Sony has so much stuff that could be shown at E3, it's just crazy. There's just so many games that could be shown that we've known about for a long time, and then there's that secret PS3 game that I'm hoping will be shown at E3 as well. Damn, I can't wait for next week. I'm going to be huddled around my laptop for hours at a time this time next week.
Solid Snake shouldn't be in the list because MGS4 is "Snakes final mission" and even though he doesn't actually "die" in the game, it's the last MGS game with Solid Snake.
Masterchief should be the #1 video game character that needs to die off in my opinion.
I don't think that Mario or Donkey Kong are characters that needs to die off because Mario and Donkey Kong are classics and a Mario or Donkey Kong game every couple of years isn't that bad...
Why wouldn't 360 owners not be buying PS3's? They know that they want MGS4! If there was ever a game to make 360 fanboys into PS3 owners, MGS4 is the game to do it.
The Xbox 360 had so much potential but Microsoft just had to rush it out a year ahead of the competition with hardly any quality control at all. Sony always makes really nice hardware products and basically when you've got anything with the brand name Sony on it you know you've got the best of the best. Microsoft should just stick to software because by the looks of things hardware isn't there speciality.
Honestly I think that the hardware issues with the 360 have scared a lot ...
The video game market is doing pretty good in the U.S. despite the Economic conditions, but I think that the Economic conditions has impacted actual console sales though, but video game software has been selling well.
I think that console sales right now (especially Xbox 360 and PS3 sales) in the U.S. should be substaintially higher than it they have been lately because the Summer season is probably the second biggest time of the year for video games with the Holiday season bei...
I seriously don't see why some games are released in certain regions and other games aren't released in others. But I guess one of the good things about the PS3 is that the games are region free and a lot of people in India already know multiple languages including English, so they could import an American version or a game from some other region even if it costs more money.
I could care less if Hudson doesn't release full games on the PS3, but if they can't afford to develop a full PS3 game then they obviously aren't a major video game company currently. They better just stick to making Wii and DS titles, but a PSN title from Hudson would probably sell.
It's not Sony's fault that they future proofed the PS3.
Almost all of Hudson's games from Last-Gen were Gamecube titles and they might as well just stick to small budget games becaus...
It's obvious that the PS3 saved Blu-ray. Sony knew what they were doing when they installed Blu-ray in the PS3.
If Sony didn't install Blu-ray in the PS3, HD-DVD would have won the format war hands down because HD-DVD was cheaper than Blu-ray. Consumers were much more reluctant to buy a stand alone HD-DVD player and a stand alone Blu-ray DVD player intially, but all Sony had to do was sell PS3's, and they would be selling Blu-ray players and their next-gen gaming consoles at th...
Well, the Hitman movie based off of the Hitman video game series was a pretty good movie and is really one of the few video game based movies that I've seen.
Personally I think that Video Game movies end up failing a lot because there really isn't a lot of well known actors in video game based movies. If Gerard Butler played as Kratos in a God of War movie or if Tom Cruise played as someone in a video game based movie, it would be an instant hit. The majority of big, hot sellin...
I have no interest in buying GRID at all. The only other racing game that I plan on buying for this year is Motorstorm Pacific Rift and maybe that Ferrari PS3 game and as long as most of the upcoming PS3 games have trophies, then it's no big deal for me.
Oh well, if there isn't going to be Kratos in Soul Calibur 4 then I'm not buying the game. I'm not a fan of the Soul Calibur games or fighting games at all and at first I was going to buy Soul Calibur 4 just because Kratos might be in the game, but I guess I'll have to wait until next year to play as Kratos on the PS3.
More Japanese developed Playstation 3 exclusive games are needed to jumpstart the PS3. MGS4 has helped spur PS3 sales in Japan significantly and it's obvious that Japanese gamers ONLY go crazy for games that are developed by Japanese:
Team ICO PS3 Project
Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy versus XIII
White Knight Chronicles
Dark Cloud 3 (possibly)
Price Drop
After all of the above things have taken place, Japan will be PS3 wonder...
I already have the magazine and that hands on preview of Killzone 2 was really nice, and some of the screenshots just look amazing. And there's drivable tanks in the game too, hopefully there will be more vehicles.
I think that Microsoft needs to wake up and realize that price alone isn't going to save them. The 360 is already cheaper than the Wii in various places in Europe, but the Wii outsells the 360 and PS3 outsells the 360 in Europe.
"We’re in this to entertain our users but we’re also in this to make money", It's obvious what Microsoft really cares about.
And I do not think that the Xbox 360 can last 10 years on the market because Microsoft's Xbox 360 wasn't bu...
Well, I've heard differently. I remember reading an article late last year and the majority of video game anaylsts expected that more Wii owners would be more likely to buy Playstation 3's as their next console, but that was just anaylst speculation. But, Sony has always been able to attract Casual gamers pretty naturally without even having to try that hard, and it's very believable that Wii owners might be more likely to buy a PS3 next instead of a 360 because of Sony's history with casual ...
If Microsoft buys Sega.... who cares.
There hasn't been a really notable game title released by Sega in ages. Bayonetta is really the only thing that Sega has going for it right now.
.... I don't even think that I own one single Playstation 1, or PS2 game developed/published by Sega either and I already know that I don't have one single PS3 game developed/published by Sega and I haven't been much of a fan of Sega's games either except for Sonic back in the early ...
I think that the Xbox 360 price drop is more of a move of desperation on Microsoft's part because the PS3 has outsold the 360 almost every month of this year at a higher price point and that's obviously something Microsoft doesn't want.
However, even if the Xbox 360 20GB price does drop to $299.99, you are always going to have people out there that will go out of their way and spend $100 bucks more for a 40GB PS3 because it's something that they want regardless of the higher pr...
I'm still hoping that Team ICO will be at E3 to reveal thier next PS3 project, and if they aren't at E3, hopefully they'll be at the Tokyo Game Show to show of their next masterpiece.
Also, we can't forget about that "Secret PS3 game" and I think that it's supposed to make a showing at E3 too.
And then that last thing that I'm really hoping for is Naughty Dog to announce their next PS3 project. They've had 6-7 months since Uncharted's release to decide ...
Even if the Xbox 360 20GB price ends up being $100 dollars more expensive than the 40GB PS3, the PS3 is still very justifiable because of the Built in WiFi and Built in Blu-ray.
If you buy a Xbox 360 20GB at $299 and buy the Xbox 360 Wifi Adapter add-on that costs around $99 bucks, you are going to end up spending literally the same amount for a 40GB PS3 and you haven't even gotten the Blu-ray with that 20GB Xbox 360, and let's not forget that you have to buy batteries for Xbox...
I'm not too sure what to think of Too Human. I've seen the gameplay footage and really it doesn't really look to impressive. I think that the character animations while attacking enemies in the game look pretty weak, but I think that the whole concept of Too Human had better potential if it was executed properly. The only thing that may end up saving Too Human is the Co-op/Online play, because the reports of the game being just 10-12 hours long have probably already made this game a rent for ...
