How can he think that it will "Absolutely" overtake the Wii, but has no chance of overtaking the 360?
I liked EBA, I just thought the difficulty ramp-up needed some work. There are only two difficulties. The easier being ridiculously easy and the more difficult being nearly impossible to beat. That's japanese games for you I guess. Personally I don't enjoy spending 90% of my time with a game trying to beat the final "boss".
Well, it is.
I was pretty surprised with the 4 out of 5 - especially right after they gave Assassin's Creed a 5. I think Uncharted is at least as good as Assassin's if not better.
Microsoft is really going out of their way to make sure I buy all my muli-platform games on the PS3 instead of the 360.
This patch is several months too late. Been finished with that game for ages.
Bogus. My Gold Account just expired and I'm done with XBL. If I want to play online now I just turn on my PS3. I just can't stand the idea of paying for P2P gaming - I gave it a year, and now I'm done.
I think digital distribution is the way of the future - as in like 5-10 years from now. I don't think that the anyone has the infrastructure in place to compete with disc-based formats right now. Young people may be able to see the merits in having it sooner, but for most middle-aged people it's too "high tech". That combined with the fact that a lot of people still like to buy physical media - look at how digital distribution of music hasn't done away with CDs at all - just makes i...
Man, I want one of those magic boxes! I guess I'll have to crack open my PS3 ;)
I agree with the guy above who said they want to see if they can get away with charging for it. The problem is that so many people are actually willing, even happy, to pay for XBL so they can play P2P online. Oh and Microsoft has ads all over it, but don't worry - you can have the ads even if you don't pay for Gold, you just can't, you know, play video games online.
Microsoft has been pretty successful with the "let's see how much we can get away with" strategy in the...
They should put it on the Wii. This game screams MOTION CONTROLS!
;)
The wireless uses a USB dongle. They found that the bluetooth wasn't perfect enough for such a demanding rhythm game.
I think if someone buys a 40 gig PS3 and Rock Band they have no one to blame but themselves when they can't plug in all three peripherals. It says on the PS3 box that it has 2 USB ports and it says on the Rock Band box that it has 3 peripherals - if one can't do the math there then I don't know what to say. Maybe they can blame their elementary school teachers.
Someone from Harmonix was quoted recently being concerned about this, but really the onus is the consumers'. Being an...
It's Rock Band where the PS3 guitar is wireless but the 360 guitar is wired.
Also, I'm pretty sure if you have a 40 gig PS3 you'll need a powered USB hub or possibly one that eats both of your 2 ports and gives you 4. I would think that would provide enough voltage, but I could be wrong. Powered is the safe way to go.
They aren't including it because at this point most PS3 owners don't need it. It would cost them a few bucks for every unit shipped, and it doesn't...
You'd think they could find a better use of their time than trying to rewrite the Constitution again. I don't think anyone should ever buy or play or let anyone they know buy or play Manhunt 2 because it's sensationalist crap, but what really bothers me is taxpayers money being wasted talking about it when there are real issues that can be addressed, you know, without crapping on the Constitution.
DivX is just a video codec like, AVI or MPEG2, that is popular on the internets because of its high quality compression.
This game goes to 11. Hopefully this time tomorrow I'll be playing it!
The reason is that GH2 and GH3 are totally different code bases. GH2 was made by Harmonix, but GH3 was made by Neversoft. The 360 version of GH2 is a port of the PS2 game so it makes sense that the controller works because it is using Harmonix's specifications. The GH3 controller, however, is not. Harmonix has said all along that other controllers would work as other developers conformed to the specification - looks like Neversoft/Activision didn't.
I think they went 8 there because it's so linear. But, really, what's wrong with that? Not every game needs to be sandbox, you know. A lot of fantastic games have been totally linear - I don't think that's much reason to knock it. But whatever, it's still a good score and a must-play for PS3 owners.
Maybe the bidders are after that rich mono sound.
