Since FFXIII isn't recieving a worldwide release, I think that it's probably safe to assume that the PS3 version of FFXIII will come out first in the U.S. and Europe since the PS3 version has already been in development for YEARS and because the 360 development most likely hasn't even started yet, and then the 360 version of FFXIII will come out whenever it's ready to be released.
Since FFXIII isn't recieving a worldwide release, I don't think that SquareEnix will push back the...
I guess that SquareEnix didn't realize that even though the PS3's install base is lower than the 360's in English speaking territories, people would be buying PS3's by the thousands once FFXIII was released on the PS3 and would be buying FFXIII along with the PS3's, but it was pretty obvious that this was a very recent decision from SquareEnix because nobody saw it coming.
People need to stop saying that they feel betrayed by Sony just because FFXIII ended up on the 360 because...
Final Fantasy XIII has already been in development on the PS3 for years, so I doubt that SquareEnix is going to dub down the PS3 version just because they are now making a 360 version.
As far as we know, SquareEnix probably hasn't even started development on the 360 version of FFXIII yet and are working to finish the PS3 version first and then will release the 360 version sometime down the road... maybe 6 months- 1 year after the PS3 version is released, who knows.
Microsoft's lack of 1st party exclusive titles shown at E3 is just a clear indicator of their biggest weakness.
I was expecting to see Alan Wake or Halo Wars AT LEAST, but Microsoft didn't even show off new Xbox 360 Exclusives for 2009.
If it wasn't for the FFXIII on 360 announcement, Microsoft's conference at E3 wouldn't have been anything special. The Nexflix announcements and Xbox Live re-vamp announcement's were O.k., but Microsoft needs more 1st party exclus...
If the 360 is going to start having game installations, Microsoft needs to stop being so damn cheap and stop selling that stripped down Xbox 360 Arcade with no freaking hard drive.
How the heck has Sony officially lost the console war just because FFXIII has gone multiplatform?
You haven't even seen Sony's press conference yet and you are already jumping to conclusions. Sony has 3 hours tommorrow to drop some BOMBS, so I wouldn't be jumping to conclusions just yet.
Where was Alan Wake, where was Splinter Cell Conviction, where was Halo Wars? Those games were potentially the 360's biggest games for 2009 and they didn't even show up.
Well, I'm going to IGN tommorrow because I got choppy feed with g4tv and when I went to Gamespot like 10 minutes before Microsoft's conference the site wouldn't even come up.
I'm thinking that Gamespot might not be as packed as today because the majority of Gamespot fans are probably Xbox 360 fanboys for obvious reasons and it's not like most of them really care about Sony's Press Conference, but I just can't wait for 3 HOURS of Sony goodness. It's obvious that Sony has more to...
Don Mattrick is a joke and so was Microsoft's E3 conference. The ONLY highlight of the E3 conference on Microsoft's side was FFXIII and that was IT.
And almost ALL of what Microsoft was "pushing" was 3rd party and hardly any talk of 1st party at all.
Microsoft didn't show Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction wasn't there at Microsoft's conference, and Microsoft didn't announce 1st party games for 2009, almost everything was 3rd party. I was almost surpr...
Wow. I almost couldn't beleive it.
Well, this is a major loss for the PS3, but I guess that SquareEnix must have came to this decision for finicial reasons, or Microsoft just paid up. I thought that FFXIII on the 360 had no chance of happening at all, and now that FFXIII is coming to the 360, I hate to say it, but I guess MGS4 could be next.
He said that FFXIII is coming to the 360, but what about FF versus XIII because that's an entirely separate game. And even ...
Wow. This was definantly unexpected!
I hope that Sucker Punch shows this game at E3 as well and gives it a date for 2009 release.
It's just amazing how things can change in just a year. Last year around this time, the PS3 was already being called a failure, but now it's a different story.
Microsoft can lower the price of the 360 all they want, but Microsoft will always have to struggle with the Xbox 360's image that only attracts hardcore gamers.
