Companies make deals with each other all the time. If nothing else, these licensing deals prove that the companies are nowhere near as invested in the fanwars as much as some of those self-styled 'warriors.'
Business is business, and profit is key.
Congrats to MS for posting great launch numbers. What matters most to me is that the strong launches from both prove that console gaming isn't as dead as some have claimed recently.
As console gamers, we all win with a vibrant console marketplace. Both Sony and MS have given a much needed revitalization to the console market.
Yes. XB1 launched in 13 countries today.
I hope you continue to enjoy your XB1. My PS4 should be here next week. It's coming from Amazon Canada, so I'm crossing my fingers that the console will be fine.
What about the "Greatness Awaits?" jab that MS threw Sony's way?
Both companies take swipes at each other.
The only console I've ever placed vertically is my Wii. The rest go horizontal.
Isn't it a 19% difference?
Or, in my case, my system hasn't been delivered yet.
I have no idea why you got disagrees for such a sensible comment. Have a bubble for presenting the sensible perspective.
Mine won't be shipping out until the third week in November. I've never had any hardware problems with my previous Sony consoles, so here's hoping my streak continues with PS4.
Sorry, no. I won't be 'making do' with a free-to-play online battle game that has no narrative, just because it's set in one of my favourite game series settings. I'll replay the LoK series instead.
PS4 is my choice. The Xbox One has nothing that interests me. It's subjective.
@Praxxtor - I am. I didn't buy the PS3 version and opted to wait for the PS4 version instead.
Unfortunately, it all depends on where you live.
Great news for people who are going to own both consoles.
Absolutely fantastic. Thanks, Sony!
The new resurgence of 'point-and-click' games has been a blast. They're some of the most fun I've had gaming in a long time.
I've already been gaming for decades, and I see no reason to stop just because of my age. Things have changed. I don't have as much time to game as I did when I was younger, and I find myself playing more 'casual' titles than involved, intense games nowadays, but I can't see me stopping the hobby unless I became physically or mentally unable to play.
Or simply someone who has enjoyed the games MS has provided them over the past two console generations. Not every person who prefers one console over the other is a fanboy.
This is why making an informed decision based on your own personal preferences is important. My choice is the PS4, because I want a console that is a gaming system first and foremost. I don't need any extra ways to interface with the thing. I don't live in the States, so I won't get access to the same entertainment offerings that XB1 has for Americans. Therefore, for what I need, the PS4 is the best fit.
It doesn't mean I 'hate' MS or XB1. It just mean...
Where is that stat from, farrelljade? I find that sort of info interesting.
