I could care less what the size of the install for Uncharted 2 will be (or if it will even have an install at all after reading the article), as I will gratefully install it, just like Metal Gear Solid 4 and others.
If there will be an install, it'll be the best install I've made since MGS4, can't wait until Oct. 13th, install or not!
Even though I'm not happy about it, all of the video game delays opened up room for me to get Sigma 2 on release day, because other wise I would have probably put the purchase of this on hold until December.
This looks like a perfect action game to tide me over until God of War 3.
I definantly didn't expect Splinter Cell to be delayed (again) after seeing how amazing the game videos were during Microsoft's Press Conference at E3, but then again, no one really saw the Bioshock 2, Max Payne 3, etc... delays coming either.
The Fall 2009 lineup did a disappearing act this year and it's something I was disappointed to see, but 2010 right now just looks EPIC.
Sony continuing to support the PS2 is probably what's keeping a lot of core PS2 gamers that haven't upgraded to a 7th gen. console from buying a Xbox 360 to be honest.
If Sony cut off PS2 support like... right NOW the chance that even half of those gamers still playing on the PS2 flocking to the PS3 is slim, and that's why Sony should definantly support the PS2 until it just plain stops selling or until the PS3 is a whole lot cheaper.
And NO I don't think PS2 sales a...
LMFAO @ the pic! I honestly thought that more people that owned PS3's/360's would have had them hooked up to HDTV's since the prices of them have gone down so much, but I guess the prices have go down a little bit more.
When I first got my PS3 in Dec. 2006, I had it hooked up to a 20" SDTV for a year and I got a small 23" Samsung HDTV, and just last month I upgraded to a 40" 1080p Samsung. I hope that more gamers find the means to go HD in the near future, it's jus...
Didn't expect this game to have a Collectors Edition, but I'm definantly picking this game up and I'll probably get this Collectors Edition since it's listed only $10 bucks more than the standalone copy on Gamestop's website.
The last Hack-and-Slash PS3 game I've played is Heavenly Sword when it first came out (amazing game even though it was short), and I need something like Sigma 2 to quench my thirst until the real blood bath begins with God of War 3!
I prefer to buy my movies on Blu-ray DVD's as well.... I just like having a Collection of stuff and being able to actually see it/touch it.
Digital Downloads and Movie Streaming will definantly be able to co-exist alongside Blu-ray until the majority of people get faster internet connections and start buying movies digitally, but it's not going to replace Blu-ray soon.
And if you consider that there's STILL music albums being released on CD's whenever MP3 players are...
I don't even want to see a PS4 released until at least 4 years from now... the fact that this generation is so costly, a new next gen console released within 5 years from the launch date of the PS3/360 is just too soon to me.
Both the 360 and PS3 offer amazing graphics, and I think that next-gen will have to offer something a lot more than just slightly prettier graphics, because if not, it's going to be very hard to convince people to make the jump initially, and that's why I do...
I guess the thing about Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST is that they both sacrifice the HD Resolution for Gameplay. ODST could have probably been at 720p if Bungie wanted, but if so, the game might not support the same amount of multiplayer options.
Either way, I'm not really surprised by this because it's probably using the same Halo 3 engine, but at the same time considering other shooters that have came out and have set the bar visually after Halo 3, I think a lot of people were expec...
Zune Video on Xbox Live isn't finishing anything and this service will pretty much be relevant to Xbox consumers. Sony themselves already have HDTV's that have built in Netflix Movie Streaming capabilities, so it's not like this is anything new and Blu-ray definantly isn't going anywhere for a long time... I don't know why so many people just can't except the fact that Blu-ray is here to stay.
After reading the article it seems like the movie quality/experience itself for this se...
MAG can support up to 256 players, and it's an MMO so I think that Zipper obviously knew that the visuals weren't going to be on something like a Killzone 2 level. And besides, most Massively Multiplayer Online games aren't really known for super amazing graphics.
