This roadmap will be dead within a month after the game completely flops.
Ok I guess my 25 years in the industry working specifically at some of the companies you mention means nothing.
You have no clue what you are talking about. Optimization always comes last and every studio you mention works using the first method you list.
Rawf - that’s a depressingly short list of mostly average games. This gen is a complete dud imo.
I know many n4g users don’t want to hear this but I think it’s pretty much undeniable - Sony are a complete disaster this generation. Back to their arrogant (ps3 era) worst.
I got rid of the portal and traded it toward a rog. Input lag on the portal was a dealbreaker for me in the end. It was always my least used device.
I have a rog allly with SteamOS installed, it’s a fine device as long as you temper expectations. It can run modern games at 40-60 fps but only at low settings (which look perfectly fine on a small screen). The battery life is really bad, 1 hour max on a modern game.
Having used the device for the past two weeks I am happy with it.
It was a good game but nowhere near the goat list.
All the previews say it’s nothing special. The first game was good for sure but the hype for the sequel is bizarre. It’s a good indie game, nothing more.
It was very cheap, very quickly. A lot of people tried it for a couple of hours then traded it.
The game was average and the ceo was a pro crunch asshole.
I am running Steam OS on a ROG and a desktop. It installs with one click and works seamlessly.
Games run faster and no need for a kb or mouse attached so it works in the living room.
It’s been one of the best decisions I made using it.
Cowardly downvoters here refusing to admit that Trump is a disaster for the US economy and price rises are down to tariffs. Instead of downvoting, explain what’s really happening if it’s not tariffs.
‘So called tariffs’? Do you think they’re not real. Trump introduced a 15% tax on these goods (ps5 in this case) that is payable when it arrives in the US. There is no workaround, either the company eats the tax or they raise prices. All companies hit by this will raise prices.
Imagine paying a monthly premium to play laggy single player games.
Sounds like a dreadful setup you have.
Last one was terrible. I have zero interest in a sequel.
Maybe stop trying to force your political views on others?
The guy running that website (and active in the comments here) is always pushing an agenda. His articles are not to be trusted.
For example, Sony didn’t release any first party games this quarter so revenue is low anyway.
This guy is a fraud.
Every Digital foundry article is the same boring ass, dry, stat comparison that only weirdos, who don’t actually play the games they buy, obsess over. I’ve no idea why they have such a good reputation.
Isn’t that a really low number? Kinda shows GP is not doing so well.
