I'm usually not very sensitive to these sort of things but reading the article I actually see their point. Not going to go join a crusade to burn down EA/DICE over it, but it's kind of a shitty move. I think the ISIS/Taliban analogy makes sense here.

I quite liked the PSP redesign :shrugs:.

It does look slow and as if it belongs on last-gen consoles. I partly blame Series S for this but the future will paint a clearer picture regarding this topic. Also, Halo has never been a looker. The atmosphere and music has always been great, but never the graphics.

But I am not all negative on this game, it's a day 1 for me for the campaign and the multiplayer looks like something I could get into. I did play a lot of Halo 1 multiplayer back in the day with friends.

I agree and I think the developers were aware of this. I don't know what all the voice actors charge but I imagine it's not insignificant and it probably came down to Nickelodeon not believing the risk/reward was in their favor. Personally I think it would have done very well but who am I to say.

Well the trailer looked gorgeous and it looks like an incredibly ambitious game considering everything going on in there.

Also, Court of Owls trailern impressed too. Looking forward to seeing gameplay of Suicide Squad and more gameplay from Arkham Knights.

What frustrates me is that MS has more or less hamstrung this generation by releasing the Series S. In a couple of years time, when Sony's inhouse devs are releasing PS5 exclusives (no cross-gen), they'll be the ones showing what can be accomplished with a fixed targeted high-end hardware and just like they stunned us on the PS4 (released 2013!) with titles like Uncharted 4, Horizon and TLOU2 they'll be stunning us like no other company on the PS5.

Personally I ...

No other company than Nintendo would get away with selling a low-spec system like the Switch. It's fine for cartoony games and particular styles of games (to a certain extent), it's shit for everything else.

I used to desperately want a PS4-XB1 like Zelda and even Mario because I love those franchises and Nintendo could make spectacular looking games while still retain the essence of those series.

Yeah, I would much rather have gotten a Scaleboun...

You mean the games designed originally for a system that was released in 2013?

First let me say I am a PC Gamer, one lucky enough to have a beefy PC with a 3090 so don't get me wrong. It's just worth noting what they were able to accomplish on hardware that old.

I'm frustrated that we don't have more next-gen exclusives. R&C is the best looking game I've played and we really haven't seen what next-gen consoles can do. Horizon...

It's not lazy, no one that has worked at any games company would call studios as a whole "lazy". Everyone works overtime, except perhaps for peeps on R&C. I include devs doing PC ports even if it's a pretty thankless job.

However, we haven't seen true next-gen titles yet. Lack of next-gen consoles availability, all developers have focused on cross-gen titles so outside of Ratchet and Clank we haven't really seen what next-gen is capable of so a...

But they are supporting it? Halo Infinite is coming to PC same day as Xbox in December so I'm not sure why we are complaining about a 6 year old game?

For this game you got at least 1 1/2 years to get one :). Really curious if Wolverine is going to be a '23 or '24 game as that makes it insanely early to announce a game. I personally don't like games being announced 2-3 years ahead of their release, something that's always bugged me with the games industry.

I know it was a super short tease but I hope Wolverine is a 2022 game and not a 2023-24. I don't see Insomniac releasing Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine in the same year. I know it's unlikely it's a 2022 game but who knows.

What I do know is that I'm really happy Insomniac are doing Wolverine. Only other Sony studio I'd prefer to do it would be Suckerpunch but hopefully they are working on GoT 2.

To give it some credit, it was the first game that I'm aware of with real-time Global Illumination with bounces, two I think but it could have been more than that. Global Illumination in this case means that you could be in a cave and even though there's no light source directly lighting the inside it would be lit by the light bounces from the lighting outside.

That's impressive on the PS4, and the reflections were really good as well. I don't think they we...

Easily the best looking and moving game out right now and why? Next-gen/New-gen exclusive, and I can't wait to see their next title as they said R&C:RA is just the tip of the iceberg as far as what next-gen/new-gen is capable of.

Urgh, so their bias is real then or would they cave to any developer asking for this?

1618d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Hmm, I feel Digital Foundry have often been a bit MS biased but I'm glad they were transparent with this request. I don't know why they'd honor it though going forward. That's kind of a big deal considering what the channel is all about. Does this mean we are not going to get any comparisons from them between Xbox Series X/S versions and PC versions of Forza Horizon and Halo this holiday?

I think right now is when I'd be most interested in seeing the di...

I trust in Rocksteady, I think they have fairly free reigns after the success of the Arkham series. Gotham Knights. however, might be more influenced by suits to maximize profits. Rocksteady to me is by far the better studio, not saying WB Montreal hasn't made good games but they are not on the same level as Rocksteady.

But it's been a while since Arkham Knight and its VR entry so who knows if they still have all the talent they did during that era.

The question should really be "Can you run Ratchet and Clank PS4 (2016) but also add in switching between levels within a second?". The answer is no, so there's no lie. On top of all that, Insomniac also made a game that looks better than every other console game out there, even including performance demanding tech like raytracing.

I imagine this clever guy knows this but figured it'd be an awesome clickbait video.

Strange how it's one of the most beloved in the series, though haven't read the article. They might talk about pre third strike and consoles starting to take over while they were betting a lot on arcades still.

I don't like the silly direction SFV has gone, a lot of the costumes are bananas in a bad way. Also looks like trash, but I do enjoy watching the tournaments, have my favorite players and all that.

Strange of Capcom to say "Luke ...

I would play this game if they let you play alone, without bots, after the campaign is over. I actually really like the combat of most of the characters and I would love to play the war room and missions just solo. It's a nice looking game as well.

My main criticism overall besides the lack of a solo option is that the missions you go on are such cardboard environments. Just repeated tiles in different configuration and they don't feel natural at all.
