I haven't played that many games that I've personally been disappointed with because I tend to buy games that I'm pretty confident I'll like and I've always done that... but 2 games that come to my mind are Resistance 2 and Grand Theft Auto 4, and that's pretty much it.

The main reason I was "slightly" disappointed with R2 is because I loved Resistance 1 better... to me R1 had a better story even though Nathan Hale didn't say a word, and R1 had a longer and more enjoyab...

I don't agree that the PS3 lacks exclusives, because as of right now, there's plenty of announced exclusives and plenty of already released PS3 exclusives... and right now the PS3 looks like it has the upper hand in terms of exclusive lineup.

But, I do agree the 360 Lacks franchises... the 360 relies too much on 1 or 2 franchises (Halo and Gears) to me, and for proof of that, ever since the 360 first came out, it's been switching between Halo and Gears (Gears 1 2006, Halo 3 2007,...

This is just getting ridicoulous. Ninja Blade has only gotten ONE review so far that's on Metacritic (MS XboxWorld). I think it's WAYYY to early to say that Itagaki got outdone by Ninja Blade when there hasn't been any other reviews.

These sort of claims shouldn't be made until there's further proof, and right now, there is NONE.

@PS3isBUST

Regardless how well PS3 exclusives sell or not, the PS3 is going to be building an exclusive lineup and as the PS3 does that, it will be convincing more and more people to get a PS3.

If Microsoft doesn't respond to the PS3's lineup, you can expect plenty of Xbox 360 only owners to jump ship to PS3. Microsoft can't just sit back and do nothing if they want to keep their current userbase happy and to keep the most die hard 360 fan from buying a PS3.

I just got the Official PS Magazine a few days ago, and I totally overlooked the rumor because I haven't seen it yet in the mag.

If there will be MGS5, I would want the story to focus on Raiden, and I would really love to find out what happened to Raiden after the "Big Shell Incident", all the way up to the events of MGS4.

Raiden was somewhat of a sissy/pretty boy in MGS2, but in MGS4 he was totally bada$$ as the cyborg ninja.

I have a feelin...

And I'd also say InFamous and Quantum Theory

There's not much hype around InFamous at all, but I think that it could be a sleeper PS3 exclusive hit because Sucker Punch has a pretty good track record for delivering solid games.

Tecmo has a pretty good track record as well with their games, the only thing that has me a little skeptical about it, is that it's a 3rd person shooter from a Japanese developer, and I think that it's Tecmo's first Shooter of any kind.

I felt the exact same way about those VG Chartz numbers, but as we all know, VG Chartz numbers aren't real actual numbers, so there's no need to get worked up about VG Chartz numbers.

If there was around 1.1 million pre-orders in Europe alone, then surely by now Killzone 2 should have sold over 1.04 million in this 2 week period Worldwide.

Even though we don't know if ALL the people that pre-ordered KZ2 in Europe actually bought it, but just in case they all didn't, ...

LOL, as soon as I read the title to this story, I knew it was a HipHopGamerShow article.

It's almost funny to me that there's people like this guy scrambling to find a game on the 360 that will be able to match KZ2 graphically.

A particular game engine doesn't automatically promise better graphics and just because this game engine comes from Crytek, it doesn't mean that all of a sudden, consoles like the PS3 and 360 will be able to automatically pull off identical Crysi...

I agree with the Franchises on the list, but not so much the order... I think they should be in this order:

5. Twisted Metal
4. Gran Turismo
3. Jak, Sly, and Rachet
2. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus
1. God of War

Twisted Metal is the longest running Playstation franchise of all time, and it definantly deserves to be in the Top 5, and I'm a die-hard fan of all the Franchises on the list except for Rachet and Sly.

Some other franch...

"shadow of collosis (dont know how popular it is...) "

Shadow of the Colossus wasn't exactly "popular"... it was more of a Cult hit Classic with a lot of underground fans of Team ICO's games, and it's still considered one of the best PS2 games.

Team ICO's games like SoTC aren't really all that mainstream, and not everyone can fully appreciate their games to the fullest, but Team ICO's games have been pretty groundbreaking/unique, and they've garne...

