I think Turn 10 is just trying to hype up their game with all the talk they've been doing lately. They really need to learn some respect though, because Gran Turismo is like a Legend in the gaming industry, regardless of what Turn 10 thinks of the franchise.
Honestly I just think Turn 10 is envious of Polyphony Digital's immense success with GT on Playstation. I'm sure Forza is great and all, but GT still holds the crown when it comes to status and pure Simulation Racing.

A PS3 price cut is probably most definantly coming in several months, it's just a matter of when. It would be silly for Sony to even HINT at a PS3 price cut because that would only hinder sales (all the PS3 price cut talk has probably already hindered sales)...after all of the leaks about Sony's press conference before E3, I'm pretty sure they'll deny a price cut until the day it happens.
Sony is projecting to sell 13 million PS3's, and there's no way Sony is going to meet that at t...
At first I was happy the trailer was leaked because as a fan of Team ICO's games, I was just DYING for some sort of footage/info on TeamICO's next game for YEARS, and I didn't think that the trailer Sev leaked would have been almost identical to the one that Sony showed at E3, so I didn't think that the leak would spoil any surprise.
Once the trailer at E3 started and it was the same trailer, I was a little disappointed because it spoiled the surprise. I remember Sev. wrote this ...
"... now with Uncharted 2 and God of War 3, it's the PS3 that's maxed out."
Sorry, but neither Uncharted 2 or God of War 3 will "max out" the PS3.
If Guerrilla said that they believed they could get more out of the PS3 after Killzone 2, then obviously there's a LOT more to come.
Like I said in my other comment below, if there's just one game to push the PS3 to a new level, The Last Guardian is the game to do it, and only people that h...
The PS3 is far from being "Maxed Out" and there's plenty of optimizations that can be made. If Guerrilla said that they could get more out of the PS3 after the release of Killzone 2, then there's plenty of juice left in the PS3.
Lately I've been seeing more statements on the 360's limits from developers than the PS3's limits though.
If there's just ONE game to push the PS3 to new limits, TeamICO's game The Last Guardian is the game to do it, and anyone tha...
Since the trailer was FINALLY publically unveiled, I have a good feeling that TeamICO will be at the Tokyo Game Show, and I can't wait to find out more out this game. Both ICO and SoTC are amazing classics in my colletion, and I have faith in them to deliver yet another groundbreaking game.
I have no idea what this game is about, but judging from the trailer, it seems like it'll be combining elements from both ICO and SoTC. I think you'll probably have to free that creature from ...
I'm sorry, but this article is just lame. Kojima's and Sony's relationship is fragile whenever Kojima is bringing the MGS game that HE is directing (MGS: Peace Walker) exclusively to the PSP? I don't think so.
MGS: Rising had most likely always been planned to released for both the 360 and PS3, and when M$ found out about it, they probably invited Kojima to announce it at their conference just to make people think that it was going to be only on the 360 first when in fact it was...
"Conviction will come to the PS3 around the same time MGS4 makes its way to the 360. "
Sorry, but at this point, if MGS4 hasn't been announced for the 360 yet, it's NEVER going to happen. There's just WAYY to many PS3 references in MGS4 for it to be thought to be released elsewhere in my opinion, and Kojima's team have moved onto other products. MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive and will stay that way FOREVER.
In terms of Splinter Cell Conviction exclusivity, I DO ex...
I've never said that I was against the game just because Kojima wasn't directing it, and I never had any doubt that it wasn't coming to the PS3.
Since Kojima is directing MGS: Peace Walker, in a way Peace Walker is more of a "True Metal Gear Solid game" because it's an actual sequel directed by the MGS creator himself, and if you've played previous MGS games, you can always tell when an MGS game has Kojima's touch to it.... but regardless of MGS: Rising being multiplatf...
Well I certainly NEVER had any doubt that MGS: Rising wasn't coming to the PS3 because there's just NO WAY Konami would just leave the 4.5+ million people that bought MGS4 out in the cold, and most of all I doubt that Kojima would allow a MGS game not to be released on a Playstation console.
