Steam has good pricing and is generally pro consumer, also gamers generally like their library in one place. This is why people like them.
This is absolute bullshit and you know it. If Red Fall and Star Field had hit, Xbox would not have gone third party and you would be here saying the exact opposite of this comment. You are just blindly defending a multi trillion dollar corporation, why?
1. 30m is an appallingly low number.
2. Being that they abandoned exclusives and therefore abandoned their core audience, they will sell far fewer units next gen.
Xbox is a dead brand.
Zero chance Steam appears on Xbox. It would instantly kill the Xbox store and even Microsoft isn’t that stupid.
99% of customers don’t know what keycards are.
Clickbait article submitted by the author. xbox is cooked, done, over, dead.

I feel a lot of it is down to EA, Microsoft, Ubi and other big publishers completely abandoning original content and only trying to serve up micro transaction filled slop.
Indies are keeping gaming alive now, AAA is on life support. Throw in £70 rrp game prices and the future has never looked gloomier.
Xbox operating costs are without a doubt eye wateringly high, way way way higher than Sony. GP is costing them an absolute fortune to operate.
