I think Uncharted 3 wanted to refocus on it's roots while still maintaining the fun of Uncharted 2. I see it as a good balance of both.

If I were Roger Ebert and had a passion for movies for 50+ years I would probably feel the Hollywood style implemented into video games as not only an insult to a medium he loves...but maybe he sees it as some kind of threat.
From experience I'd say that Metal Gear Solid is going to stay a PS3 franchise. When Metal Gear Rising was announced, Hideo distanced himself from that title. In Japanese culture, that typically means a form of shame or dishonor. Definitely a form of nonapproval as he has stated that it wasn't a true Metal Gear sequel. That leads to the question why. Why would he distance himself from a title such as Rising?

I think so. I used component video cables on a 27" screen. It didn't look as good as the HD remake but it definately didn't look as bad as the PS2 version in the video. I'd imagine they used the composite cables that came with the PS2. That would be a reasonable reason for that kind of picture.

Face it! You're out of bubbles. I'm not. So here are the facts. This Aliens game is well beyond this generation's memory. The game is 20+ years too late. Have you ever seen that happen with any other great franchise? NO, so stop pretending that a 30 year old franchise is gonna make a comeback. Case closed faster than Ellen Ripley's investigative review board decision.
It tells me that the Alien story is given an underrated heat level. If one were just to check it out they may realize this is THE game to represent one of the best scifi franchise in movie history!

I don't see how the Xbox 360 is considered "winning" this war for the living room. I understand that this is regarding the fight to have an all-in-one box under your television. Yet I don't think Xbox Live is helping matters much.
For gamers Xbox Live is a given and adding extra services like Netflix would be considered an added value to an already great gaming service.

I've been waiting for a movie based Aliens game since Aliens came out on the Commodore 64. A game like this should have been a given a long time ago.
I love Xcom. Can't wait for the Enemy unknown release. I'll play this in the meantime. IT"S FREE!
I'm buying this game for two reasons...
1. For the amount of effort being placed into this game to make it authentic to the Aliens universe.
2. For it being the only game based off the actual Aliens movie (besides Aliens for Commodore 64)
