Apples to oranges... Every famous super hero is bound to make it into the Matrix City demo.

Can't wait for Insomniac's Spider-man 2 though. Hope we get to see some gameplay this June.

A lot of really good points in here and I'm still salty about MS's decision to put out the XSS so my comment is going to focus on that. Extremely curious to see how devs behind true next-gen games like the outfit behind Black Myth: Wukong are going to handle the XSS version. I can see that game falling to below 1080p, like 900p along with some heavy optimizations.

Also, if the XSS didn't exist devs could have pushed essential gameplay features further like true ...

I thought the main campaign was a bit short so would have loved to see an expansion this year but I hope whatever they are working on is a meaty expansion because they crafted a beautiful world. Most of the non-bug related stuff didn't bug me (the inventory menu/system was what bugged me to most, especially from a visual point of view).

I played this on PC when it came out I ran into practically no bugs except for the sentient taxis one being busted but I was lucky eno...

How do we know the size when the release date is October 25th? At this point you can sort of make predictions based on alphas, if they've been conducting those, but most of the optimization and new compression techniques are applied towards the end; that's been my experience on a couple of titles. Even if it ends up at 86GB I think consumers have shown they are ok with it over the past couple of years.

Btw, is there going to be anything worth playing, non-indie titl...

I've been a developer on custom engines, UE4 and I'm currently working with UE5. My experience with UE4 was pretty smooth and UE5 is going smooth so far on a much bigger scale game but it's early days. I know in some cases Nanite and Lumen took a lot of developers by surprise, the tech is pretty darn good, so I can see why some studios are considering it and committing to it. I do know devs that complain a lot about UE too.

There's the possibility that CD P...

This sounds really odd to me. Isn't the whole point with ADS to be able to be more accurate? That part was completely fine on PC using a controller when I played it on _release_.

"Just because someone is a developer doesn't mean they know the ins and outs of another development team."

This is exactly right despite all the downvotes.

Also, partnerships pale in comparisons to what publishers / developers make from sales. It's possible some PO'd Lead programmer made it worse on purpose but highly unlikely. It would definitely not be a decision by the heads of the studio.

? That's what config files are for, storing the settings.

You're allowed to have it! I partly agree with you except in this case I'm enjoying it enough to want to get good. I actually gave up on Returnal after reaching the last biome, but hoping to get through this game. Second boss was annoying to me the first two times but honestly on the third attempt, I was able to beat the level at age 21 fairly easily. My main criticism would be sound design but based on their last game, this is their style and they're sticking to it.

I'm glad too it's being called out. One of Bethesda's Studio's lead programmers called it out a couple of years ago and was swiftly taken down when the acquisition happened. "Parity matters" read part of his tweet. It's going to affect all games but I was really happy to see that Epic got UE5 running relatively well on it. Lets see how it pans out with all developers who use their own tech once cross-platform current-gen only games are here.

I'm really enjoying this game. Not sure why it got so many 5s through 7s. At least I see some reviews popping up now that are 8s and 9s. Maybe I am not far enough into the game to see what's so bad about it.

Oof, weird conversation and oddly missing out on some facts that are known.

* Biggest wtfs was all the questions about arcade modes and racing. Yeah I get that they ask one or two questions but a lot of time was spent on this topic. It's a simulation racing game.

* There is raytracing as you race as well, there's a "full raytracing" 30fps mode (which surprised me that they even included a 30fps mode) meaning raytraced reflections and li...

@Neonridr It's pretty flawless on the Quest 2 though when using wireless and playing PC VR titles.

_Really_ nice real-time clothing simulation.

It's been a long time since we got a good tennis game, I hope this is it.

Why the downvotes? This game is without a doubt one of the best looking and technically impressive games out right now. If you forgot how good it looks, go check it out again.

@CobraKai Don't let that stop you, it's a good game. I even got drawn into the story at one point which I didn't expect in the beginning so you might play it through.

They displayed quality and quantity with Dying Light 1. Given how long development has been on Dying Light 2, I hope/expect them to deliver the same with the sequel.

As far as I've understood it the game can pan out in a number of different ways meaning if you want to experience all of it, you'll have to play through it a few times (or specific save points and the narratives each leads you down) to have played all of it. It was just revealed 20 hours is more an expe...

What? I\ve loved almost all first party Sony games up until now and I don't really doubt the gameplay but the visuals seem like a downgrade from last summer, and the reveal trailer before that. Looks like a somewhat beefed up Horizon.

Hope I'm wrong, I really want this game to impress visually and through its gameplay. I think we're seeing the effects of PS4/PS5 and the limited resources they had to optimize all assets, lighting etc. on the PS5. Some things look...

Agreed. Can't wait to see the controllers and the haptic built into the headset sound really interesting and I can imagine it adding to the sense of immersion. Plus of course Tempest will bring great 3D Audio by good developers.

I think this will be the first consumer headset that will have an HDR display. This will make a difference, bringing a little bit closer to true life lighting into the headset will go a long way. Wonder what the nits it goes up to. It mentions f...

I agree and would actually take it a step further; I dislike games that end on a full cliff hanger. I don't mind hints at sequels, but games that don't wrap up major story arcs in one game bug me. In the case of GoW, having had to wait almost three years to see the conclusion is frustrating.

Yes, they wrapped up Baldur's story and there was a twist but it still left me wanting. Don't get me wrong, I still really enjoyed the story and I will enjoy seeing it w...
