So midnight for consoles in all regions. PC users get a little bit screwed (~half day for US players at least). No idea why both Dead Space and Forspoken switched the status quo of midnight releases.
How about a title change, "Could the sequel actually be good?"
Gotham Knights was a massive step backward from the Arkham series (IMO as always).
Would it really take until November to sort out trademark issues? And what company doesn't make sure they are cleared trademark-wise way sooner so that this doesn't come up as a surprise? I've been giving these guys the benefit of the doubt but this sounds like a really lame excuse.
I read the first comment and its thread, and I thought to myself "people are really complaining about this?" Then I looked at the likes/dislikes and the comments below and the overall impression seems to be really positive. I agree with you digit_, great surprise out of nowhere. Looks good, I'm definitely going to give it a go.
There's a PC modder called Luke Ross that has shown that most games can be made into couch VR games. His mods are amazing. Some require pretty strong VR legs but that comes the more VR games you play. I don't think Sony will go this route or that developers will put in VR modes in their games, but all I am saying is that Luke has shown that it's possible, and considering he's one guy, the expense isn't even that high.
Ask any matte painter who did work for movies in the 70s and, assuming you are a concept artist, you are a cheater too.
I do sympathize, and I've spent my life working as an artist in film/tv/games, but it's wasted energy to get angry at progress.
I've worked on a number of movies and commercials myself but it's pretty different. What you said applies especially to smaller outsourcing studios who contributed to a movie/commercial and generally not the main studio tackling the game. Since I've also worked on a few game titles (two at least larger in scale and name than Calisto) It doesn't generally apply to employees at the main developer which seems to be the case here (unless you joined very late).

Strange... I would encourage you to keep looking at tutorials and trying different things because I got it working pretty easily, both wired and wireless. PCVR wireless on the Quest 2 is a great experience. Still getting the PSVR2, don't think some people who are complaining realize what they are getting for that price.
Why the disagreements with MrBeatdown's post? You can't disagree with facts and that's all he wrote. Facts.
I played it way after it came out as I hadn't seen it around and man was I surprised. It was a lot of fun in co-op like you said. It's not a souls clone at all. Glad to see the updated art-style, looking forward to it!
Happy to see this at 60fps, even on Series S. I'm currently working on a UE5 title and we're struggling to keep it 30fps at the moment but we haven't implemented 5.1 yet (and we have lots of other optimizations to do). I'm excited about UE5's roadmap. Finally maybe late next year or 2024 we'll start to see what the new machines are really capable of (still annoyed that Series S is a thing).
Hmm, cool talent. Curious how they got them all on board, and why 505 Games have such confidence in INGAME Studios. They are located in the Czech Republic and haven't put out a game as far as I can see. Fairly small studio at 70 people. Sure the cast isn't in its prime but it's a pretty decent cast. Could be very limited appearances... Still, I imagine they don't come that cheap. This video makes the game look ok but nothing mind-blowing. Just first impressions though. Plus re...
I like this quote, "However, those that are not afraid to try something new will be treated to one of the finest-crafted racing titles in recent memory, wrapped just tight enough with a bow on top."
Let go of the past, give this a go. It looks great and is fun to play. I get that some might not like the cartoony stuff, you can turn those effects off if you don't like them (but not the characters obviously). I personally like them but I understand people who do...
Me too. Would be tough considering the PS3 architecture but not impossible. The PC PS3 emulators are getting pretty damn good on high-end hardware though.
PS. I am not saying I think we're still paying for the PS3's mistakes, but I can draw a little parallel with the lack of new-gen exclusives. Not completely Sony's fault, but as much as I love God of War Ragnarrok, it really looks PS4 gen. I would have loved to see what Sony Santa Monica could have done without worrying about the PS4, and the same with Horizon even if that was a better-looking game.
I loved the PS3, the PS4, and my PS5 even though I wish we would have had more than one new-gen exclusive that we've gotten so far, R&C. However, the lies beforehand with "Killzone CGI trailer being real-time" and basically saying the same with Motorstorm were shitty. They both turned out to be good games, but that was shitty. Going with the custom cell architecture was a bad move, as good as that technology was, and allowed the Xbox360 to gain market share. They did execute...
Nostalgia is a powerful influencer...
So the definition of a mascot is that they have to be cartoony and platform characters? Makes little sense to me.
Mascot, Icon, whatever word you want to use, Kratos is definitely part of that Playstation definition. And yeah, Master Chief is one for Xbox for whatever it's worth.
It's weird comparing running the Game of the Year edition running on a modern PC with this mainly console-focused update. Compare it with the PS4 or Xbox One release. I see this happening a lot lately.
I can somewhat see the other argument, for PC players who want to replay the game now, but for anyone who played the game back then on a console or a PC it should at the very least be compared to how the game ran on a PC with the average specs back when it was released. ...
RE4 Remake is not Unreal Engine. It's using their own engine.
Also, you can make great rain in UE. It comes down to the artist and art direction. Gotham Knight had some of the best rain I've seen in a game and it was on a now-ancient version of UE.
