Sadly, you're right.
Agreed. For me, there is no console war. I have both a PS3 and Wii; I didn't purchase a 360 because, except for Fable, its exclusives don't interest me. I don't like playing online, so the free online provided by PSN is perfect for me.
I'm glad the 360 is doing well. Its entry into the console market has provided some healthy competition. It just doesn't offer me games and features I want that I can't get on other systems.
As always, p...
I prefer playing single player over multiplayer generally; as long as strong single-player games are made, I'm happy.
There's plenty of room for both play styles in gaming. Thankfully.
Thanks for the chuckle. :)
I hope anyone fortunate enough to get a Kinect early will have the patience to wait for the official release date.
I had a Datasette back in the day, but the c64's disk drive was awesome.
To my understanding, Move had been out in Japan for 4 days, not the full week the chart describes. Whilst the total hardware sales are down for the week, we have no clear data on what percentage of those Playstation console sold were Move bundles, or how many standalone Move packages were made.
This thread is an excellent example of the anti-Sony/pro-Sony camps, actually. Neither side is absent from the thread.
Typing it out doesn't make it true, no matter how much you want it to be.
Here's a great example of just how popular casual gaming can be.
You're saying VGC counts "sold to consumers?"
They don't have access to that data.
They make projections and assumptions, neither of which is the same as a hard count, by the way.
Sony has access to the figures, whether you like those figures or not. And considering they can't lie to shareholders, it's obvious Sony's numbers are more valid than an Internet sites sales projections.
Kinect won't change Move's success, considering the peripherals are for two different consoles. It's not as if PS3-only owners are going to choose Kinect over Move.
Nor will Kinect take away any of the sales Move has already made.
Move is a success. Kinect will most likely be a success as well. The universe won't end because the two co-exist.
Fantastic! I can't wait.
Games are definitely easier nowadays.
The Cheese Bridge from Super Mario World on the SNES is still one of the most difficult levels I've played on a home console.
The 'cabinet' games of the 80's, were brutal. Add to the difficulty the fact that you had to pay a quarter for each game you played, and you had an incentive to try and up your skills. Or you gave up and moved to another game, lol.
I miss the days when an RPG's ...
I haven't watched her show in about 20 years. The amount of media power and influence she has is pretty astonishing. Her Book Club certainly proves that.
Why so angry? People answered the question posed by the title. Or are you angry because you don't agree?
If a woman has to use the Move for that, she needs a new partner. Or at least the Yellow Pages. Specialty shops are much better for that sort of thing. ;-)
Oprah was more like Jerry Springer back before she became so popular. She did plenty of trashy topics back then (late 80's, early 90's) and only claimed a 'moral high ground' later on.
EDIT: The person who disagreed with me must be too young to remember her show when it first started, lol.
I wouldn't go that far. I like video games, and I have never played a GT title. Racing games aren't my cup of tea. ;-)
What a pointless article. Of course, GT5 is still 'relevant.' All games are relevant, provided the platforms to play them on still exist.
Legacy of Kain sister, actually. :) *high fives*
Technical glitches with some of the titles aside, it's one of my favourite game series. The voice acting and writing are exceptional.
It's great to meet another fan of the series. Most of the time, I get the old 'blank stare, mouth breathing' reaction when I mention it.
Agreed. Considering the state of the global economy, it's good to see all 3 companies have been successful building install bases this gen.
