, review copies have not gone out, but it still makes sense for Pre-load purposes. For some it might seem pointless, but it makes a lot of sense if you think about it.
Take Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. Review copies (or at least I got mine) were sent out Tuesday afternoon. From there, I had to download something like 23 GB to play this game. Now you take...
Maybe I'm stupid, but I constantly see people talk about how interactions are super important and completely required to do the review, yet I simply don't see how.
I understand that is how the game is meant to be played and accept that it will be better (if its done right anyway) with more people, but how much is really going to change with additional people? Especially when it doesn't even make sense to review a subjective aspect of subjective things.

"Yes, I do feel you're being a bit unreasonable, and I feel I said it pretty clearly, and being unreasonable about this is something rather common nowadays. "
The only one being unreasonable is you, since it seems like you couldn't even fathom being wrong.
"This article includes all the relevant information stated in that livestream, which includes that. "
First off, this is a problem. This article is titled "...
After reading this, I feel like the writer missed or choose to ignore the real issue in most peoples minds.
One of the hard things about reviewing anything that requires a connection is that there is no "unified" experience. Some people are simply going to have a great experience, others will have an okay experience, but, in the end, just because person A has no problems, doesn't mean person B won't either.
I think another part of the issue...
"No I meant 9. I didn't know 10 had that as well."
You 100% sure? I only ask because Nine doesn't have a trophy list, so it doesn't exist and there isn't an achievement for beating the game without taking damage on the Xbox ( http://www.xboxachievements... ) .
"Remember PS Plus is for three consoles, if u happen to own 2 or more PS consoles. It's an amazing value."
Honestly, thats sort of debatable. In the past this was certainly true, but the past couple of months saw a massive decline in quality. PS3 went from getting great retail games to two games that are so old they were offered as freebies when the PSN went down in 2011. Let that concept sink in. These are games so old that even in 2011 Sony was okay with givin...
