I think i'll wait to see it in HD in my living room. I am sort of interested in the gameplay videos though...
Come back with that when you have a video. Text really doesn't so your amazing physics justice.
Isn't Vista just a consumer version of Windows Server 2003 that's all tarted up with Aero?
I thought it was called Assassin's Creed?!?
;)
I much prefer the new PlayStation Store nav to the latest version of XBLM (I like the current XBLM less than the previous). The only real gripe I have about the PS Store is the image thumbnails don't load quickly enough, but I do like that you can navigate without them by looking at the text.
Since we're talking about operating systems and not hardware I'll assume that you mean Mac OS X. Since Leopard is the latest release I'll also assume you're referring to Leopard. Now, since OS X Leopard costs less than even the least expensive version of Vista and WAY less than the most expensive version of Vista I'll assume you think that Vista is extremely overpriced. As far as the "underpowered" comment goes I can pretty much guarantee that if you compare two identical computers ...
Yep - it seems to be turning out almost exactly like ME, or Bob (brainchild of Melinda Gates that gave us the talking paperclip) if you want to go back that far. Every few revisions they seem to miss the mark quite a bit. I read somewhere that by the end of 2008 an estimated 70% of business computers will still be on XP - to me that sounds like Vista = Fail. For me, I knew they were in trouble when I heard about middle-aged people refusing to buy Dells with Vista on them - that's bad!
In Order of The Phoenix we all learned that "the weapon" is love - the BEST invention ever!
My first thought was "isn't this a closed beta", but really this is the whole point. If they aren't prepared to handle the demand for the beta then they won't be anywhere close to handling the demand for the full game. I think everyone is probably a little short on patience with Konami, but they're doing their best.
Oh man! GTAIV is such a failure! I'm gonna go cancel my pre-order! ;)
I'm glad they responded on that playstation blog post - sounds like the site is working better. Se y'all online - game ID: adamalicious
I played through all of the Orange Box except TF2 on a 360 copy I borrowed from a friend - having read this I'm glad I didn't buy the PS3 version to play TF2.
I kinda wish Nintendo would stop making home consoles and just make titles for other systems like Sega has done - unfortunately people keep buying Wiis and they are making a crap-ton of money so that's not likely to happen. Zelda and Mario on the PS3 would be rocket sauce. They just don't seem to be changing the trend of only have a handful of first-party titles that are worth playing with almost nothing from third parties that has persisted for a decade or so now. They mainly rely on remaki...
Yeah - I don't know what's up with their session timeouts. Possibly their session table is just overflowing to the point that it's constantly getting truncated. I already managed to get mine, but nice work coming up with a haXXor workaround - I didn't even bother to try and outsmart the server :)
It's pretty shameful that they didn't even address the problems with the Konami ID site. They should just shut it down for a day or two and sort it out - or just eliminate the need for them entirely, may be too late for that at this point.
10k? It's only $2,500!

I bet you'll run out and buy one now ;)
The Beta doesn't start until Monday so we can't play until then.
I'm pretty sure it's dedicated servers. When you try to log in right now it tells you that you can't connect to the server. Also, the previous MGO from Subsistence was dedicated.
I can't find any concrete info on it so who knows.
Why do they have a question mark after each bullet item? Are they not sure? Do they just fail at grammar?
It does come off as pretty lame - trying to get the media to make hay over a very minimal install. Makes them sound pretty worried.
Pretty sure he just means the the PS3 version is a bit warmer and the 360 version is a bit cooler. He doesn't really say how wide the gap is so it's entirely possible that you wouldn't notice much difference if you weren't comparing them side by side - especially when you take into account that pretty much every TV allows you to set your color temperature.
