One point to make, they are releasing one character a month so the last of the announced will be in September. There's a chance we'll see more DLC characters this year.
I liked it. I even platinumed it. It's not a master piece, but it was fun.
Just because he's most known for Gears of War doesn't mean that's all he can design. We don't know. But I trust him to know his own limits and I think 3 cooks in the kitchen would have been too much, no matter their combined talent.
You know when you get stuttering? That's due to lack of RAM. PS4 has a shared pool of 8GB which makes it a bit easier to program for. XB1 has the ESRAM to make up for this but as we've seen, that can be a bottleneck especially for getting a high resolution. There are so many variables that go into developing a smooth running game.
On paper more powerful PC is always going be required than an on paper console because PC's have 100s of different configurations whil...
Fair enough but I am hyped, everything I've seen this looks like a killer title. I don't like that they changed the main character's appearance. I know it's to an actor that plays part in the TV show, but I preferred the look of the guy in the 2014 demo.
That also bugged me in Watch Dogs actually. Went from someone with lots of personality in his face to just a standard looking dude. Casting is important.
What are you talking about? The industry is thriving like never before and piracy is as alive and well on PC as it ever has been. Even more so now given how easy it is to find games for anyone.
I call this BS, but seriously, in a year's time we'll see if Denovu games are selling a massive amount more because of it.
The thing is, those of us that condone piracy are speaking from experience. Did Witcher 3 sell bad on PC? As much as Jonathan Blow complained, he's making bank from Witness which is an indie title. Yet I didn't see that make the top row here on N4G once the sales of the first week were released.
I have a friend, not making this up since as I am perfectly able to stand up for my own actions, at least anonymously, who got a decent PC for Christmas. He was on wellfare an...
This game is fairly taxing. The speed it runs at, and the PS3 was notorious for not being able to handle many opacity mapped particles. The terrain is streaming in incredibly fast. I would not underestimate this achievement. And personally, I wouldn't expect anything less than a 970 to run this. I have a 980, new cards are coming this year and I am sure we'll have good PS3 emulation by the end of the year.
Also on a side note, emulation is the reason we are able to en...
It really isn't. Initial reviews might say so, but it's a lot more than just a tech demo, it's a good, even mostly great game.
I was going to add Second Son and Ryse to that list as well. They both looked amazing (and I all aspects of SS except its story). First Light was amazing as well. The Order definitely deserved the win.
It has a full story. Think of it as a very evolved LBP.
I don't get the high review scores. It's beautiful, but the puzzles are extremely tedious after a while. Not difficult, just tedious and repetitious. Only thing I enjoy are the audio clips. This never would have gotten a sale from. If it did, I would have buyers remorse. I bought ROTTR and I absolutely love it.
So as much as people want to believe, Jonathan included, that these are lost sales, a very small number of them are. Once we live in a DRM world that can't...
They've stated you can record any sounds you want. I don't know how it will be monitored, but it's in the menu and they have talked about it.
Don't compare physical goods with digital goods. I buy tonnes of games when I can afford it. When I can't, however, I download them. There's no loss in a sale for the publishers. I downloaded Witcher 3, when I got money I bought it. I am one of the consumers of video-games that keep this industry alive. It's very rare for me to download games, it's only when I am broke (I have a job, but sometimes life deals you a shitty hand). I even work for a developer and have for a lo...
I feel the developers behind Dying Light have done a great job as well. They are even giving out graphical updates for free even if you don't buy their expansion The Following. I loved that game, and feel the developers have been very honest and good to their users. Will definitely pick up The Following.
I'll add to the sales when it comes to PC. I am a gamer, not a platform person. Anyone who is so fixated on sales has issues. As long as the gaming industry is doing good, which it is, I am very happy. I buy a mixture of PC and console games. No platform owns me, but some platform owners (Microsoft, Sony, PC makers) sure seem to own some of you guys, making you tools.
Can't wait for this game. One of my most anticipated games. Problem is I work as a 3D artist, making games, but this game looks to have the potential to have me play around so much in their world. The tools they have created is nothing like the ones we use for work. Zbrush is the only one that you could compare it to, but only just a tiny, tiny bit.
I love how it's all voxel based so you can make pixel perfect adjustments, real-time booleans, paint shaders, never h...
Who wouldn't... Nintendo is an excellent developer, I don't think anyone questions that. It's their own hardware choices people have issues with.
MS needs more games like this. That's why I chose the PS4 really, because of the strength of Sony's first party. If MS had more great first party titles, I would already own an Xbox One. I was going to buy one for QB, but whenever there's a PC version I go for that.
Just my personal preference. Say if Uncharted 4 came to PC (I know it never will), I would get it on PC.
I don't care about companies, unless they give me a moral reason to choose...
