I'll be doing many digital purchases launch day. I have no problem with the launch lineup. There are games I want to play, and that's all that matters to me.
They're not forcing anyone to subscribe to Music Unlimited. I always listen to the in-game music. I do not need any sort of access to different music when I game. Therefore, I don't need to subscribe to MU.
The bickering over pixels is as silly now as it was during the start of the PS3/360 generation. Anyone expecting multiplat games to showcase the strengths of a console are bound to be disappointed, as are those squawking about launch titles not living up to the console's potential. Launch titles never do.
Though I've never played a BF game, I thought the comparison videos looked fine on both the PS4 and XB1. I'm sure the people getting either console will have fun...
Those were the days. And if you had a third friend with a Colecovision, you were set.
And this is why arguing about resolutions is pure BS, regardless of which fanboy camp does it. And both camps have done it. Anyone who claims otherwise is deluding themselves.
Considering I live outside the US, and wouldn't have access to all these TV features, I'm glad the PS4 is a 'plain' games console. That way, I don't have to pay for stuff I can't use.
OT: The integration will be a great add-in feature for those picking up an XB1, though I'm not sure it's a selling point on its own.
The Japanese buy American products. Look at the success of Apple products over there. I'm also pretty sure that a lot of Japanese people use computers that run some version of the Windows OS.
Like everyone else, they prefer to get value for money. If they feel MS doesn't provide it with their game consoles, they won't buy them. If they feel MS does give them their money's worth, they will. It's as simple as that.
Sony didn't leak the data. The network was hacked. There's a difference.
P5 for PS4. Please and thank you.
That would be nice, but then the fanboy arguments will shift to sales numbers.
Why compare SP vs. MP? Wouldn't it make more sense to compare SP to SP, since that would allow for direct comparison? What's wrong with comparing the two SP experiences side-by-side, and then doing the same for MP?
It's like walking into a store and having someone say, "Ma'am, we'd like you to compare the taste of this tomato paste against this spaghetti sauce." Even though both products contain tomatoes, one has a vastly different flavour than t...
Yeah, no. Sorry, MS. I'm not going to pay money for features I can't use or aren't available in my region. Nice try though.
I wouldn't count all those chickens yet. People said the same at the start of last gen with respect to the PS3.
It doesn't actually. I wouldn't mind playing Ryse, but the rest of it? No thanks.
You're correct. Value is subjective. For some of us, not having the camera bundled is a clear advantage. The fact that Kinect comes with the XB1 is the reason I'm not picking one up, since I don't want to pay for something I will never use. Since I don't live in the USA, the TV/Entertainment integration offered by XB1 doesn't apply here, at least not yet.
I'm sure X1 will be a great console for those who see value in it. For me, buying an X1 means wast...
I don't think the earlier release date in NA is as much of an advantage of the PS4 as the lower price point. It's not as if it's releasing a year earlier, but only a few weeks.
@Polow - It's different because Sony has a stable of first-party studios with a history of releasing great exclusives, while MS has stated from the reveal of XB1 that Kinect would be included with the console. Therefore, it's not unreasonable to think that MS will want to focus on releasing games that utilize Kinect to showcase its potential.
Unless I reach a point where I am physically unable to game, or I don't have the money for it, I will always be a gamer. I've been gaming for more than 3 decades, why stop now?
Sure, tastes change. Responsibilities take over much of my time now, but gaming has remained one of my favourite pastimes.
That... sounds like a lot of fun. :)
Makes no difference to me. I'm Canadian.