As far as MAG being delayed, Sony hasn't confirmed anything about the release date and it being delayed, and At E3 it was announced to be coming out this FALL during the Sony Press Conference. Recently the European Box ...
Both of Team ICO's games and the Metal Gear Solid series have been the main games that I had connected to emotionally the most. There have been other games like Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, and many others where I really got connected with the characters in the game, but definantly not as much as ICO, SoTC, and MGS.
And it really just depends on the game itself to me... some games are REALLY good at connecting you to the characters and story, while some other games just aren't as g...
Wow...I really didn't think that the graphics in Uncharted 2 could get a lot better compared to Original, but the NaughtyGods have done it again! Hope there's a Collectors Edition with Behind the Scenes footage and more, because I will definantly buy it.
I have no idea what Eidos plans on doing with the Tomb Raider franchise, but they really need to step it up a few notches because Uncharted has set the bar WAYYY high.
Sony said they are targeting to sell 13 million PS3's within their new fiscal year at E3 and there's NO WAY they will meet that if the PS3 remains at $399, so a cheaper PS3 WILL be coming if they want to meet their sales target.
After all of the E3 leaks, does anyone actually think that Sony is going to hint at a price cut? There's no way in hell any Sony rep. is going to even HINT at a PS3 price reduction until the last minute.
Regardless of Tretton and Stringer sho...
"10. The Last Remnant (PS3) - Square Enix"
LMAO!! It's just so funny that Japanese gamers still haven't forgotten about this game and it's still a pretty anticipated title after all this time. If Square released it on the PS3 in Japan, I don't see why it wouldn't sell an additional 400-500K over there because it sold like 200K+ on the 360 in Japanese sales.
There's really no need for Square to even release The Last Remnant for the PS3 in the West at this po...
I bought Dead Space the first day it came out and totally loved it. I was never into the Survival Horror genre, but Dead Space got me hooked... also it was a pretty lengthy game not to be an RPG... it took me around 15 hours to beat it on Normal Difficulty.
I'm still one of those small amount of people that will pay $60 bucks for a Single Player game, because I personally enjoy Single Player the most, but I'll only pay $60 bucks for a Single Player games that get me really excit...
When I first bought my PS3, I didn't have any intentions of ever buying Blu-ray DVD's, but about 6 months after I got my first HDTV, I started buying all my movies only on Blu-ray and been enjoying it ever since.
... And I don't know how, but Blu-ray turned me into somewhat of a Movie enthusiast, because I used to only buy about 3 or 4 standard DVD's a Year, and I rarely bought movies period, but since getting into Blu-ray last Summer, I've averaged about 2 Blu-ray DVD's a month....
"or maybe cause it was sold as a broke man's blu ray player?"
Consoles now-a-days are used for much more than just gaming. I mean, I'm pretty sure a lot of people used their PS2's for watching DVD's because I sure did, so what's wrong with using the PS3 to watch Blu-ray DVD's if you've got an HDTV... NOTHING.
The funny thing is that if the Xbox 360 had a built in Blu-ray drive like the PS3, you wouldn't be saying SH*T.
I'm looking forward to both The Last Guardian and Agent, but they definantly aren't coming out this year and haven't even been dated, so I don't see why they were in this list.
As far as GT5 goes, everyone including me wants a 2009 release and a 2009 release for it isn't as unrealistic as some seem to think, especially when Kazunori said that GT5 can pretty much be released at any time now... but the most realistic release for it to me is Japan Holiday 2009 with Western releases in ...
inFamous definantly wasn't perfect, but for me it's gameplay made up for it's short comings. I'm not gonna lie, the game probably could have been delayed another month or two to polish it up a bit more, but in the state that it's in now, I say it's pretty darn good.
I was surprised that inFamous was received so positively by so many big gaming sites and outscored Prototype in reviews because I thought Prototype would have been superior in reviews initially.... inFamous definantly...
