It must be nice to be a preview member....
I see enormous franchise potential here. Definitely one of my most anticipated games of next year after that demo.
Yeah I can't disagree from what i've played up to this point. While the WItcher 3, Bloodborne and MKX were all great I have to say that Arkham Knight may be one of the most engaging open world action games I've ever played. Maybe my opinion is a bit colored as RPG's aren't my favorite genre but the sheer content and spectacle or Arkham Knight is breathtaking and probably makes it my goty up to this point.
I don't see how people are hating on the stage demo for ROTR. It not only showed beautiful graphics and cool platforming mechanics but also managed to differentiate itself from Uncharted 4 while remaining in the same drama. It was easily one of my favorite demos of the show. Can't wait for the game in November.
His actual Reasons:
#1) You own a PS4
#2) Your pissed it isn't coming to PS4
#3) Your pissed you bought the Definitive edition and that the sequel isn't coming to PS4
#4) See 1-3
Why would anyone downplay the importance of the return one of the greatest third person shooting franchises of all time? Of course Gears is still a huge show stopper until proven otherwise. Theres a reason it moved millions of Xbox 360's before Halo 3's release. I thought the reveal was not amazing but was definitely worth getting excited over. The coalition seems to have a clear vision of what Gears should be and I'm on board to see what they have planned.
I mean I'm getting Until Dawn and the Nathan Drake Collection like the next guy, but comparing that to Xbox's 2015 holiday lineup is kind of crazy. Halo 5? Forza 6? Gears Remastered? Tomb Raider? Thats a strong lineup no matter what biased way you spin it. Halo 5 is the biggest exclusive of this year without a doubt. Any arguing is just denial based on the numbers. Sony's lineup is weak this year, but they'll be back with a strong spring next year.
Based on your list Sony probably could've put a 6 month old turd on the stage and you would've said it was the "mic drop" of the show.
God forbid Avalanche Studios doesn't choose to shove their political ideals in are face and instead just try to make a fun game.
I think so. The Witcher 3 is great but i don't if it can top the finale of the Arkham Trilogy.
The first 2 are amazing games? Arkham City and Asylum are both considered two of the best games of last gen....
I would give my vote to MKX at this point, but could easily see an argument for the Witcher 3 or Bloodborne. But with the likes of Batman AK, Halo 5, MGSV, and the new Tomb Raider among others its way to early to say which game would be goty.
While I like the Witcher 3 and have fun playing it, it definitely doesn't deserve a perfect score in my opinion. There are far to many technical flaws and a few design flaws that hold it back. I'd personally give it a 9/10 but i could see someone going as high as a near perfect score.
It's a combination of exclusives, where your friends play, and other additional features such as apps or the controller. There's so many factors to making a decision. The Ps4 and Xbox One are very similar machines in term of what the value they offer. The Xbox tries to do more new but in that fails more often while the PS4 is very reliable but almost to safe and similar to the PS3.
GTAV without a doubt had the best missions is the series. So much variety and different fun situations to be put in. It was a really refreshing change to the go here, kill a load of people, grab something out of a warehouse, and drive back formula from GTA4 or some previous iterations.
The Last of Us is way to low on this list.
Have other games got there scores adjusted for hype? The Order's reviews were spot on despite the hype. Destiny's reviews were spot on despite the massive hype. Watchdogs reviews were fair too. Plenty of hype games were disappointments last year and were reviewed and scored appropriately. So why is when a games like Bloodborne, MKX, and The Witcher score high were now questioning this? Everyone should just be happy we're finally getting great AAA games for the new consoles.
Ummm just buy it on whatever console or platform you own? And if you own multiple buy it for the platform you like playing on the most? Pretty simple stuff.
Never will understand why they get reviewers who aren't a fan of the genre to review these genre specific type of games/
If you really think its gonna be 300$ and have 2-3 games coming with it you need to take a step back, get out of your fanboy bubble and check reality.