I agree.

And very similar to you, Last generation for some reason I totally ignored the Rachet and Clank franchise and I was all over every Jak and Daxter game... I just love Jak and Daxter and it's one of my all time favorite Platformers next to Crash Bandicoot, and I really want to see a Jak and Daxter PS3 game.

I remember playing the demos of the Sly games, but never bought any of them even though I enjoyed the demos, but I do plan on buying all 3 Sly games sometime ...

To me it looks like the Japanese Wii market has finally gotten to the saturation point or is getting close too it at least.... or maybe it's just time for a Wii price cut.

My guess is that Wii sales wont be increasing in Japan again until another major Nintendo game comes out like Pikmin 3 or something because there's such a big gap between quality Wii titles, and there's been so many big HD games being released in Japan recently

Next month with FF Advent Children PS3 b...

Pretty Nice numbers for the PS3 in Japan for last week... and just look at the Xbox 360, even though it's near the bottom, 14K for the 360 is solid numbers.

One thing for sure, Yoshida was right when he said that the PS3's price wasn't so much of an issue in Japan, but more of a Software issue, because despite the PS3 costing like 2 or 3 times more than the 360 in Japan and a lack of JRPG's, it still sells and games like Yakuza 3, RE5, SF4 have been moving some PS3's over there l...

Cajun Chicken,

Yeah, I can't believe that Crab actually said that also, lol....However, I do agree with nearly all of what he said.

Even if Halo 3: ODST doesn't raise the bar in the FPS genre, I still think that it'll get the same review scores that Halo 3 got, mainly because it's Halo and there's SO many fans of the series that will be reviewing the game on these big sites.... I highly doubt Halo 3:ODST will get mixed to average reviews.

Sony's just go...

Dang, another PS3 game from Tecmo?! LOL. I guess it hasn't been confirmed exclusive yet, but it looks like it could be.

I have no idea what the game could be, but I'm going to guess it could be Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, a new IP, or maybe a downloadable PSN title.

If it's gonna be exclusive, the amount of PS3 exclusives getting announced is just getting ridiculous, LOL. There was just some news about a new PS3 exclusive earlier today. Please, don't hurt my wallet anymore...

I would have bought a physical copy Killzone 2 regardless. When it comes to Video games and movies for me it's Physical Format all the way. The only thing I prefer to download digitally is music.

One thing for sure, Sony is leading the way in Digital Distribution of games this generation so far, even though it was M$ that was touting it early on.... Sony's got games that are avaliable both at retail and on the PSN for download (Burnout Paradise, SOCOM, Warhawk, GT5P, etc..)

Ummm.... O.k.... I wasn't expecting that.

But anyways, in the Poll I voted "I Don't Care".

I'm not a huge fan of the script or voice acting in a game unless it's a heavily story driven game/ franchise and there's plenty of dialouge, like in God of War or Metal Gear Solid... but for Shooters like Killzone or Resistance, script isn't all that important to me... the average guy in most shooters is some Bada$$ guy, so it's not like they are going to be talking ...

Hmmm... looks like it could be interesting. With the flood of shooters on the market, I definantly hope this is something different.

I had a thought that maybe you play as the Lizard in the game, but that doesn't really make much sense... but I guess the game will take place in the desert.

A full trailer at GDC would be awesome, and I'd love to find out what genre this game is (crossing my fingers that it's Action/Adventure or RPG)

All I've got to say is WOW.

I was definantly not expecting a score THIS high for Resistance Retribution from Gametrailers.... I was thinking something between a 8.0-8.5 from these guys, but I guess it must have really impressed... but I guess IGN UK seems to think a LOT differently about the game.

The PSP to PS3 connectivity and being able to play the game with the Dualshock 3 is pretty sweet though.

"Besides more people will buy the 360/PC version due to the sales of the first one so it would make sense to get the 360 version out first and make some money and then take the extra time needed to make the PS3 version, just like last time"

Nah, I disagree. To maximize sales I think 2K should release ALL versions Day and Date, and to me it just makes perfect sense to do that.

The reason the PS3 version of Bioshock bombed is because it came out an entire year a...