I'm not sure if Sony plan on dropping the PS3's price this Fall or not, but once the PS3's price drops down to $299.99 in the United States that's...
I honestly don't care too much about Microsoft's conference on Monday, but I will be watching it because they are competition and I've got to see what they are up to.
I wonder when Microsoft will show off new games that are actually published by Microsoft Game Studios... maybe it will happen at E3 this year. The reason why I said that is because I just can't see Microsoft a very viable competitor against the PS3 in the long run if they don't start producing more of their own g...
Just because Halo games have the potential to sell millons upon millions of units, that doesn't make a game great, it just means that lot's of people are Halo fans. Halo 3 sold 8+ million units but it failed to live up to the hype.
Guerrilla Games said they NEVER intended for the first Killzone game to be a Halo killer and they aren't going after Halo with Killzone 2, however, Guerrilla Games said that they were going after COD4 with Killzone 2.
Another game can'...
Well, that was a pretty obvious list because it features some of Microsoft's biggest confirmed games as well as a few of Sony's biggest confirmed games. But, when it comes to Killzone 2 and Resistance 2, I want Killzone 2 more because that new "Killzone 2 Objective Gameplay" video blew me the f*ck away. Hopefully Guerrilla will finally reveal the Multiplayer of Killzone 2 at E3, show some different levels, and show some new weapons.
And I don't think that there is even on...
Another Final Fantasy game aside from XI on the Xbox 360 will only be possible in your dreams, so dream on.
Final Fantasy XIII will require more power than what the entire 360 is even capable of. Just 3 measely cores in the 360 just doesn't cut it.
If MGS4 filled up a 50GB Dual-layer Blu-ray, I can't even imagine how big FFXIII will be and a 360 version of FFXIII would probably come on like, 10 DVD-9's for Christs sake and would be so downscaled it would be just...
If SquareEnix does indeed announce a FFVII remake on the PS3, it could possibly be the biggest announcement of the ENTIRE SHOW.
There's just SO many awesome games and things that could be shown at E3 for the PS3, it makes my head spin just thinking about it: Twisted Metal, Naughty Dog PS3 project, Team ICO PS3 project, FFXIII, GT5, White Knight Chronicles, Dark Cloud 3, Wardevil, Infamous.... wow, it's good to be a PS3 owner right about now.
The MGS4 on 360 statements just never seem to go away even though MGS4 has been confirmed a PS3 exclusive eons ago. It's just funny how so many Xbox 360 fanboys make fun of MGS4 being a "movie" but if they heard that it was coming to the 360, they would be pissing in their pants like little 3 year olds.
It's obvious that they want a PS3 because they had 5 PS3 exclusive games on that list out of 10 games.
MGS4 has done well to have sold 2-3 million copi...
Since all of the other God of War games have been released in March, the March 2009 date sounds possible, but God of War 2 came out in March 2007 and I'm not sure if Sony Santa Montica can pull off their their first PS3 game within just 2 years. I'm thinking that it will take them at least 2 and a half years to complete God of War 3 and a Summer 2009 release sounds more realistic to me, but who knows, if it's a March 2009 release indeed, Sony is going to start off 2009 with a BIG BANG.

I really don't care if Left 4 Dead comes to the PS3 or not because I've seen some Left 4 Dead gameplay and I'm not impressed at all. I'd take Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 anyday, but if it does come to the PS3, I might buy it. But if Left 4 Dead is just going to be another crappy port like the Orange Box, then it shouldn't be released on the PS3 if the developers aren't going to take the time and do it right.
Time is running out Microsoft, it's time for you guys to make more you...
Sony did NOT "f*ck up" just because FFXIII is being released on the 360 too because Sony has already stated that "they don't buy 3rd party exclusives", but I have to admit that FFXIII is one game that Sony should have paid for to remain exclusive... but seeing that Sony is funding so many 1st party projects, they can't go splurging money on any and every game title.
The PS3 still has Versus XIII and it's a PS3 exclusive, and that will give more people even a big...
