If you ask me, Microsoft needs to drop the price on that Xbox 360 Elite by at least $100 bucks. The Xbox 360 Elite isn't worth $449.99, I mean come on, the Elite doesn't even have built in Wifi, the least that Microsoft could do is start bundling every 360 model with the Xbox 360 Wifi adapter or something. The 40GB PS3 has Wifi AND Blu-ray for $399.99. The Xbox 360 Elite should be cheaper than the 40GB PS3, period.
But, if Microsoft is going to continue selling the Arcade at $...
As more and more developers get used to the PS3's tech., it will only benefit the Playstation 3 in the long run.
As the PS3's Install Base grows, I honestly think that there could be more 3rd party PS3 exclusives in the works, because developers know that they can make bigger and better games ONLY on the Playstation 3, and because developers know that with the PS3, they aren't limited by a DVD-9 and they don't have to hold anything back.
Developers will be hittin...
Microsoft needs to show off some new IP's and games that have been quiet for a while.
For Microsoft to have a somewhat successful E3 showing, this is what I think needs to happen:
-Something from Splinter Cell Conviction MUST be shown.
- They announce and show off 1- 2 new IP's with trailers
- They MUST show Alan Wake
I wouldn't say that video games are getting harder, because I remember playing games back in the SNES days and some of those games were the hardest I've ever played because of not very frequent game saves. In games today, we can save a game whenever we want and start playing from the same place we left off the next day.
Some of those old school games required you to beat 2, 3, or 4 levels before you were able to save the game, and if you didn't get to the save spot and you los...
Well, Final Fantasy XIII should be the number one priority right anyways. When Final Fantasy XIII is released, it's going to blow away every other RPG that's been released this gen. like a F-5 tornado because there's just NO RPG that's bigger than Final Fantasy, NONE.
When MGS4 was released, the PS3 sold 80,000+ units in one week in Japan, when FFXIII is released, I wouldn't be surprised if 200,000+ PS3's could sold in the first week of the intial launch of FFXIII in Japan.
The way that I see it, PS3 sales have been steadily climbing, while 360 sales have pretty much stayed the same in the past few months.
If Microsoft was actually trying to be a threat to Sony, they should have dropped the Arcade 360 to $249.99... but in complete honesty, Microsoft needs to stop being so cheap and stop selling the Arcade because it has NO HARD DRIVE. If Microsoft has been talking all about "Digital Downloads", how the heck is someone going to download l...
I doubt that I will even be getting Saints Row 2 at all. In October I'll be getting LittleBigPlanet and possibly SOCOM. The main reason why I'm not picking up Saints Row 2 is that I didn't play the first one because it was on the 360.
If Capcom did a 3-D Megaman X remake on the PS3 and 360, I would be ALL OVER it.
The early Megaman titles were great, but I think that some of the best Megaman games started with Megaman X.
I have to admit that I totally forgot about the Factor 5 developing studio. Hopefully their next game is a new IP.
I know that this might sound dumb, but I think that it might be possible for Factor 5 to do a Lair 2 and here is what they could put in the game to make it WAY better than Lair and possibly be a hit:
- They should make it so you can get off of your dragon and fight other guys on the ground in hand to hand combat and with swords and other weapons.

To me, it doesn't make sense to say that Sony is "Throwing in the towel on winning the console war", just because they aren't trying to do what Microsoft is doing by cutting their price.
Microsoft dropped the price of the 360 in Europe earlier this year and Sony did nothing to the prices of the PS3, yet the PS3 still outsells it.
Sony knows that they've been loosing money on the PS3 and they are just starting to recover from it.
I will ad...
I wouldn't say that Sony is "throwing in the towel on winning the console war" because the PS3 has a very long lifecycle to live out, but I guess that Sony has already lost enough money off of the PS3 and they just don't want to loose anymore money.
Sony shouldn't even pay Microsoft any attention because people that want a PS3 are going to buy one even if it costs more money, and it's already been proven that people are willing to spend more for a PS3 because the PS3 h...
I watched the topless version and I think I liked the version where she was wearing the bikini a little bit more. I took a look at zootoday.com and damn, all the girls are hot.
If Final Fantasy versus XIII isn't ready to be shown, hopefully they'll show off some new Final Fantasy XIII gameplay and a new trailer because I know that it's been a long time in the making.
And who knows, maybe SquareEnix will surprise everyone and arrive at E3 and show something new in regards to FFXIII, but if not, at least we can count on it being shown next month.
The only game that I don't own out of those games is Warhawk. I would have bought Warhawk when it first came out but it was Online/Multiplayer only with no Single Player or Campaign mode so I didn't buy it, so I probably wont be buying Warhawk at the lower price point. But, I definantly think that it's about time Sony introduced the Greatest Hits line of games.
Uncharted and Rachet hasn't been out as long as Resistance, Motorstorm, and Warhawk.... Uncharted has only been out for around 8 months and Rachet hasn't been out for a year yet either. I'm thinking that Uncharted and Rachet along with Heavenly Sword will become Greatest Hits titles sometime in late 2008- early 2009.
I hope that Atari can clean up the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark because if they don't plan on making some MAJOR changes to the PS3 version, they shouldn't even release it for the PS3 if you ask me.
It's a shame that a game that had such high hopes ended up failing. If the PS3 version ends up better, I might consider buying it.
.... I wish that a gaming site could interview Phil Harrison or some of the developers at Eden Games and ask them "What the heck wen...
Well, this is a nice attempt from Atari, but Polyphony Digital makes the best Simulation Racing games and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue looks WAY better than those screeshots and I even think that Forza 2 may even look a "little" better than those screenshots.
Was that supposed to be something like God of War or something? God of War Chains of Olympus owns this game. And how in the world could you play a game like this on a Iphone with a touch screen and no buttons, directional pad or analog stick?
To run I guess you could run your finger across the screen but what about attacking? Would you tap the screen? Anyways, I don't see how a game like this could be pulled off right without a directional pad and buttons.
Well, the Xbox 360 will most likely be in the middle of it's lifecycle this Fall, so I'm not surprised if this news does indeed turn out to be true. After the Original Xbox, I think that Microsoft knew that they wouldn't be competitive against Sony or Nintendo if they released the Xbox 360 the same year, so they want to start getting a year head start with their newer consoles.
I really don't care if Left 4 Dead comes to the PS3 or not because I've seen some Left 4 Dead gameplay and I'm not impressed at all. I'd take Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 anyday, but if it does come to the PS3, I might buy it. But if Left 4 Dead is just going to be another crappy port like the Orange Box, then it shouldn't be released on the PS3 if the developers aren't going to take the time and do it right.
Time is running out Microsoft, it's time for you guys to make more you...
