The Canadian dollar is worth about .966 USD right now - which is certainly not more, but is very close to equivalent. I agree that Canadians shouldn't get the shaft on this sort of thing. It's too bad the others don't take Sony's lead and let people buy things with actual currencies as opposed to points.
This posting is using a total flamebait headline instead of the original headline. For shame
BLaZiN PRopHeT, for shame.
EDIT: it's good that they changed it; it's too bad we can't change titles once the story is approved.
This is about what I expected from this game. Neither great nor terrible. Reminds me a lot of Crackdown, which was fun, but not a very deep game. Probably worth a rent at least, but for me probably not for a while - too many great games coming out.
Caps lock is cruise control for awesome ;)
It's a great demo, gives you a good feel for how the game plays without spoiling the story at all. Leaves you wanting more, wanting to buy the game as a good demo should.
They ought to be on PSN before too long I should think.
Sure, I was just talking about HDTVs as opposed to computer monitors - I think most folks hook their consoles up to televisions as opposed to monitors.
The both look fantastic, kudos to Infinity Ward for showing how a multi-platform release should be done (I hope you're paying attention EA). In places the particle effects, smoke in particular, look different, but not to the detriment of either game - just the only really noticeable difference.
It does bug me that they are using Velvet Revolver's "Slither" in the commercial with Slash to promote the game when that song is NOT included on the disc - you have to pay extra if you want it. That's kinda sleazy.
Please post a link to where I can buy an HD-DVD player for $98. That's a Full HD (1080p) player right? I can just walk right into Walmart or Best Buy or Circuit City and get this price?
Please inform me so I can buy one for $98 right away.
If your screen has a native vertical resolution of 1080 (only screens around 40 inches or higher) then it's pretty easy to see the difference. 720p still looks good, but 1080p is noticeable sharper.
This game looks like crap. Is it supposed to be fun? I think Rockstar only bothers making this sort of thing to keep their street-cred or whatever, they get tons of free press making people think they're so edgy etc. I don't think they should be censored, but I don't think anyone should buy or play this game either.
This is just a word game - of course they don't want the war, they just want to win - whatever that means to them.
Um,
Tom Morello Guitar Battle
Slash Guitar Battle
The Devil Went Down to Georgia
are all in the game already.
"Slither" is in the commercial so we know it's coming.
"The cheapest Blu-ray player at Wal-Mart runs $464."
Sure, until tomorrow when the $399 PS3 comes out.
"The Xbox 360's external HD-DVD drive is now available at $179"
Sure, except you also have to pay at least $279 for a 360 so that makes $458 which is more than $399.
They are both great!
Yeah, you guys don' sound scared at all (Red Octane).
The most fun I have with Guitar Hero is when we throw Guitar Hero parties - Rock Band would actually be better for a party because you have more instrument choices, it will get more people involved.
Also, I've been playing a ton of GH3 this week and am well more than half finished with it - so I can say this: It's pretty much Guitar Hero 2 with a new coat of paint. This isn't to say that it isn't great - it's ...
The Rock Band Bundle costs about the same as GH3 with an extra guitar for 360 or PS3, but 3 people can play right out of the box.
Sweet! Now I just have to find the time to play between R&C and GH3.
This is looking great! Keep 'em coming Harmonix!
