I guess Destructoid was low on hits this month.
Preach it man. Seriously.
If by average you mean "one of the best game franchises in history of the universe" then I totally agree.
Sweeeeeeeeet!
From what I've seen it follows really closely to the Anime. Combine that with the fact that you can use the original (Japanese) voice acting and I expect most fans will really enjoy it.
The majority of Naruto games are pretty much cash-ins. Which is not to say they are all crap, but this is the first one that I've seen that is really attempting to emulate what's fun about Naruto.
While I've always really like BC as a feature and that Sony has been really great about it I do agree that as the PS3 library fills out there is less of a need/demand for it. I pretty much never use the feature as it is - I pretty much only play Guitar Hero on the PS2, it doesn't work on the PS3 so I've kept the PS2 around.
Really, if that's what they've got to do to grow the base then that's OK.
If you read the article it says "slashing $100 off the starting price of PS3 in the U.S." which is true. They are reducing the lowest price that you can get a new PS3 for - it was $499 and now it's $399.
Additionally they, effective immediately, cut the price of the 80gig by $100 as well - to $499.
I fully agree in principle, but I gotta think he knows enough about how the industry works to understand why it is the way it is. This November, or just Holiday in general, is PACKED with games vying for a slice of that sweet holiday season shopping pie, more so than possibly ever before. It makes sense for a few reasons. This holiday is going to be very important for all of the consoles as it's the first real holiday that they are all available in all markets, and they all want to be come ou...
Sounds cool, really welcome addition to PSN.
PC version is noticeably sharper - not nitpicking, it's very obvious.
It's crazy that people get paid to do this sort of captain obvious style "analysis". I won't be at all surprised if PS2 is #1 again this holiday - I actually expect it.
I can understand, to a point, why gamers are so eager to point out any potential flaw in Halo. It's frustrating that Halo gets so much attention and focus because of the immense amount of money spent on marketing it when many games that are as good and/or better get far less or no attention at all.
I would much rather the mainstream face of gaming be far broader and more inclusive of the diverse entertainment that is available.
If you have time you should check out the first 3 as well. They are fantastic.
I don't know for absolute fact since I don't have the disc, but I'm pretty sure they are exactly the same. It's just the very beginning of the game - Quark calls Ratchet for help and they hurry over while Metropolis is being torn apart looking for Ratchet. If that's what the disc one is like, then yes, it's the same.
Played the demo last night. It was actually a little overwhelming how amazing it looked - really brings you into the game even more.
As far as the constant comparisons to Pixar - this game is beautiful, but no game even comes close to "Pixar quality" graphics yet.
How much has Microsoft paid for Mass Effect?
Man, someone really likes blur effects. A LOT.
"MS have already responded
They are going to be publishing Mass Effect. That means it's not going to ever be on the PS3. But of course Mass Effect 2 or 3 could be multiplatform. "
No, Microsoft has publishing rights for Mass Effect on the 360. That doesn't preclude Bioware from putting the game on any other platform. Now that they are with EA there's nothing to stop EA from publishing the game for the PC and PS3.
I for one will be very very surpr...
I guess Gabe Newell won't be able to play! OH SNAP!!!
jk!

Umm - they've show a lot more than that. There are developer diaries and lots of gameplay footage of all the different things you can do in the game on the web.
