What I want the most is a Gran Turismo 5 Release date ( pretty likely, especially with a few concrete rumors floating around about GT5 in 2009), more MGS Peace Walker info/new trailer (guaranteed), and more Last Guardian info/ new trailer and I'll be completely satisfied... anything other than that is just a bonus for me.
Games this gen. just take longer to develop... Rockstar can't just churn out GTA games as fast as they did like last gen. (GTA3- 2001, Vice City- 2002, San Andreas- 2004) I'm not expecting another GTA until 2011 or 2012.
For me personally, the GTA series is getting a little stale because I'm just getting a little tired of the Miami (Vice City), New York (GTA3, GTA4), and California (San Andreas) type of locations in the current GTA games.
If Rockstar took the next GT...
"I've never seen any playable, in-game GT5 Nascar footage - have you?"
Ummm... No I haven't seen any playabe in-game GT5 Nascar footage, but Gran Turismo 5 HAS been playable before (GamesCom), and I'm pretty sure Polyphony Digital will have a GT5 blowout at the Tokyo Game Show next week.
Edit: " What if Sony doesn't announce a release date this week? Then what, keep waiting until the next event?"
Soxfan, at E3 Polphony have said that...
Yeah I know Sunny, "I did not Murder Him" is as delusional as they come. Both games look great, but GT5 is clearly the winner in the graphical department.
"I'm betting there is a reason why Sony/Poly have not shown the game in detail as of yet except in low quality offscreen videos or pics."
What the hell are you talking about "I did not murder him"? Gran Turismo 5 was PLAYABLE at GamesCom last month, and I'm pretty sure it'll be playable at TGS next week, in addition to possible release date.
I think Uncharted 2 and Modern Warefare 2 probably have the best chances of winning more than one GOTY award.... Modern Warefare 2 won't be a substantial leap in terms of gameplay/graphics over COD4, so that's one reason why I can see it might not get as many GOTY awards as people are expecting.
Every site has their own GOTY, so it's kind of pointless to say "Uncharted 2 To Be Game Of The Year?" and instead, I think people should be contemplating on which game they thin...
Ha ha! It seems like they are grasping at straws at this point. inFamous came out way back in May, and now all of a sudden they want to say that it's disappointing? What took em' so long? If they were going to bash inFamous, they came a little late.
inFamous was recieved more positively than Prototype was (85 vs 79 on Metacritic), and it won the battle of the better Open World action game with critics, so it can't be that disappointing. I bought it when it came out and loved it. ...
"Never heard of it."
I'm not trying to defend Halo or anything, but MEGamers.com review scores are included in Metacritic... and I have to admit, I wasn't that familiar with them either until early this year though, but I think they give pretty fair reviews the majority of the time, and they were one of the first to come out with an Killzone 2 review Online:

If MGS: Rising is already Multiplatform for the PC, 360, and PS3, but isn't coming to the Wii, why would a future MGS title like MGS5 be a Wii exclusive? The chances of that happening are very slim to me.
I think that a Port of MGS: Peace Walker from the PSP to the Wii is possible and from a business/financial standpoint, it would be a LOT less risky but I just don't see Konami taking the risk of releasing something like MGS5 exclusively on the Wii.
I don't really li...
@bmw69,
No you are wrong, the 4.75 Million is for Metal Gear Solid 4's sales alone and Konami has said that themselves, not all of the PSP Games, PS2 Collection, and MGS3 combined.
If all the sales were combined for the "Metal Gear Series" it would be no less than double of 4.75 million because MGS3 sold over 3 million, and then there's the MGS games on the PSP, MGS2, MGS1, etc...
The Download sales for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue STILL count, and...
The numbers on VG Chartz aren't even accurate.
They have Metal Gear Solid 4 at 4.20 Million, but it has sold over 4.75 Million since May this year and is probably very close to 5 Million now: http://www1.psu.com/MGS4-sa...
And they have GT5 Prologue at 3.13 Million, but it's sold about 4 Million copies:
Gran Turismo 5 will be the best selling PS3 exclusive this gen. because GT has always been the top selling Playstation 1st party title each generation, and it'll be the first PS3 exclusive to surpass 5 Million unless MGS4 hits the 5 Million mark before ...
The main protagonist in the PS3 version looks like a character that would appear in a JRPG, but Neir in the 360 version looks like this really beefed up guy... and I have to admit, I kinda like the idea of developing separate versions of this game... it's like it gives each version it's own personality.
So far, the game looks kind of average to me, and after doing a little research, this game will be the FIRST game that these developers (Cavia) have made for the PS3. At first I t...
I agree with most of these games on the list, especially Z.O.E, Jak/Sly/Ratchet, and definitely ICO/SoTC, but Metal Gear Solid definitely deserves a mention.
I would totally love for MGS2 and MGS3 to be Re-Mastered in HD with Trophies just like God of War, and I'd buy them both again in a heart beat. Boss Battles with The End and The Boss in HD = EPIC.
SquareEnix didn't sound like they were very enthused when they responded to the Re-Mastering of PS2 games (not surp...
Over 200,000 PS3's sold in 2 weeks in Japan since the Slim... whew! Numbers like this definitely silence people who think "Japanese sales don't matter".
There are some good games on this list, but they left out too many other notable games...it's almost as if they were trying to promote several lesser talked about games on the Web lately...
To be honest, about 4 or 5 of the stuff listed are games I think that will be "Sleeper Hits", like Borderlands, Dragon Age Origins, and Brutal Legends and they didn't even list ONE single PS3 or Xbox 360 Exclusive.
NewYorkTimes should stick to reporting on News, stay the...
The main people who I think will be going after this 250GB Xbox 360 Modern Warefare 2 bundle are people who already own an Xbox 360 that mainly want it just for the sake of owning the Limited Edition 360 Modern Warefare 2 console.
Most people that are remotely interested in Modern Warefare 2 probably already owns a 360, so I don't really expect this bundle to spark a lot of first time 360 buyers, especially at this price, but it's a pretty cool bundle nonetheless.
If the 250GB Hard drive could be bought separately, I wonder how much it would cost?... The 120GB 360 Hard drive retails for $149, but Amazon sells it for $134... so I guess a 250GB 360 HDD would be around $200 bucks minimum, so no big surprise to me they aren't going to sell it separately because only a small handful of people would probably even buy it at that price.
I have no idea how much those Proprietary 360 Hard drives cost to manufacture, but M$ really needs to drop the p...
Resistance 2 overhyped? I don't even remember there being much hype for Resistance 2 at all, and I don't remember any "Halo Killer" taglines for R2 either... Haze (and KZ2) were hyped to be "Halo Killer", but R2 definitely wasn't.
LBP got a lot of hype, but I think it got the hype for a pretty good reason because it was a very different title compared to everything else released so far this gen.
GTA4 and Haze are definitely one of the most overhyp...
*Sigh*....For once I'd just like to see Sony go into a Game Convention WITHOUT tons of hype and just deliver on whatever they have planned, because I'm almost certain that IF several of the things mentioned in this article don't happen or if this writer isn't totally blown away by Sony's announcements, there'll be a "Sony Underwhelms at TGS" article the following week.
I'm VERY anxious to see what Sony's unannounced games are, and Sony will more than likely have the big...
