Right now I'm going with the Eagles vs. Steelers at the Superbowl.
But, I definantly think that the Ravens vs Steelers Championship game tommorrow will be a close one.
.... I'm still a little ticked off though, my Home Team the Carolina Panthers, the number 2 seed Lost in the most embarrassing fashion while playing at Home in Charlotte, and being undefeated at Home for the entire season.... oh well, maybe next year.
I came about the decision to buy a PS3 rather easily.... I've owned previous Playstation consoles, so a PS3 purchase at launch was a no brainer.
For the most part, it was the Playstation Exclusive franchises (God of War, Gran Turismo, Shadow of the Colossus, Twisted Metal, Metal Gear Solid, Jak and Daxter, etc....) that drew me to the PS3, and the fact that I was a previous Playstation console owner.

I'd like to see more action/adventure games with exploring, or maybe an Open World Action/Adventure game that's just as big as Fallout 3's map. The shooters or nice, but I'd like to see more non-shooters.
I knew that this was going to happen sooner or later... But since that is the Review Build copy, I think I'll just hold out. The Review build probably isn't that much significantly different than the Final Version, but I just want to get the Final Version first.
If there's any of these KZ2 Press Kits on Ebay after I get KZ2, then I might buy one (depending on how high bidding goes) just to have it as a Collectible.

If Sony does actually advertise the PS3 during the Superbowl, I'll be surprised. Usually Sony doesn't start advertising a game about 3+ weeks away from release.... the only game I can remember that Sony actually advertised really early was Metal Gear Solid 4, in early 2008:

I wouldn't be surprised if Alan Wake didn't come out in 2009.... I mean, Alan Wake hasn't been at one single Video Game Show at all in 2008... the only thing shown was a Trailer.
If Alan Wake doesn't show up by at least GDC this year with some new gameplay footage and with Remedy actually there to show off the game, then I doubt it will be released in 2009.
However, I hope the game turns out good because it's really one of the only PC/360 only games that I'm REALLY ...
As far as God of War 3 getting "pushed back", it was never confirmed for a 2009 release anyways. The Dec. 2009 date was just a rumored date, never confirmed by Sony.
But, I do agree that Killzone 2 will go on to be the best selling PS3 title this year because KZ2 will appeal to a more wider audience than MGS4 did.
That Killzone 2 Press Kit would have made for a nice Collectors Edition version.
I have to agree that $299 is the "sweet spot" price for the PS3 considering everything that it will offer for such an affordable price.... but I don't really agree 100% with Pachters predictions considering the price cut.
I think it's "slightly" possible that the PS3 will see a price cut by April, but I wouldn't count on it. I think a PS3 price cut around E3 2009 in June would be more highly likely though.

You have a point, but since 2007, EA has made very good PS3 multiplatform games (Burnout Paradise, Madden 09, Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, and the list goes on.)
I think that EA could do a good PS3 port of L4D because they've done very well with PS3 development ever since Burnout Paradise.... heck, some EA games have led development on the PS3.
The Xbox 360's installbase in the U.S. is double that of the PS3's installbase in the U.S., so why is it a big deal that GTA4 sold less on the PS3?
However, If I'm not mistaken, the PS3 version of GTA4 had a higher attach rate.
But I have to admit that I am a "little" surprised that GTA4 on the PS3 didn't manage to hit the 2 million unit mark in the U.S. in 2008, but it still came close. I bought GTA4 on release, but haven't played it since Last May because...
The PS3 sold more last Holiday because the PS3 was FRESH off of a Price cut because Sony had just introduced the 40GB PS3 for $399.
If the PS3 sold 200K less or about HALF the amount it sold in Dec. 2007, then it would be a cause for concern, but overall, PS3 sales are up 40% in 2008 compared to 2007 in the U.S., and really, that's the only that that should matter, and that's great growth for a console that's been selling at $399 minimum for over a year.
December's NPD was good for all consoles, including the PS3. The PS3 sold over 700K and it's been selling at $399 minimum for over a year, and that's not bad to me.
But, the 360 outsold the PS3 by 2:1, and that's expected, I mean, the cheapest 360 is $199. A PS3 price cut to $299 should be able to bring the PS3's monthly sales to about 100,000K- 200,000K away from 360 monthly sales.
SquareEnix needs to just release the U.S. & EU PS3 version of FFXIII when it's finished.... they shouldn't have to make PS3 owners wait even longer just because they have to port it to the 360.... I mean, Square probably won't even start porting the 360 version until Late this year.
Since it will probably take Square at least a year to port FFXIII to the 360, I'm guessing that the U.S. and E.U. version won't be out until Q3-Q4 2010..... but luckily for PS3 owners that can rea...
I agree with RE5 and FFXIII, but not really the others. I'm not a RTS fan, so personally I'm not looking forward to Star Craft, but I do know that Star Craft is a huge franchise I respect someone else's opinion that they are looking forward too it.

Killzone 2 to me doesn't need a demo, but I don't see what the big deal about this is.
I think that Killzone 2 having a Demo will only help sales and will be in it's favor because there is going to be TONS of people Pre-ordering Killzone 2 so that they can play it early. There were a ton of people that didn't get into the Beta and I have no doubt that this strategy is going to drive sales because once people get a "taste" of Killzone 2, they'll be begging for more.

No, I'm not tired of seeing KZ2 articles.
The majority of the articles here on N4G about Killzone 2 have been gameplay footage, and Previews. The more press the game gets, the more it's name gets out.
Articles like this isn't meant to hype KZ2, it's just to give good factual info, and that's something I want.