Even though MGS: Rising is still coming out on the PS3, at the same time I just hate the fact that it's multiplatform because I highly doubt that MGS: Rising will be on the same level as MGS4...
Microsoft had a good conference, but I really think that the Final Fantasy 14 announcement (even though it could come to the 360) was the Megaton of the entire E3 and really shook up the building. Regardless if FF14 is a MMO or not, it's still a Final Fantasy game that was announced to be console exclusive to the PS3 (in addition to PC), and nobody saw that coming.
The Rockstar Exclusive, The Last Guardian, MGS: Peace Walker, God of War 3 and Uncharted 2 were the main centerpieces o...
Apple sells the 16GB Ipod Touch for $299, and considering the PSP Go can do almost everything that the Ipod Touch can do and has the same amount of storage capacity, it's not really a bad deal if you look at it that way.
I've held out on buying a PSP, but I'm definantly getting the PSP Go this Fall, there's just no way around it, because I MUST play MGS: Peace Walker, especially since it's an actual sequel to MGS3 and Kojima will be deeply involved with it, in addition to GT: Mob...
I've got just ONE Uncharted 2 Beta Code with InFamous and I won't be using it (I want to wait until the final game comes out to play Uncharted 2). Anyone that wants one, just PM me. The first person to PM will get it. ;)
Glad to see GT5 at E3. Hopefully there's some more new info on it and maybe a Release Date at Toyko Game Show!
GT5 is looking like it's combining even MORE Racing types into the game. Polyphony Digital can release this when it's ready (hopefully in 2010) because a game of this magnitude just can't be rushed out every 2 and a half-3 years.
I was surprised that GT Mobile had gotten a Fall 2009 release, so GT5 is probably most likely coming some time next year.
I don't think this game will be Exclusive... it might be timed exclusive like MGS2: Substance, but I just don't see Konami totally ignoring the 4.5+ million people that bought MGS4 on the PS3 where the majority of the Metal Gear Solid fanbase resides.
On the Konami teaser site, there was also an image of Big Boss in addition to Raiden... so obviously there's another MGS game yet to be revealed. A PSP MGS game has already been confirmed from a leak earlier, and that same game coul...
Of course it coming to the PS3. How in the world is Konami just going to ignore the 4.5+ million people that bought MGS4? By now I hope Konami has realized that the Playstation platform is where the REAL MGS fans are, not on Xbox. Sure, there's been MGS games released on other platforms, but Metal Gear Solid has ALWAYS had the most success on Playstation, ALWAYS.
The only way I could see this game being exclusive is if Microsoft actually paid for it, and since neither Microsoft o...
Sure Omega, Microsoft only has one console and they'll be using up 90+ minutes, but I wouldn't be surprised if M$ used a small chunk of that time on the Zune HD, especially if it's supposedly going to be M$'s entry in the handheld gaming market like rumors have been pointing to.
Happyface,
Say what you want about Forza 3's features, but Gran Turismo is one of the biggest Racing Sim's of all time, and GT has always been about delivering the premiere Driving Experience.
And who knows, maybe GT5 will have just as many features as Forza 3, but even if it doesn't, it still will sell more (I sure will be buying it day one) and pretty much it's the main Racing Sim that many racing fans across the globs have been waiting for, not Forza 3 and it's fe...
Damn.... GT5 Prologue (a glorified demo) has sold almost the same as Forza 2 with a 22+ Million installbase on the PS3. If GT5P can sell over 3 million, now creeping it's way to 4 million, the full game should definantly sell over double that.
Just really hoping that Sony confirms a release date for GT5 and/or GT Mobile at E3.
I've always considered Rated T games to be pretty much the exact same as PG-13 movies.... they both can have literally every single curse word in them, but pretty much the only thing separating them from being rated M (or rated R for a movie) is stuff like: very intense violence, gore, and nudity.
I like my action movies and games as uncensored as possible, but there are times when some of the cursing in games gets to the point where it's used so much and it's just unnecessary......
