Quantic Dream is like the European version of Team ICO to me.... always making different/unique type of games. I think their partnership with Sony is the perfect fit, because Sony isn't afraid to take risks when it comes to new IP's.
The amount of detail in this game is just insane... the last game I've played that had facial animations even remotely close to this is Heavenly Sword, but this just exceeds it.

If the 360 had only sold 0.1 Million more than the PS3 during the first half of 2009 and it's cheapest console was HALF the price as the cheapest PS3, I have a pretty good feeling that the PS3 has a good chance of selling more Worldwide than the 360 for the last half of this year, especially with Final Fantasy XIII hitting Japan this Holiday.... and if GT5 does come out in 09', there's no doubt in my mind it'll sell more.

Now that all of the numerous, never-ending PS3 price cut rumors are finally over, people are jumping all over the PS3. It's possible that the price cut rumors may have hindered PS3 sales for the past couple of months, but I think it was just FREE advertising for Sony, and by the time the price cut happened, a TON of people were already expecting it.
I almost can't believe that the cheapest PS3 is just $50 bucks more than the Wii now....just crazy.
I'm sick of these U.S. based websites acting like America is the only country were console sales exist. Europe is the PS3's biggest territory, but they continue to pretend that the U.S. market is the only place that matters for the PS3.
People like this in the industry were crying for a PS3 price cut, and now that it's gotten one, they find something else to complain about, and anyone who doesn't think that a $299 PS3 isn't going to have an impact all the way up until the Holiday...
The 200,000 number only applies to U.S. sales, but with Europe being the PS3's biggest territory with 10 million PS3's sold in EU (according to Sony's GamesCom figures), Europe wlll probably see the biggest increase of them all on a monthly basis.... I just wish there was a Monthly Console Sales tracking system in EU like NPD in America.

Even though these Gundam games don't have a reputation for being good games when it comes to reviews, they always seem to sell pretty good in Japan.
A PS3 Slim Bundled with Final Fantasy XIII in Japan or GT5 this Holiday... now that would be Epic.
I know a lot of PS3 owners are still waiting on Gaming related updates like Cross Chat, etc..., but I'm most excited about the Animated Themes in this update and can't wait to see what other ones are made available.... I want some God of War, Gran Turismo or Uncharted 2 Animated themes running the background of my XMB, and I'll gladly pay for them.

This is one of the reasons why I'm glad I was an early PS3 adopter.... even though I had to pay a premuim price for a launch 60GB PS3, BC has always been important to me, and I still play some PS2 games (and occassionally PS1 games) on my PS3 from time to time.
It's a lot more convenient to just be able to play your entire PS1, PS2, and PS3 game library on one console, but anyone even remotely interested in a PS3 should already have a PS2 anyways, so the PS3 not having BC shouldn...
First the media was complaining/crying about the PS3 needing a price cut and "lagging" PS3 sales, and now that the PS3 has got a price cut, even before a DAY has gone by, they are already shooting it down... but then again, this shouldn't be a surprise the media has always been down Sony's throat this gen. just because Sony isn't in the lead.

Out of all the Gods that I know are in GOW3, Hades is the guy I'm looking forward to fighting the most (even more than Zeus). I guess I'm interested in fighting him more because, Hades can literally pull Souls out of people with his blades/hooks, and I can't wait to see how his ability to strip away a persons soul from their body will play out in the battle.

The character models and graphical detail in this game is just amazing, and it's my favorite Heavy Rain trailer by far....seeing this trailer makes me want to find out even more about the story in the game. A 16GB Ipod Touch is $299, and since the PSP Go will have 16GB of built in space too, in addition to some of the same features as the Ipod Touch, I think $249 is a pretty good price whenever you compare those 2 devices side by side.

I still love the design of my 60GB PS3 and the glossy black finish a lot more, but the PS3 Slim looks "alright".
Sony is supposed to be bringing out Red and Blue Dualshock 3 controllers in September or October, and I hope they bring out a PS3 Slim in matching colors... usually I prefer Black elecronics, but for some reason I think a Deep Red or Dark Blue PS3 Slim would look a lot better than Matte Black version.
The PS3 Slim doesn't quite have the same sexiness that the current PS3 has, but I have my launch 60GB PS3, so I don't really have a big problem with how the Slim looks and I'm still getting myself a PS3 Slim regardless.

Well, it looks like I'll be getting a second PS3. I've never owned a Slimmed down version of a Playstation console (I've only owned the Original versions) so I'm pretty excited about it.
If Microsoft is still going to sell the Elite 360 for $299, they need to throw in the overpriced Wifi adapter for free or something, because I'm pretty sure that all PS3 Slim models will have it standard.

I remember last year, David Reeves mentioned the PS3 had surpassed the 360's lead in Europe, but after Microsoft did a second price cut in Europe during 2008, I was under the impression the 360 regained the lead in EU because there was articles in late 08' about the 360 outselling the PS3 in areas where the PS3 typically sold better.... either the PS3 never lost the lead or it creeped it's way past the 360 again.
Whenever GT5 comes out, it will defiantly add to that 10 million PS...
It looks like More and more signs are pointing towards a December release for GT5 if it's really playable at GamesCom (or at the Tokyo Game Show) just like recent rumors have been saying.
Sony probably could have brought GT5 to E3, because Kazunori said in June that they could release it at "anytime", so it obviously has been in playable form for a while, but E3 was all about GT on PSP. The only thing I need now is a release date and I'm all set.
Swapping out a Disc really isn't a big deal, but I would still prefer to have all of my games this gen. on ONE disc regardless.
