I can wait another week, you know, since I have to.

Bring it on!

We know that this isn't the final controller and that developers haven't had the tools to implement it for very long so I'm taking all news with a grain of salt until we get closer to release and, ultimately, until I get to try it for myself.

we just know zilch about the 3rd one. not that we know much about the first 2.

I don't think they boycott our products. I think that they just make a lot of really high quality stuff - electronics to clothes to you name it - and they're proud of that, it's part of their cultural identity. I actually think that's kind of cool. They do like American music at least. And treasury bonds.

Hardware sales wise, sure they aren't as big as Europe or North America. But they do make a lot of games - which gives the Japanese made hardware the advantage of not only having quality western development, but eastern as well.

I was watching X-Play's TGS coverage and they showed the Halo 3 booth - there was one non-japanese dude playing. They talked about how none of the japanese gamers seemed to care about it.

I think that Microsoft is, or has to be, content with merely existing in Japan. It's not like they can just say "screw it, we're not making any money in Japan so let's just leave". The media would have a field day. They are, smartly, focusing more on NA and EU where they actually hav...

I guess I'll just buy a new controller when the battery dies then.

Seriously, if you're going to make stuff up it's better to make it sound, at the very least, plausible.

I rented ZoE to play the Japanese MGS2 demo!

One should note, when speaking on Microsoft's giant mountain of cash, that while it's still enormous - it's a lot smaller than it used to be, and is continuing to dwindle. Certainly the Entertainment and Devices Division isn't completely responsible for that they certainly haven't helped (in the red to the tune of $7 billion since it was started).

Sony's Computer Entertainment division has been their most profitable over the last decade. Sure they're not making money on PS3s ...

I'm just going to get GH3 for the PS2 and Rock Band for the PS3. If I can use the RB controllers for GH3 I might re-buy it for PS3, but if not I won't.

Who wants to use GH controllers for RB? Not me.

Halo Flamewar aside - this is terrible financial advice.

This is my most anticipated title of 2007 for sure. Can't wait!

I'm glad they focused on single player. I really felt that adding online to Up Your Arsenal took away from the length of the single player. The jump from Going Commando to Up Your Arsenal was much smaller than that of The first R&C to Going commando - I've always thought it was because of the addition of multi-player.

We all know Halo 3 will be a huge success. But what, I think, will decide whether or not the 360 surpasses the success of the original Xbox will be decided by all the games OTHER THAN Halo.

I don't think any console can survive on one massive hit and that's it. A diverse library with something for every gamer is what makes a successful console in the long term.

I hope this is true. I know we've all been worked up over TouchSense, but at the end of the day who really cares if it is or isn't TouchSense. We just want it to be good right? I mean, no one has ever used TouchSense - maybe it's too pricey, maybe it sucks, who knows.

The Dual Shock 2 had the best rumble that I've ever experienced - and I think I've experienced them all. Even the 360's and Wii's don't measure up to the Dual Shock 2. But I still expect Sony to step it up - putt...

That's not it. That's been up for a while and doesn't match with the image they showed at the conference. It's just PSN info, like a catalog - but not the PS Store.

I think a voluntary recall would probably be appropriate under the circumstance. The problem is that to do so they would have to admit the design flaw that everyone know is there actually exists. If I had the option to send in my 360 for one that didn't have that flaw I would probably go for it - then I could stop worrying about it breaking.

For those, like the author, that want to send it in but can't because it hasn't broken - I have to think that it wouldn't be all that hard...
